The Mecenate Palace is a 4-star hotel in the center of Rome which faces the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. The Roof Garden Restaurant and the Sky Bar provide views of Rome's rooftops.
Score from 540 reviews Very good
Hotel Giorgina is 500 ft from Termini's Train and Metro Station. It offers simple and functional rooms with free Wi-Fi, TV and private bathroom.
Score from 997 reviews Good
The hotel has good location within walking distance to major sights (Colosseum, Forum, etc). Parking was easily available in the street right in front of the hotel for only 7 Euros a day (Sundays for free). The bed in the room was comfortable and towels were changed every day. Internet connection was sustainable with good speed (compared to other Italian hotels).
Shower in the bathroom was rather bad: cabin was very small, shower head was blocked with lime, water temperature was all time changing. Poor breakfast.
The staff were very friendly and super helpful. Great size room with good aircon.
The convenient location near to the main railway station- a 5 minute walk. Plenty of dinning options in the immediate vicinity. Staff were helpful.
The very small bathroom is ok for cleanliness and facilities but so so cramped. Not good for the less agile.
Its convenient for train travel, its centrality in Rome, It has easy access to range of dining options close by. The staff are very friendly even with my lack of Italian
The very tiny bathroom adequate but very cramped- not for two at a time!
In the middel of Rome, you could walk to all the things you would See very friendly, you just had to ask and they arranged It for you
The shower was very smal Most of the days the fruit was finished at breakfast
Great location, very close to the downtown, 15 minutes walk to the colloseum, city centre, the Termini train station is about 5 minutes. There is a metro station near the hotel, which stops at almost all the famous places. The Staff is polite, and helpful, breakfast was good, Wifi was good.
i could'nt say anything
Friendly staff Good location Nice rooms Good breakfast
Noisy street. Can't sleep with the windows open - good thing they have A/C
The location is fine, the staff very friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and comfortable
The breakfast is really poor for North European standards. Some good bread, eggs and a sharper knife would be good.
Our family of four stayed 3 nights- June 27th to 30th - in room 210, which sleeps four. The room was small, but comfortable. The air conditioning worked well and there was a mini fridge in the room. The free continental type breakfast, while limited, was still a welcome amenity. The bathroom was clean and modern, although the shower stall was very, very small. All in all, we were satisfied with what we got for the price, considering its Rome.
None of these items were major problems for us, but should be mentioned. No gluten free bread on breakfast menu. Shower stall extremely small. No lift, so had to carry luggage up two flights of stairs. Only one pillow per person (although on nights 2 and 3 we got 2 additional pillows).
Clean and simple hotel. Good breakfast.
Breakfast food room no lift.just stair to the 5th floor
Location was quite convenient. Breakfast adequate. Staff quite helpful.
The shower stall was too small. A/C didn't quite work.
Located close (within walking distance) of Termini, in a nice clean neighborhood, with shops and restaurants nearby. The man at the desk was very nice, and helpful. Room was small but good for our purposes.
No lift (elevator), and many steps to navigate luggage. But we did receive some help from the staff with our luggage.
The Maitre'D was most helpful!
staff friendly and helpful, breakfast delicious and plentiful.next time too coming here.
the bed mattress
Good location, fast wifi, professional staff
Thin walls, can hear people in next room, lousy breakfast
good location. friendly staff.
the cafe is too small, so it's a little bit crowded
Attitude of the staff towards customers. Location of hotel. Aftercare post checkout, allowed baggage to remain in secure room until we were ready to catch transport home some 5 hours later.
Nothing to mention.
Breakfast was substantial and the location, close to Termini, was very good. Sheets were changed frequently. Staff was very friendly and helpful. No elevator, but staff carried my bag.
Room was "monastic", i.e. very, very small. I had to back out of the bathroom. This company also offered a discount with the Green Line Hop off and Hop on bus which was extremely unreliable and oversold its tickets. Please be aware of this.
Room smelt. Had to go through 2 locked doors, through an adjoining apartment block and enter our floor through a door that said "Jubilee Hotel". We couldn't find our way out.
This is my second stay at the hotel and the staff were very friendly in welcoming me back. I like the location to the train station and the very nice breakfast with great espresso. We liked our room, too.
Carrying bags up 3 flights of stairs.
Good Location Very friendly and helpful staff Close to metro
basic rooms but comfortable
Showers, small, hot and cold!
location staff terraced breakfast area bed/mattress clean room
the noise levels in bedroom could do with triple glazing 100 steps to bedroom strange layout hallways need attending too, rather shabby
