Hotel Le Terrazze is located right on the Amalfi Coast, just out of Conca dei Marini. Rooms and terraces offer stunning views of the sparkling sea below. Parking and lobby Wi-Fi are free.
Score from 292 reviews Excellent
Set on the cliffs of Vietri sul Mare, La Lucertola offers modern rooms with balconies overlooking the Gulf of Salerno. Completely renovated, it features a private beach with bar.
Score from 268 reviews Good
Offering free Wi-Fi, Sharon House is in Amalfi, 800 ft from the sea. Relax in spacious rooms with views of the town and the private garden.
Score from 104 reviews Wonderful
kindness of staff, good breakfast
old mattress in the bed.
Very friendly and efficient staff. Nice room with a balcony with wonderful view. The terrace was nice, but we were unlucky as it was cold and breezy.
Non availability of WiFi in rooms was a put off. A landslide cut off the access to the west, which was not cleared for the days!
Hotel La Pergola is 2k out of the centre in a quiet area on the main road. The property is easy to locate, staff were friendly and helpful and our room was very clean and well maintained. The breakfast room is the comfortable hotel restaurant and food selection was good, and coffee made to order was nice.
Our room was like a monk's cell, no windows. The free wifi was only available in the lobby or restaurant. The bed had a plastic cover the mattress which was not the most comfortable to sleep on.
We loved everything about this hotel. It was clean, spacious and serviced daily. All staff were welcoming and friendly and able to communicate effectively in English. This is a family run business run in the most professional way. The in-house restaurant is not to be missed if you stay there. Breakfast is buffet and the evening meal is a vast selection of fresh local delicacies. the bar is accessible throughout the day and evening for coffees and beverages. The location is apx. 1.5 km from the town of Amalfi which turned out to be of no disadvantage. We walked the distance numerous times, taking about 20 minutes - fantastic views along the way. If you are not into walking, the bus stop to Amalif, Positano, Sorrento and other towns is right at the door of the hotel. Again, we used the buses regularly. There is plenty to see locally, mini tours, ceramics, the walk of the gods, tours to Capri and a host of other activities. We stayed an extra night but really needed another day or two to explore the sights of Salerno. We would stay at this location again.
The only issue we had was the very first day.... we did not realise the bus stopped at the front door so coming in from Sorrento by bus, we ended up in the town of Amalfi and had to find our way back. So...... Make sure you tell the bus driver that you are staying at La Pergola. They all know the hotel and the excellent reputation it has.
Very good staff, breakfast and it was clean.
The room was clean, we slept very well in the bed and most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. A good selection of cake at breakfast and a good, but limited tourist menu for evening meals.
Wifi was only free in the lobby/dining room (pay for use in bedroom). First time we'd encountered this after travelling most of the way around Italy.
Extremely helpful and friendly staff, clean and charmingly decorated rooms, great breakfast and pretty good location (around 20min walk to the center of Amalfi + a bus station just in front of the hotel for those who prefer to save some power) - you get all that at a very reasonable price! I can only think of two minor downsides - the wi-fi signal was pretty weak (which is not that bad if you really want to take a rest) and it is a bit noisy since it is located just above the road. However, if you are really having a quality time at the Amalfi coast with all its tiny towns, long walks, stairs, etc. you sleep like a baby and do not hear the traffic noise. In general - 9.5/10!
Everything is average, you pay what you get the kind of the hotel. The breakfast was disappointing especially there is really no other choices nearby. The wifi is not free except in the lobby. The lobby is always dark and depressing. No simple facility like kettle in the room.
The location is very nice in a quite place, but has great links in to town. Bus stops right out side the hotel door.t is about 25 minute mostly down hill walk into town. The staff are very helpful and friendly it is very clean , has its own restaurant, has a good breakfast. Has a good pizza resturant 20 meters away. Has large areas on the terraces for relaxing or sun bathing.
wifi did not always stay connected in the room.
The view from the roof terrace is as good as the pictures show. The hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly. Decent breakfast options including fresh fruit and cakes. Good selection of hot drinks and alcoholic beverages.
30 min walk to Amalfi town from an evening out due to no night busses. Alternative is a €25 taxi which is a 5 minute drive.
