Friendly and helpful staff, they even offered carrying my heavy suitcase up the stairs. Great location - points of interest easy to access, well communicated with Airport. Small but cozy and very clean rooms.
It is not clearly stated in hotel description that there is no lift. Stairs are steep, so if you are elderly or with heavy luggage this can be a problem. Apart from that everything else was fine.
Breakfast in the restaurant near the hotel is great! The food in the restaurant is expensive but quality is ok. Shower is good.
Bed's are hard. A lot of small ants in the room. Some noise in the evening as the hotel is located above a restaurant.
Everything perfect. I would come back to this hotel. Good breakfast and the restaurant next to the hotel is fantastic
i loved the innkeeper. she gave me a pair of boot covers when i left because the sidewalk was flooded. the maid was amazing. she even put my toothbrush in a cup so it wouldn't be on the sink. breakfast was amazing. only a five minute walk from the train station, and in a very quiet neighborhood. i would definitely stay there again.
It was close to the train / bus terminus Away from all the bustle Great eateries/bars Shopping Breakfast was very good Great view along the canal
Room was a bit small Pillows were too hard
Location, staff, breakfast
On the third floor!
location is great, staffs are good
like most Venice hotels it doesn't have an elevator which is not a big problem though. I liked the hotel and I shall definitely stay again
The location of Locanda, close to P-ale Roma. From the window we can see the gondollas on the front channel. The continental breakfast was very good.
The breakfast is excellent!
great value for money. I was a little bit sceptical about this hotel but I can't complain about anything. don't expect amazing 5 stars accommodation but if you want a nice place to sleep, quiet, clean and in very good location book it now. you can't go wrong with this place:))))))))))))) some people complained about breakfast but I don't know why. ok breakfast was basic but for this price I was happy. you have coffee, tea, croissant, roll, juice, jam etc. etc
nothing to complain for this price
Friendliness of staff and food in restaurant
Beware of mosquitos
A/C is not cool Too small room
Very nice location (near piazzale Roma, good access to the Grand Canal), very kind staff and good breakfast (with brioche).
The shower water took time to go hot, so you have to wait a little bit.
Location is great, wifi worked well, helpful staff
The room was tiny
Great location - near the Grand Canal but in a much quieter area and still within walking distance of all the main sights. Very friendly staff.
Shower wasn't great. Bit expensive, but it is in Venice so I guess that's to be expected.
Position position position. This is the spot, even though the balcony is a bit squeezy for two it is fun to get out on there and soak up the atmosphere. I would stay here again no problem.
Older gentleman host was a little grumpy occasionally but otherwise it was fine. We actually named them Basil, Manuel, Sybil and Polly - they were all there.
The hotel is located very close to all sorts of transportation, train, buses, vaporetto. The room we booked was very tiny. We stayed there for three nights and managed even though the luggage was kept on the floor. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had to leave the hotel at 4 am to catch a bus to the airport and they were great about it even though they do not have 24 hours front desk clerk. The breakfast was just OK, nothing special, but a good start to a morning in beautiful Venice.
We did not like the size of the room but we kind of expected that since we booked at economy rate.
No lift, very small room, wi fi irregular, no coffee/tea making facilities, no mini bar, room facing outdoor restaurant area with music going till late at night, breakfast very poor selection and smoking allowed in outdoor seating area at breakfast
location: 3 min walk from piazzale Roma, only 2 bridges to go (of which one along which you can push the push chair). Breakfast: really good for Italian Baby friendly: They have a baby bed and a high chair
nice position, good breakfast, nice price
View over the canal from our room (but we paid extra for this). Proximity to rail station. The breakfast was okay, although horrible cereals and coffee. Good Wi-Fi reception. Friendly staff.
Reception desk not open 24 hours as stated on website as staff are sometimes working next door in the restaurant. There was no one there when we arrived. It was irritating having to get someone to open the door for us each time we went in or out - this shouldn't happen in a hotel. Sometimes no hot water and always low water pressure. Poor lighting (no window) in shower room due to second bulb missing from light. Room clean but shabby. During heavy rain one night water came through wall and ceiling wetting clothing. Difficult to sleep when other guests banging doors and talking in their rooms at 4am. Also woken by people standing talking outside the hotel in early hours.
Great crossaint (althou only one per person)
- Good staff - Good location
- Too simple breakfast
Canal view from room; wifi in rooms, good value for Venice in summer
