The location, the helpful staff,the permanent soft drink and coffee facilities near reception and the decor.

The leak in our bathroom but we did report it.

Great breakfast which was included in the room rate.Coffee and tea and snacks available all day and were free.Rooms were well designed and immaculately clean.

Would have preferred heavier curtains in room - there were only see through curtains which were not substantial enough at night.

The hotel is within the walled portion of Lucca, a fabulous Tuscan town. We reserved the room the day before arrival for 70% off the usual price per Booking.com. Though $119 it was well worth it in that without additional charge they had an excellent buffet breakfast, offered free bikes for enjoying Lucca, as so many do (cars are limited in the walled city), offered audio guides to explore the city, had wonderful high end cookies, beer, soft drinks, juices, coffee and teas available all day and evening. The staff were very friendly. If you can get this at this price, grab it. The reg price was said to be $379, which I would not have taken, as no hotel, even with what they offered is worth that to me.

Our triple room was beautiful! We love the modern design. Your staff was also very friendly and helpful.

Hotel staff was very helpful, the hotel provided many extras for their guests, the property was very convenient and it was great value for the money.

We stayed in the Annex and is was spectacular! Clean and roomy. Front desk very helpful and adjacent lounge area provided free afternoon beverages and snacks. Breakfast area was very nice and good selection of food. Great deal for the money

Nothing negative to report.

We have stayed at a variety of hotels in Italy over the last 10 years and both agree that Ilaria was one of the best. The hotel is well situated, quiet and relaxing - lovely to return to at the end of the day. The breakfast was excellent and all the staff especially those on reception were charming.

There was absolutely nothing we didn't like - we were both sorry to leave and would love to return some time.

Position of hotel was good. Staff were excellent. Helpful and very smiley!! Rooms were v comfortable.

Rooms too hot!!

After a terrible journey there the staff were so helpfull it was amazing, nothing at all was to much trouble for them. The room (mezzanine) was very child friendly with no sharp corners, minimal breakable items, and very comfortable.

The breakfast, the rooms, the free drinks and snacks all day and night, the location for visiting the city was superb and if you had brought a car (we didn't) there was parking, the staff were helpful and knowledgeable.

Nothing really, but it might has been nice if there was a "proper" bar to have a drink at night.

Friendly and comfortable good value for money hotel. My second time at the Ilaria and will be back there next time. Good location in Lucca for a relaxing break.

Beds were a little hard .

We have stayed many times in the Ilaria over the years and it never fails to please. The staff are very accommodating and the breakfasts excel.

We have stayed in Lucca many times and this was the best all round hotel we have stayed in.Our room was lovely,the location was perfect within the walls of Lucca and the staff were exceptional. There was an all day refreshments area which was free to hotel guests,how considerate and unusual is that? We will stay again for sure.

Friendly welcome. on-site parking (rare in Lucca). Location, inside the walls but next to a park. Cosy lounge/reception. General fit-out of public spaces and room.

For my taste, the bed was too hard.

The location was perfect. We dropped our car off with the hotel and just walked for the 2 days we stayed. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the room was clean and comfortable for 2 people (we had twin beds). Breakfast was perfect and having refreshments in the lobby was also a welcoming surprise. Had I stayed longer, I would of liked to use one of their bikes, so maybe next time!
