Excellent value. Hotel is in a great neighborhood. 116 bus is just a block away off of Via Veneto, and drops you off at red line metro station. Homemade breakfast served in small room by member of the family owned property. Staff friendly, attentive. Single rooms are small but clean and free wifi included. Requires you to buzz in during evening hours biut that never presented a problem. Highly recommended.

This is a very small family-owned and driven hotel. They have been thinking of most small little details in this nice hotel. The hotel is very clean, the family (staff) is very friendly and the location is good. Breakfast was of a high quality compared to similar hotels in Rome. My room was very small. I knew about it beforehand. There were some difficulties in locking my door, and I needed to be very slim to get into the shower and to serve myself in the breakfastroom.

The location was great. Rome is a very very expensive city so just be aware. You can spend a great deal more and get that American experience but as little time as you spend in the room if you are out and about then the extra several hundred dollars a night is not a good buy. Best to go somewhere and get your security, breakfast, and location. Via Venneto! La Dolce Vita!

I liked the coziness of the hotel and the privacy that the staff allowed. It fit my needs and I would definitely stay there again. It was close to many shops and restaurants and local transportation. No complaints, except I did not know how to use the tv, but I didn't need it anyway.

Central location, affordable and the staff/owners were great. The only thing I woiuld recommend changing is having blackout curtains on the room. The single rooms were quite small but typical for Europe.

The owners and staff at the Hotel Golden are wonderful. They definitely want all guests to enjoy their stay. They have great suggestions and recommendations for the city. The location is perfect, close to sites and the metro. The rooms while small (at least the single) is very comfortable and clean. Free wifi in the rooms is great to have. My only recommendation is that they have blackout curtains. The do have shutters but it would be great to make it a bit darker.

Family owned and operated. The staff was extremely warm and helpful, went above and beyond to help us have fun during our one day in Rome, recommend reasonable, family-owned restaurants, and get us to the airport early in the morning. Breakfast was delicious. The room was quaint, spacious, and comfortable--an amazing value, especially considering how expensive Rome is!

This small, family run hotel was an excellent choice for our experience in the large bustling city of Rome. The family was knowledgable and always helpful in guiding us with respect to directions, recommendations, and general information. We traveled as a mother/daughter team, and were extremely comfortable. Their location is also far enough away from the main streets that we slept very soundly. We heard from other tourists staying in other hotels that sleep was a problem because of noisy streets, but not for us. We were very happy.

This is a family operated hotel and they were very accommodating, attempted to solve any issue we had and Guiseppe recommended a couple of restaurants close by which were great. We particularly liked Il Pomodore! We also liked the location as we were able to access the Termini area (hop on and off bus), Spanish Steps and even St Peters by foot. "Grazie" to all the family.

The friendly family-atmosphere. The staff answered all our questions and gave several suggestions about where to eat, what to visit and how to get around. And always with a smile. We felt really welcomed! Location is also great, close to wonderful Villa Borghese and also close to the city / Spanish steps. Nice quiet surroundings. The breakfast was a bit too "sugary" but that is not unusal staying in hotels in Italy. Nice and fresh anyhow.

very friendly and family-like atmosphere, excellent service, lovely breakfast, perfect location - very safe This time (our 2nd time here) our room was positioned towards the inside (and a bit scary) part of the building, so we had very little daylight, which was a bit depressing, but we did not mind that much - only spent nights in.

“The staff at Hotel Sweet Home is wonderful. My daughter and I were exhausted from our flight to Rome, then train from airport, and then got lost trying to find hotel pulling all our luggage. The owner got our luggage and took it to our room because we were so tired. They are helpful about where to go in Rome and provide a map, answer all questions, and are very accomodating. The hotel has Magic Jack so you can call long distance for free (you can take their cordless phone to your room). Wi-fi in room was great. Roger who works at night is a great guy. The reception desk had bus tickets and train tickets so you could buy from them and just get the tickets validated which was wonderful. The location of the hotel is perfect, very close to Termini and walking distance to all sights. We loved this hotel and the staff is awesome.” Kelly, Canton |
