The hotel reception staff were excellent. They were well informed and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The location could hardly be bettered being within easy walking distance of almost all of the major places of interest and of the Citybus and Aerobus stops. There were excellent trattoria within a very short walk. It would have been useful if there had been coffee/tea making facilities in the room as, of course, there is no bar or restaurant. |

Very central,but in quiet street.Staff friendly and helpful.Room spacious and clean.Breakfast good. Air conditioning noisey and neccessary to be on all night as it was hot,however so tired from sightseeing slept regardless. |

Hotel was excellent. Great location just off main street. Staff very helpful, printed off train timetables to Modena & parma for us. Room was a little dark as it faced onto the internal court yard. Breakfast was a little limited but enough to get you through until lunch. Would definitely stay there again. |

The room was large and comfortable, the breakfast was good, location is excellent (close to main shopping street and piazza maggiore) No bath tub, no facilities. Rooms are good, but hotel does not provide any amusement. |

The hotel was in a great location. It was exceptionally clean. Everything was in excellent condition (paint, wallpaper, carpets, bedding, towels, etc). It was much nicer than I expected considering how internet pictures can make a place look nicer than it is. That was not the case with the Zanhotel Il Canale. It was very nice and very comfortable. The bathroom was bright and very clean. The breakfast was actually quite good. The staff kept replenishing various offerings of meat, cheese, fruits, breads. The desk staff were friendly and eager to help, including printing out train schedules for us and recommending places to eat. I'm very happy with everything. Glad we stayed there! I'd highly recommend it. |

The place, near the center of the city and the railway station. Room and bathroom with plenty of space, clean and comfort. The name il canale is real because a canal is in the back of the hotel and a room is over it. Many fine restaurants 100 meters around the hotel. |

The hotel staff was flexible -since I had made a mistake with the booking- and we were lucky they still had one room available. The room was well furnished and clean. Breakfast was good so overall good rate for quality/stay. |

The hotel is an excellent, central position, very convenient for the railway station and the main sights. The hotel itself (we only saw the ground floor) was well maintained and the staff were very helpful and friendly. |

I liked the very good staff who spoke excellent English and gave helpful advice about places to visit. The breakfast too ws excellent No internet access. WI-FI would be helpful. Wired internet was offered for 5 euro an hour which is very expensive however there was no computer just a screen and leads going nowhere!. The night staff member just shrugged his shoulders and said he knew nothing about it!! |

Nette und freundliche Hotelmitarbeiter; auf Sauberkeit wird viel wert gelegt; Behindertengerechte Einrichtung; direkt an der Shoppingstraße Frühstück ist sehr überschaubar ausgefallen - war den vermieteten Zimmern wohl angepasst. Frühstück war gut - Auswahl war nicht so groß. |
