The Hotel Delle Nazioni is 165 ft from Florence Santa Maria Novella Station and a 10-minute walk from Florence Cathedral.

Set on a side street just behind the cathedral, Hotel De Lanzi is near the shops and main monuments of the historic center of Florence. The simply furnished rooms have private bathrooms.
Score from 728 reviews Very good
The Michelangelo Florence is near the Stazione Leopolda conference center and a 10-minute walk from Santa Maria Novella Train Station. It provides free Wi-Fi throughout the property.
Score from 361 reviews Very good
The Machiavelli Palace is in a 14th-century convent, 320 yards from Santa Maria Novella Train Station. Its roof garden overlooks the historic center of Florence, and Wi-Fi is free throughout.
Score from 800 reviews Good
I don't think this is an accurate 3 star rating. Wifi was very expensive and only worked in some communal areas, therefore I did not purchase it & so was without internet during stay. Bathroom had no shower curtain and was difficult to actually stand under showerhead due to its location making for a difficult shower and leaving bathroom floor covered in water and very slippery. Room was fairly old, tv tiny with only selected news channels. For a short stay it was ok.
Very close from Statione Zentrale (very easy) Comfortable, nice rooms (beautiful paintings on rooms walls in some rooms) continental breakfast
Good bathroom size and nice towel.and also room itself is nice.
Airconditioning is very poor .
Location Breakfast Value
Lazy staff couldnt be bothered to take the parking garage receipt and notify the Firenze Council because we didn't park in their friends car park....from past experience, I will now be sent a penalty from the authorities and have to have a big argument with Italian bureaucracy....you really don't need that....
Excellent location! Central to all shopping, sightseeing, bars, restaurants and easy 5min walking distance from the train station. If you have problems with accessing WiFi in your room, stand on the inside stair case and you will have access there. Could not ask for a better location. Very friendly staff too.
Hard pillows, basic everything, most annoying tapping and other sounds coming from a machinery room or something throughout the night. Did not notice it during the day as we were always out, but noise didn't allow us to sleep at night.
The ceiling in the room was amazing
The hotel stated it had 53 rooms we were in room 55! Our room looked nothing like any of the pictures advertised! The door to the room looked like a cupboard! The air conditioning unit there was a new box controller and no air vent! The satellite tv was the oldest portable tv I'd ever seen. I thought the chandelier was going to fall on our head the whole night Because of all the above I didn't bother with breakfast, couldn't wait to leave the hotel!
Location is ok
Rooms look nothing like pictured- very small and dingy even mold in the bathroom. Asked for a different room but didn't get one. No internet as promised. Put do not disturb on my door but maid came in anyway. Breakfast was substandard with poor quality, questionable freshness and lack of selection. Overall a bad experience
We really enjoyed our stay at hotel Martelli! We stayed there for 4 night on our honeymoon trip. We sent the hotel an email to inform them that we are travelling for our honeymoon and they have us an upgrade to a fantastic suite and champagne with a fruit basket on arrival! We were very pleased with this gesture! The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating too!
The only thing that I would say needs attention is the breakfast as it's not anything special and we expected a better quality of food served.
The location and breakfast were good . The decor & chandeliers are interesting as it's very historical / Florentine, but wall paper falling off in parts
My friends who stays at cheaper hotel had free wifi & Internet connection whenever hey were at the hotel whereas I had no Internet connection unless paying E16 for 24 hrs -?I only wanted about an hour a day ! The baggage store room is really not that secure
Location is so good. Duomo is very close to hotel . My room was clean . Staffs are good .
furnitures are old .
The location was great! Everything was within short walking distance.
No Wifi. The rooms were dark and dated, and some of the staff (not all) at the welcome desk were rude.
All mentioned below were to an excellent standard - room size - location - housekeeping - hotel & room decor - staff - and we got a free upgrade (to the best room!!) for staying there 3 nights The hotel itself was an ex-palace with a rich history and beautiful old decor.