Distance to Amalfi is OK, you can walk. Otherwise local bus just in front of Hotel. Staff OK, and good to advice about transportation etc. Road just outside your vindow, but after 22 trafic is very limited, so noice ok. We had very good dinner with homemade food made by "mom". This is a OK hotel for visiting Amalfi, price OK considering the area, and quality of rooms reasonably.
Hotel was clean, towels were changed every day, staff was polite
About 20 minutes from Amalfi town centre, breakfast was extremely basic and the same every day. It can be quite noisy, especially in the morning
The location and the sea views that went with it. The owners were so friendly, cheerful and very helpful that they and their hotel which was always clean tidy with a great atmosphere made our stay so enjoyable.
Very friendly staff, great breakfast, large room, air conditioning and hair dryer, elevator was helpful with the luggage, parking available in the place, nice terrace garden with a great view and many lemon trees.
You have to pay for wi-fi connection, but it is free in the lobby area. There are some buses that don`t run in this street, you have to walk a little bit or get a taxi, as it is almost impossible to find a parking spot in Amalfi.
Room had great view, bathroom good size. Staff helpful and friendly
Had to bus or cab to Amalfi or Positano. Beds not very comfortable, rooms not cleaned very well by maids
Staff was friendly and happy to help anytime Room was clean Good water heating, great shower experience :) Decent breakfast included Bus station right in front of the hotel
Room need to have soundproof windows because the hotel is in the proximity of the road. For this price, the Internet in the room should be free. Breakfast could have had more options, but that's just how Italians eat :) A bit far from the city, you need to pay at least 4.4 Euro/person/day for the go-return trip to Amalfi Center
The room was average, the service was average, breakfast was average... We had a car so the location was no problem, but we had to pay for parking...
The shower is so small, even a girl my size (1.63) could get claustrophobic...You have to pay for the wifi. If you do not have a car I don't recommend staying here, because the city is far and busstop is not close and buses don't come often. The info we got at the reception where to go swimming, where to eat etc. was wage and not really informative. So we had to learn on our own. The closest beach to the Hotel, which was good we had been told, was a disappointment - hard to reach, small and really crowded. It is nearly impossible to find a day bed in any beach if you have no reservation- which they forgot to tell us, even though I asked.
Very pleasnt staff. I had some health problems and the staff arranged for me emergency medical service very helpfully.
Very strong traffic just in front of the hotel. The hotel is far from from the center of Amalfi.
30 min walk to the main town. Reception staff need to smile more and acknowledge their patrons. Tiny rooms, not suitable for families.
Beautiful little hotel in a perfect place just outside the town of amalfi. Would definitely stay again
Nice hotel and great staff. Its outside amalfi around 30 minuts of walk. The busses goes regularly but are very crowded in summertime. Breakfast okay, especialy if u Like cake.
Everything. Especially the the friendly and very helpful staff. Mario was a superb help in every sense.
A bit far away from Amalfi for walking with kids.
The size of the room was good, and two of the workers
The front door opened onto the main road, The advertised beer garden, couldn't find it, Breakfast was terrible, the same things were stored and brought out every day. The owner sat at the front desk chewing his nails and didn't even acknowledge us once. We hated this place, and it's not even worth booking because its location is terrible and so is the price.
We came as a young couple looking for a budget option in Amalfi. At first, we were worried that we were a tiny bit outside of the city and that we wouldn't have the "luxury" experience of the Amalfi coast because we weren't in one of the big hotels. Boy did we luck out though! This hotel benefitted significantly from being outside of the city. Our room (we had a higher floor room, the lower floor rooms admittedly aren't as nice) was phenomenal, with a beautiful view of the water and far enough from the street below. The room was small, but very quaint, clean, and more than enough for our purposes. We could walk on the rooftop terrace and drink a bottle of wine, and when we woke up, walk towards the lemon groves near the terrace to smell the fruit and enjoy the beautiful view. The staff was PHENOMENAL--they are almost reason enough for going. They gave us all of our recommendations, planned all of our trips...we loved them! There is a private beach near the hotel that is far better than anything offered in the center of Amalfi. It is a secluded tiny beach nestled in the mountains, with pristine water, many locals, and amazing restaurants that bring you drinks and appetizers per your request. The hotel was about as perfect of a budget option as we could have asked for; romantic, vintage italian, and about as perfect of a location as we could have asked for.
