We have traveled to Rome three times and have stayed at Hotel Le Petit each time. The staff speaks excellent English and is very helpful and friendly. The location and rates are excellent. It is around the corner from a metro stop and a 10 minute walk from the train station. It is perfect for all of our needs and the rate is very reasonable for being so close to the major tourist attractions. We would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a place close to the attractions that is reasonably priced. There is also free wifi and a courtesy computer to check email, etc.

I think the staff is what brings the most value to this hotel. The employees are very nice and proactive, offering us useful information and also making our stay extremely enjoyable. We really felt like home :) Another good thing about the hotel is the location.very close to via Nazionale and a nice restaurant ,Cotto .the metro station is 2 minutes away , there is also a bus station right across the street. The room was clean, the bathroom as well, they changed towels every day. The hotel was ok , not great. What I considered a minus : -the shower cabin extremely small -the room walls seemed somewhat shriveled and greasy. -The noise can be a real pain at night if you don't have a deep sleep :) because of the poor isolation. -Breakfast rather poor and 75 % made of sweets(Italian style)

Our first impression was positive due to the warm welcome from Johnny who was working the front desk on arrival and who was very accommodating with information and recommendations to navigate the city. The location was excellent to get around by foot or metro. There was a great market within two blocks with fresh produce, meat etc. And next door a small shop to pick up reasonably priced bottle water, juice etc. Compared with other hotel options, this was a bit less expensive and knowing that we were not spending a great deal of time in the room, a reasonable value. We had a triple room with three twin beds, 2 were very hard, the third was a pull out chair bed that sunk in the middle, the arms of this chair/bed were very worn. Breakfast was very basic - rolls, danish, cold cereal. Small packaged cheese and canned meat was in baskets, no fresh fruit or yogurt. Coffee, tea was made to order

We stayed this hotel for 4 nights to go sightseeing. The way back from Vatican was good, because the express bus (#40) stop was very close to this hotel. It took for 1 min for Repubblica metro station, and for 8 min to Termini by foot. This hotel is not far from Termini, so you can choose line A or B.

Really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Le Petit!! After reading the previous mixed reviews, we were not sure if we should book but really glad that did. Loction excellent, 2 mins to the metro. Staff extremely friendly and helpful from the guy on the reception desk to the room attendants and breakfast ladies. Breakfast was adequate for continental: cereals, tea/coffee/late etc, croissants, bread, jams and nutella. We had three single beds, room serviced daily with fresh towels. Wifi could be had at breakfast room and reception. Overall very happy with Hotel Le Petit and would not hesitate to stay again!! The only minor thing was no kettle, tea/coffee making facilities in room, but not alot of hotels in Rome have, easily overcome by bringing our own wee traval kettle!
