Quite good position and clean sheets every day.
Poor facilities - poor breakfast. Staff quite unhelpful. Very bare rooms and sockets very difficult to get to work. Bathroom poor and shower curtain dirty.
Near to Metro/train station
we did like the locations and the friendly staff, breckfast was nice and cleaness
well the shower wasen't the most practical
The staff was friendly and helpful. the room specious and clean. with 2 separate spaces . got cookies and a bottle of wine for departure. And help with heavy luggage.
get some shelves for the wardrobbe
Location was perfect, just 3 min walk from central train station and close to the all atractions. Breakfast was good.
Wifi did not work at all in our room, we asked reception several time to sort it out, but no one cared.
Convenience and position of hotel. Lots of atmosphere in the surrounding area. Lots of reasonable restaurants and large supermarket nearby. Not far from station. Staff very helpful. Breakfast excellent ... Good choice.
Ask for a room with chest of drawers as we found we were living out of our suitcases. Also not many plugs so we used our small extension lead. Room quite dark. But all in all we would use the hotel again.
Bed far too small, noise from neighboring rooms, no wi-fi, old furnishings and curtains - dirty appearance
A good location near the train station
Hotel was clean and staff were helpful. Close to train station and all tourist sites. Room was really good big enough for 4 and bathroom very good.
Breakfast was OK but Wi-Fi was poor and could not be picked up in all places
Room was comfortable and clean, buffet breakfast was excellent but the best thing about this hotel is the staff. Always pleasant, happy to help with any questions and assist with any issues.
The bed was a little hard for my liking.
Location, cleanliness, friendly staff
There was nothing we didn't like
Great location and staff were fantastic
Shower too small and showing mould.
Good location, very friendly staff, helped us with parking of our car.
Wifi was very weak, nearly useless.
Good location, Recommend a room with roof balcony
Wifi is weak on higher floor
Location, not the street but distance from amenities
Breakfast minimal, view discusting-window overloooking dirty courtyard and facing a dirty looking hotel, shower so small a person a bit overweight would not manage to get in, no rooftop terrace as depicted on photo's just third floor terrace which is dirty and has no view of rooftops.
Staff was helpful. Breakfast included. Close to train station and city center. Room was quiet.
Shower was tiny.
Location Friendliness of staff
Paper thin walls Horrible room with miniscule shower Terrible Breakfast - even for Italy No WiFi
Spacious, clean rooms in a convenient location close to Santa Maria Novella station, the central market and Medici Chapel. Plenty of well-priced restaurants, bars and ice-cream parlours in the neighbouring streets. Breakfast constantly replenished and adequate but not everything seemed available at the same time.Would be happy to stay again but we had a refurbished room and bathroom; the second room had a rather tired bathroom needing updating. The rooms were quiet and the air-con kept them perfectly cool. We booked early and got an excellent deal which made it great value for money.
Corridors and shared areas in need of complete refurbishment.Politeness of reception staff varied considerably which was a real shame. The hotel needs a new canopy and better outside signage as we walked passed it initially and it's easily missed in a street full of hotels
The location is great for exploring Florence, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the Breakfast is good. The breakfast room has a limited seating capacity and yet the two staff running this were very efficient, effective and attentive, managing to accomodate all guests with minimal fuss and delay- bravo!
We did not like the fact that we were made to pay in full on check in. The rooms and furnishings are comfortable and correct but, in general, a little basic and tired looking. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you are travelling by car: the recommended garage was expensive (33€ per night) and did not look after our car well: we later discovered scratches and a damaged wing mirror. when we notified the hotel they were not sympathetic and the garage denied any responsibility.
The location of the hotel is close to the train+bus stn.the markets and all major attactions,(Duomo 200m),etc,etc. We ordered a std dbl room ensuite, with a balcony, the room was stylish and clean, balcony with view of Duomo, good.
The bathoom stank,....mouldy shower curtain+frame and the drain ment we had to keep the window open ! We would have had a better chance of sleeping on one of Sids rocks from ` Ice age`...than the bed !! Breakfast.. hahahahah,a dry roll,a slice of ham and a cup of coffe. (just go and buy breakfast round the corner!)
Comfy room although small. Made up for by huge balcony (room 505) with great view of Duomo and covered glass market. Good quality maid service, our room was spotless and welcoming every day. Excellent bed and pillows, wish I could have taken them home.1 minute stroll to daily leather market, 2 minutes walking distance from train station and 3-5 minute walk from Duomo and Santa Maria Novella church. Excellent! Would definitely stay here again despite small niggles.
Incredibly small shower, unless you are a skinny size 8 you will probably have to shower with screen open and clean up floor afterwards. Beware plug adaptors they are not typical european! some sockets used 2 pin and some used unusual 3 pin in a straight line. No tea/coffee making facilities in room which was sadly missed after a long days sight seeing.
The staff were both friendly and efficient and answered queries with courtesy
The glass shelf above the sink got in the way whilst washing
We booked a Suite, and really the interior is all "old" tired, the carpets in the passage, corridors is from 30 year ago, and the pillows was awfull uncomftable.
The bathroom is so noisy, when people at the top or nect to you use toilet is so noisy, the food at breakfast felt like all came out of tin. The only good thing about this hotel was the receptionist she is so friendly, and helphull. We never saw a manager at breakfast. Terrible old hotel, in a busy street. Rather stay little out of town.
Amazing location, just 5 minutes from the central station and then a short walk to all the sights. Safe, secure, professional knowledgeable and friendly staff. Very large room and comfortable bathroom and a lovely balcony.
Breakfast was a bit of a mad rush, there seemed to only be a couple of members of staff and not enough food or tables for the amount of people staying there. We didn't have to wait long for a table or for them to top up food and cutlery but I could see it annoyed others.
