Hotel Italia e Lido Rapallo  

We would stay here again in a heartbeat. A fantastic location, right on the edge of the harbor with a public beach within 25 feet of the front door. The view is magnificent; the harbor, restored fort in the harbor, the town and mountains. The harbor view rooms face west and have sun all day. The restaurant is quite good with table seating on the water. Very comfortable rooms and beds, we were in two rooms. Each with a very generous terrace. The upper rooms have smaller balconies.The rooms have been recently remodeled and the quality of the materials and design is very good. In general a very comfortable place, with a good staff and a location that is to die for. This hotel is not for those looking for modern amenities or to be pampered. It is just for those who appreciate good quality & service in a setting and location that is excellent. We had planned on staying one night, but once there we cancelled our Milan visit and stayed an additional two nights. The staff was very accommodating.

The showers are small and the lift is quite far from the lobby.

So old hotel but frienly staff.

The rooms by the street side looks like a hospital and not at all sunny.

Basic hotel in a perfect location if you are visiting Portofino area. Rooms are very basic and needs updating. Breakfast was very busy with only one person serving so it was chaos!!

Rapallo ia wonderful place to stay and enjoy Italian Riviera.Rapallo itself is a facinating town.

Breakfast is quite poor and staff members serving the breakfast are very unfrendly.

Helpfulness of staff. Location and view. Great place to relax and enjoy some good family time.

Perfect locality - max 5 minutes walking from the railway station, by the seaside and in the center of the town

My room had windows on a busy street and it was a problem to keep them open in the night. Besides, if you live the hotel earlier than 7.30 you will stay without breakfast (they don't cook it). So if you stay here for more than 1-2 nights it's better to live in rooms with windows on the seaside

The triple room 104 which we had had an access to a magnificent huge terrace offering a spectacular view on the Rapallo bay. Also Lido has it's own private beach. The service was friendly and welcoming.

Closed to the beach, next to the rock beach. You could swim or sun baht by the hotel. Great place...we all love it.The service is good too.

Wonderful view morning & night from the balcony and the excellent breakfasts. The clear seas & watching the fish swimming round below. Strolls along the promenade or the pedestrianised streets. Short boat trip to Porto Fino & St Margheritta.

Helpful staff and a great location. Fabulous view over the little castle in Rapallo. Our stay was greatly assisted by the various reception staff who helped us with travel details, suggestions and ideas in relation to things to do and trains to take.

The poor Euro/Sterling exchange rate made the hotel more expensive for us that we thought it deserved to be.The "private beach" is really just a private rock ledge/ patio and it was not surprising that no one really went on it. However the great location, the view and the helpfulness of the staff made up for this.

Our room was lovely and had a panoramic view of the harbor. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The location was good as we walked the Cinque Terre on 3 of our 4 day stay and the close proximity to the train made the daily travel easy. It took about 40 minutes. The complimentary breakfasts were very good and the restaurant for evening meal has a lovely outside option on waterfront. Rapallo is a lovely town and we enjoyed the beach, restaurants, shopping and a very good market on our last day. We would recommend the hotel unreservedly and would love to return.
