Hotel Locanda Canal  

I chose the Locanda Canal because it had been recommended by a friend who had stayed there at Carnevale. I couldn't fault it; although the hotel is tiny, our room was large, with a nice bathroom which was absolutely spotlessly clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the breakfast, although simple, was perfectly adequate and actually more substantlal than I'd expected. The location of the hotel is absolutely ideal - it took us about seven minutes to get to/from the Airport Vaporetta, with only one bridge to negotiate, so the hotel would be good for anyone with restricted mobility. Thte hotel does not have a lift but it does have a stair-lift. The Piazza San Marco was only a few minutes away, with the Rialto Bridge very too. Everything was lovely. I imagine that a room with a view over the canal would have been nice, but then such a room may have been smaller. I hope to go back again to the hotel, and will certainly recommend it. (I am a Tour Manager, working in Europe, and people often ask me to recommend hotels; I shall have no hesitation in recommending this one.)

The only thing which was missing was a full-length mirror - a tiny omission.

Late at night or early at morning, you cant find anybody at reception.

This is a typical 3 star hotel but the staff is excellent and ery helpful. It is very difficult to find. They need to put a really good map and set of written directions on thier website.

Room was large, but furniture and fixtures a little worse for wear, 3 lightbulbs needing replacement, but no spares onsite! Shower lovely but so small you had to slide in sideways and doors did not open and close easily. Hotel computer was a dinosaur, but free.

It is a simple hotel which is located almost in the center. Breakfast is simple but certainly well enough.

Günstige Lage, 5 min zum Markusplatz, 8 min zum Rialto. Hübsch eingerichtetes Zimmer ( Junior suite) mit zwei großen Fenstern zum Kanal. Freudliches Empfangspersonal. Gute bequeme Betten.

Das Frühstück ist zwar ausreichend zum Sattwerden, aber einfach und eintönig. Es gibt jeden Tag genau das Gleiche. Keinerlei Abwechslung. Für Urlauber aus Deutschland gewöhnungsbedürftig.

Nous avons passé deux jours excellents ! L’hôtel est très bien situé, à deux pas de la place Saint-Marc ! C'est juste un peu long pour accéder depuis la gare. Mais le personnel vous propose de venir vous chercher au pont Rialto et vous accompagner jusqu'à l’hôtel. Cependant, rien de plus agréable que de se balader dans les ruelles et même de s'y perdre en cherchant l’hôtel juste pour le plaisir. Le petit-déjeuner est bon, juste devant les chambres. Le personnel est accueillant. L’hôtel est très calme, notre chambre donnait sur une toute petite ruelle très calme. Côté esthétique, chambre agréable et l'entrée de l’hôtel donne sur un canal et un pont très charmants. La salle de bain est toute neuve, la douche a des jets massant ! La climatisation fonctionne bien et n'est pas bruyante. en bref, c'est un hôtel que je conseillerai pour ceux qui recherchent un très bon rapport qualité/prix et une bonne situation géographique dans un petit hôtel qui a un certain charme.

Nous étions cette fois à Venise à l'occasion du Carnaval. A l'hôtel LOCANDA CANAL, nous avons eu un très bon accueil en français, ce qui n'est pas négligeable ! et nous avons apprécié sa situation à proximité de la place St Marc et des autres sites fabuleux de Venise.

очень ограниченный выбор на завтрак, если хотите хороший экспрессо - об этом нужно отдельно предупреждать - иначе нальют бочкового кофе. маленький зал для завтрака, если все просыпались одновременно - кому- то приходилось ждать очереди позавтракать. горячая вода после 10 утра исчезала до обеда. постель и полотенца меняют только после личной просьбы.
