The Hotel Helvetia is convenient to the train station. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff is helpful and friendly. The breakfast room was very clean and breakfast was good. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay there again. |

The staff was very friendly. The location is very good, just in the historic centre. The (single) room was very tight and long. The traffic at the front of the hotel is rather strong. |

The rooms are very small and dark, the furniture was old and broken. The bathroom was not very clean. We didn`t like it at all. |

This was a very nice hotel with excellent location close to the harbour, old city, and other main attractions. The staff was kind and helpful, and the breakfast was decent. |

It's in the center of the city. To be fair for three star hotel I thought would be better. In our room we had problems with the showers, air- conditioning and they were rude when I mentioned the problems. Also the hotel was more expensive then the booking i had made, in the end we had to pay for extra something that she didn't explain. the end result was very unsatisfactory. |

Staff is very pleasant, ready to help. They even advised us a place to eat and showed on a map must to see in the city. A very good location of the hotel. My room was rather noisy (even with closed windows) |

Staff were very friendly and professional. Room was clean and quiet. AC worked. Convenient location. The breakfast was not very good. There was bread with ham and cheese, yogurt, and sweet pastry, but none of it was that great. Coffee was mediocre, but you can order a coffee from the staff that is better. |

Helpfulness of staff in getting our luggage that was left at JFK by American Airlines. American did a good job of getting it from MXP to Genoa, but the staff made phone calls on our behalf that relieved our anxieties. Location walking distance from train station. Mosquitoes. Not the hotels fault but they were rampant in Genoa and came into the room and feasted on us. Wish the staff would have mentioned them and we may have kept the windows shut. |

The location is good so long as you always turn right out of the hotel. A left will take you into the 'darker' areas of town. The room was reasonably sized and clean but a little out of date. The staff on reception we delt with were ever helpfull, and spoke really good English. If anything.. It was quite noisy in the mornings, but it is a busy hotel on a busy road. |

The reception service was prompt and efficient.The breakfast selection was very good.Location was central. The lift was very small, but then space is at a premium in such an old building, so we managed! |
