Hotel Il Giardino  

First great impression given by the owner, very helpful, professional and friendly, totally informed about the city of Siena, fully equipped of useful material appropriate to the journey planned (maps, leaflets etc...). He gave us as well a historical introduction about the city, which soon became very useful while visiting. Also the restaurants advised where perfectly guessed. The room had a great view, clean, spacious and quite. The breakfast served was really high quality, a well supplied buffet and of course great food and beverages quality (coffe, cappuccino etc...) Location was perfect, just 3 minutes walk to one of the 11 "doors" that gives access to the city. ******* El chico que trabaja ahi es muy disponible, amable y profesional. Sabe muchas cosas de la ciudad de Siena y tiene muchos papeles apropiados para todos los tipos de vacaciones. (mapas, panfletos ecc..). Nos ha hecho una presantacìon de la ciudad muy utìl durante la visita. Tambien los restaurantes que nos ha acconsejado estaban muy bonitos y con comidas ricas. La habitacìon muy limpia, buena visual, silenciosa y espaciosa. El desayuno muy rico y con muchas comidas disponibles (tambìen cafes, cappuccinos..) La ubicacìon tambien perfecta, solo 3 minutos andando para llegar a una de las 11 puertas que dan acceso a la ciudad.Ci ha fatto una piccola introduzione alla città che presto si è dimostrata molto utile durante la visita della città. ****** Ottima prima impressione dataci dal proprietario che si è subito dimostrato disponibile, professionale e allo stesso tempo amichevole. Molto ben informato sulla città di Siena e fornito di tutto il materiale necessario ad ogni tipo di vacanza (cartine della città, volantini ecc...) Anche i ristornati consigliati sono stati ben indovinati. La stanza era spaziosa, pulita, con ottima vista e silenziosa. La colazione servita di ottima qualità, un buffet ben fornito e ovviamente ottimi sia il cibo che le bevande (compresi caffè, cappuccini ecc..

Cannot call it a negative point, but there was not much shower gel and shampoo available for taking a shower. ***** No tenia mucho shampoo ni gel de ducha para ducharse ***** Non proprio definibile un punto negativo comunque non c'erano doccia schiuma e shampoo per la doccia. *****

Can't say enough about this place ! The Owners and staff were super helpful and friendly. We noted on our last minute reservation, that we were traveling on our Honeymoon, so they provided us with a balcony room with a view of Siena. The hotel is outside the city walls, but only a 5 minute walk to the heart of the city. The front desk was prompt and helpful in arranging an all day wine tour for us. At the bar, the owner shook his finger at the staff if they didn't fill our wine glasses to the brim. They sure aim to please. Many of our scenic and sunset pictures were taken directly from the balcony of our room. It was peaceful and quiet at this hotel, and to our surprise, when we checked out, we were given a wrapped gift and a hug, in congratulations on our marriage.

We drove around Tuscany to visit wineries and historic villages, as well as to explore Siena. Il Giardino has free parking and is just outside one of Siena gates, making it convenient for both. It has a very nice view of Siena if you get the right view as well. It also has a nice pool.

It is a little bare bones, but still very clean and workable. One cant expect too much at a relatively moderate price.

The hotel is incredibly friendly. The staff are very welcoming and speak excellent English. Their restaurant recommendations proved totally reliable. The room was clean and had a lovely surprise - a balcony with amazing views of the Tuscan countryside. Buffet breakfast was very good. The pool is a fabulously welcome feature, especially after a day of sightseeing in Siena. Location is great - right by the gate to the old town and about a 20 minute wander through characterful streets to the Campo. Not a luxury hotel, but absolutely perfect for a young couple, singles or families who want the best of both worlds - sun and sightseeing. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

This hotel is very costly for what it is. Do not be attracted by the fact that it has a pool and dispel immediately any notion of an evening drink with a cocktail after a day wandering around Siena. It won't happen! The hotel is best described as a reasonable low budget hotel like Travellodge or ETAP located next to a public pool. Rooms are basic and clean but there is no service at all in the evening. In fact, all the staff disappear after about 7.00pm. If you want evening drinks etc, you will have to walk about 15 minutes into the town. The pool cannot be described as a hotel pool but is a (very) public pool used primarily by the local people and it is very busy, as is reflected by the scum mark going all the way around its sides! It closes at 6.00pm. I persuaded the owner to let me and my kids swim after that time but the price we paid for that was having to climb out over the fence as the rude pool attendant intentionally locked us in. If this hotel was literally half the price, there would be not much reason to complain but it is grossly expensive for what it offers, even in Siena. Location also is only adequate but not brilliant for the city, and the only advantage it has over hotels closer in is the parking.

It was impossible to sleep late in the morning because staff started cleaning other rooms very early and did it very noisy

Całkiem niezła lokalizacja choć poza murami, około 1,5 km do centrum, idealne miejsce dla osób poruszających się samochodem. Z dworca lepiej wziąć taksówkę bo można się pogubić. Sniadanie niezłe.

Pokój nie odpowiadał temu co było w opisie. Nie było czajnika, lodówki a dostęp do internetu był tylko na piętrze natomiast my dostaliśmy pokój w podziemiach....

Hotel bem estruturado e bem equipado. Funcionários simpáticos e prestativos. Cafée da manhã excelente! Quarto espaçoso e banheiro grande. Perto de um dos portões de acesso a cidade.

Não tem internet no quarto.
