Score from 643 reviews Very good
The price was extremely good, also if travelling by train it's just a few steps away!
we arrived on a very wet and cold day, the heating wasn't able to be turned on until 6pm so we were very cold for a few hours. wifi not available in hotel rooms.
location-close to the train station
wifi connection only in the common space perfectly not working in the room. Shower is aufull. And the Room was freazing cold at night and the beding is so bad too.
Room was cleaned daily. Location. Breakfast was simple but fine.
Room was advertised with a tv, didn't even come with PowerPoints. Noise from road and hallway constant, no reprieve. Having to hand in key everyday. No wifi in room.
Location Cheepest price Reception
Loud sound from the street
The staff welcomed me very warmly. A very nice selection was offered for breakfast.
Though the page on Booking.com advertises a free drink at the bar for those who book through the website, I was told by the bartender that this deal was only valid for the summer.
Profesional reception staff stored our suitcases till we could book into our room. The room was clean and large enough for us 3 sisters and a nice bathroom and enough space to hang out clothes.Hairdryer and heating worked very well. The rooms are directly in front of the esacalator taking you to metro. We could explore city and nearby Pompei and Soriento easily from the station. Found good food within a few hundred metres from our hotel . The public lounge had good wi fi reception , but no reception in our room. Breakfast was very nice with cold meat, breadrolls, juices and very nice coffee as well as cereal..Be sure to get up early for the breakfastroom was always crowded with people waiting Around for an available table.Had a very good stay in Hotel Ideal for 3South Africans touring Italy. Lana, Hanlie, and Adri
No lift. that is a problem if you are travel weary with large suitcases that had to be carried upstairs and downstairs. Would have loved a little help from a porter . Hotel Ideal could employ a youngman who would be able to help women with their heavy suitcases upstairs? Wi fi codes differ from area to area in the hotel.Be sure to get the rigth code for your area. Signal itself was fast and good for contact home.
It very near to the train station, very convenience to go everywhere. Staff are available 24 hours and very helpful
The room are a bit old and the shower not draft very well, the fan in the bathroom seems only bring the wet air from bathroom to the room. Wifi connection only in public area.
very good quality/price ratio, nice big room, close to the Railway Station
walls are sound-transparent => very noisy in the morning, breakfast is very poor, the area close to the Railway Station gives bad impression of the city
the beds were really comfortable and the staff very accomodating. The shower had great water pressure and was really hot.
The toilet did not always flush and the bathrooms are really small.
good price for good location
The heating is not warm enough
I love pool and sauna.
Breakfast and wifi signal was so poor
Cheap, it's ok for 1-2 nights not more. Quite clean. Near the train station. There was wifi in my room #70. Ham and cheese for breakfast.
The hotel is very old and needs reconstruction. Old kinescope TV repaired with scotch. When I tried to open the water in the shower, shower handle fell on the floor. When taking shower the water is all over the bathroom and even in the room. It is very cold in the room and I caught a cold. There is an air conditioner but no remote control so you can't switch it on. Very noisy both behind the window and behind the door. I sleep well but it disturbed me. Breakfast every day the same. One day espresso finished (in Italy!!!) One of the staff (he called himself manager) perhaps decided if the girl travelled alone she was looking for adventures. He offered me champagne as a welcome drink and every day was inviting to go out with him. He was very intrusive and made me feel uncomfortable. Be careful, girls!
Friendly staff, room was simple but does the job well. Good value for money, 5 minutes walk from the station. Again, breakfast was simple (mostly crossiants, ham/cheese, jams, tea/coffee) but it's still good value. Wifi worked well.
it is very cheap
first I was going to stay in room 16 but the room door was not secure at all, i opened the door easily without using the key! i couldn't lock the door from inside. wc of the room was for disabled people. so i changed m room. but room no 30 was not that nice at all because of the loudiness. they didn't warn me about the noise of the construction just in front of the hotel!
they have wifi only in reading room not in the rooms :(
It is almost next to the train station and two metro lines. Very good price. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Be careful of pocket pickers around the area. Wifi only available in the small lobby and a small reading room on the first floor. Could be noise at night when other guests are walking and talking.
Close to train
Its in a horrible area of naples. We heard gun shots. The rooms were filthy and smelly. The bathroom had hair everywhere, the conforters had holes in it. We slept with towels covering everything. No wifi
Cheap and clean and the shower worked fine. You can park in residents' designated parking bays because no police are in sight Breakfast was good Lady at the Breakfast was very nice and she did a great coffee
When we arrived in the area, there were prostitutes around the corner and a small fire burning rubbish just outside the hotel. There is a construction site right out of the hotel. The area is dirty but clean compared to the rest of Naples Shower door was broken and one side was left there - a shower curtain was added. Gypsum repairs in the room were not finished It's close to the station but not to the centre
Location - very convenient and handy to go everywhere, in particular to travel all over the Campania. A cozy hotel. I deserves a higher estimate than its 6,... Heating was perfect. Reception lady very professional. Felt safe. Breakfast host - kind, as well. Would come again and recommend it as a handy, modest, but comfortable and safe hotel.
Different quality of the rooms, so you never know what you will get. We were there for one night - at the beginning and at the end of our trip - the level and quality were pretty different.
The location of the hotel is great - the center of Napoli, close to the public transport. The room was cleaned every day. People in the reception are very kind and helpful, no problems with communication in English. Excelent cappuccino for breakfasts :)
In our opinion the room should be repainted and refreshed. The curtain was so dirty that it was gray. The windows are porous and because of that the room was really cold. Unfortunatelly the heating was on only from 6 pm to 9 am - in winter it's not enough. The bathroom was even colder - a ventilator in the wall was fully open and there was no way to close it. During our one week stay our towells were changed only 2 times (one of it was the last day).
Extremely well located right next to the main train station. Friendly and helpful receptionist.
The lack of wifii in the bedroom is a big pain at times - in the evening, everyone crowds around a small reading room (only area with wifii). Rude and unhelpful manager. Tried to collect hot water at around 7pm and got shouted at by the manager saying that the dining room is closed (this was after the receptionist has given me the permission to do so). Simply ridiculous that a hotel doesn't provide hot water.
Only the location, close to the metro station
Everything was DIRTY, starting with the reception room, the reading (internet) room, the breakfast area and the rooms. Not to mention the bathroom with its ceiling full of mold, the dirty shower curtain, the water coming out of the bathtub and getting into the room. An interesting feature is the electrical wiring as everything is shut down by a switch (so if you need to charge your phone you must sleep with the light on). The staff was unpolite, we complained about the shower issue but nobody cared. Each day there was a different person at the reception, promising the issues will be repaired, but the next day another one comes, not knowing and not being able to solve anything. The breakfast is a joke, they prepare cappuccino in the microwave oven, the coffee tastes horrible. If we wouldn't have booked non refundable we would have left as soon as arrived there ...
very dirty breakfast was extremly poor room was too small don`t book a room at this hotel
big and tasty breakfast; Hospital owner
the smallest room I have ever stayed, No wifi in room, only reception and kinda reading room. At reception there is only two chairs and small area, reading room is for maximum 10 people, despite the hotel has 92 rooms The shower is old and uncomfortable