- Breakfast had limited options - No free WiFi (wifi options very expensive)
- Good location: 2 mins walk to the main sightseeings - Old castle design of the hotel inside
- A room we stayed in was awful: it was made of a balcony with almost no ceilling in the bathroom, horrible interior - Air conditioning didn't work at all - Felt like the room will break down any time
Close to railway station and centre
no internet - wifi. (wifi costs 16.36 euros a day)
We pre booked in February. ...had to wait to get our rooms til 2nd. While people before us checked in right away. Travellers with 2 other couples....bar fridges in all three rooms were not working but were well stocked. Bathroom...tub was odd had to climb into tub...If someone had issues with their limbs they would not be able to use the shower.
location large room
dreadful breakfast, poor quality meats and cheese, moody staff at breakfast tiny ensuite.
Hotel is good near shopping area.
There were two episodes on my arrival as below:- 1. On my arrival I was told by reception get............your passport. I kept my passport and my return flight ticket in a suitcase locked so I don't lose it(important documents) - while I was travelling in Italy and staying in different hotels. Reception did not allow me to settle in a room - this was order!!! even though I made reservation for my room. I stayed in a quite few hotel in Italy but the reception was brilliant they always requested when I settled in my room please bring your passport and of course not straight away. 2. I paid for this hotel by my card five months before my arrival. I had confirmation by email giving me details of my room reservation and this was guaranteed. I was shocked and surprised - reception told me my "payment was not processed -show me your card" I did not have card with me. I was told to pay by cash which I did pay cash. I paid twice in cash & by card and of course this was my shopping money to buy handbags & shoes made in Italy. Hotel Martelli should have used their common sense to check my payment by card before my arrival which was 5 months ago and they also had my passport photo copy to match my face & name and of course. How many customers with my name would have made the reservation on same day for the same room??? How many customers they had with first and second names??????. This was very stressful for me on my arrival & departure I had with Hotel Martelli. I had also awaited on my departure for a invoice which I had paid in cash for a refund. My return flight was early in the morning, I still had few things to pack up last minute and have a breakfast and top of my head I had tension and pressure to collect my invoice from reception for a refund. I would like to warn customer Hotel Martelli don't waste time on your arrival "get...........your passport ready" even before settle in your room!!!
I liked everything about the hotel, perfect location, good, ready to help staff, clean and comfortable rooms,
During my stay I didn't like the attitude of the staff at the kitchen during the breakfast. the lady was always upset, doing her job as a favour to the guests, not smiling, not polite, always complaining of having to clean the tables.
Will be great if you can adjust your convention with the parking to reduce the price.
Location was perfect that's why I have chosen it initially. breakfast was okay with a good variety
Air condition was very weak and could not make the room cold especially it was hot in August , bathroom was smelling like a sewage especially at night and the wash basin was draining very slowly , last thing the room's telephone was broken ( non of the callers could hear me! I wanted to change the room after 30 minutes of my arrival but since it was already like 1:30 a.m and we were very tired I postponed to the next day then we got busy in our tours and in the evening when I contacted the Front Desk about these issues the receptionist said that he has no triple room for me , actually it was not a big deal for me as I was departing next morning. No one to handle our luggages , you have to take them up and down and store it yourself if you want to keep it on hold for few hours. parking is expensive € 24 per night!
Very big room with a terrace with a view to Duomo.
Wi fi not great and also not free.
To have to pay 16€ for 24h of wifi. I think with the money you pay for a normal service, the minimum is to include a free wifi
The people at the front desk were very nice and very accomodating , more then the hotel itself.
I didn't like that I had to several , then more stairs, then take the elevator to get to my room. Sometimes I had to route my way back to the room. Then there was no wifi service and they wanted you to pay for it. I fine that the quality of food was not as good as nearby hotels.
Me and my partner travelled here and stayed for 3 nights and found it fantastic. We got off the bus from Pisa airport and using our map app we found it was only a 5 minute walk from Santa Maria train station. It was easy enough to communicate to the staff throughout our stay and even got given brochures on recommended tours. We found the location to be perfect as we were only a two minute walk to the Duomo and 15 minutes from the Ponte Vecchio (which gives you a good estimation for it's location). Breakfast included in the booking is recommended as it was buffet style and the meats were delicious as well as the pastry. Along with a choice of espresso, orange juice or pineapple juice. Hotel room was clean and comfortable and was not noisy during the night. Would definitely stay at this hotel again and will be recommending it to friends and family!
