Location is good, in the center of the city. Very close to major attractions, monuments, museums. A lot of good reastaurants, shops around. Sometimes its unbearable because of the bells of churchs around. Moreover, you will always hear sound of water somewhere because of thin walls. Breakfast is consist of jam, butter and bread along with coffe or tea ; no cheese, ham etc.

The location for Hotel Medici was great- with it located just 2 blocks from the center of the city, the Duomo. They served breakfast in the morning but we never went. We paid for a double and ended up with an apartment that had 2 bedrooms w/ 4 beds (1 queen and 3 twins) which was nice, but not necessary for the 2 of us staying there. Overall I'd definitely recommend it- it was definitely worth the price. When we arrived at the hotel I walked in to find out that our room was not actually in the hotel, but a few blocks away. The front desk man (who is not that friendly) gave us a map with directions of how to get there. It was my first stop on my vacation and I was not used to reading a map yet so I was a little confused, but once we got their the first time it was very easy to get back. The towels are almost like sheets they are so thin. The hotel lobby has wi-fi but our apartment did not.

location and views. had a room on the 6th floor and looked out onto the palazzo vecchio and listened to bells chime. out on the (very narrow but pretty) outdoor terrace on the 6th floor right outside our door we looked straight out at the duomo, bell tower and baptistry, very charming and lovely view Hotel Medici was very old and our room had a door from the outside terrace so was very cold. it was a chilly week in florence (probably in the 40's at night and 50's daytime) with litttle sun and lots of rain, and the hotel had no heat so we were very very cold in our room. they said the heat had been turned off for april. our room had a deep disgusting odor that to me smelled like cat but to my husband just very old and musty, extremely unpleasant. also our room was crawling with ants, the hotelier got on it right away but when we returned all of the dead ants had not been cleaned up. the room was teeny teeny tiny. we had a lot to compare to as we had stayed in rooms in rome, another in florence (hotel bodoni, lovely but booked this week), cinque terre , sorrento, nice and barcleona and pisa, and this was by far the only one we had negative experience with. breakfast was stale bread and butter and jelly.

Location and possibility to see the city view from the hotel roof. We booked hotel rooms but when we came 1 hour earlier - they offered the apartment in nearest location. It was cold, we spend some time to find how to swich on the hitting system and could not to ask the reception help as it was located 3 blocks from the appartment. And also we had 1 toilett room for 4 people.

roof-top terrace; very central; nice view from window; large room; while we've got a few little gripes, it was an excellent price for the location and we spent some really nice afternoons sitting on the terrace overlooking the Duomo. Would definitely stay here again if going back to Florence getting bumped to another hotel for the first night, so they could house a larger, more profitable group; credit card facilities didn't work when we tried to check out, so had to run around looking for a bank machine (bring cash for your room fee just in case!); breakfast was a little meagre but fine for the price we were paying to stay here

The location is good, right next to the Duomo. Our room had a view of the Duomo out of two large french doors. Fantastic. The room was large with high ceiling. The bathroom was nice with a bidet and shower, although the shower did not have a soap dish. There was a desk and big closet, good for two people. The staff were all nice and spoke good English. Great value. We have been to Florence many times at several other hotels and will now stay here next time we return. Sparse breakfast with weak coffee. No internet.

The hotel was central - easy walking to any of the major tourist attractions and restaurants. Perfect Location. You can hear people in the street but thats a price to pay when you are in such a prime location.

Location. Price. Car park service is crap. Expensive, and they take your car away (and take there time picking it up and dropping it off) so you go without access to your car until you leave.

Location is perfect! Terassa on the 6 floor is great! Bathroom is small and a little bit uncomfortable. The room should be perfect for a spring/summer. In december it`s quite cold, the window didn`t close properly.

Booked into the hotel only to be told I was in a apartment six streets away, so plodded back thro the streets to find a shared residential block, the room was ok, but the boiler in in the main bedroom, firing up every few mins, which I turned off in the end as kept me awake, with obvious cold effects when I woke up, the bathroom is a triangle shape and when sat on the toilet end up burning knees on radiator. Next morning have to go back six streets to have my breakfast and to check out, the breakfast if I can call it that was two stale bread tools, frozen butter and a jam/marmalade chucked onto table by a very grumpy member of staff. I work with traveling public nd I no how they wear you down, but this as by far the worse customer service I've had in a long time. I realise I paid a good price for the accommodation but will not want to go back to this hotel again. And I've stayed some rare locations before .

The hotel offers a splendid view from the terrace at the top floor. It is in a very central position and the price was reasonably good. The stairs were not really clean.

The rooftop balcony with the view of the Duomo was the main reason I booked this hotel--and it was a lovely view. However, it is adjacent to rooms on the 6th floor and I felt distinctly unwelcome on the room. So That wasn't so good. The location was very central in Florence and I did like that. The balcony was advertised as though it was for everyone--and maybe it was. However, it felt like I was walking on the balconies of the people renting the rooms on the 6th floor. I only went there once and left rather quickly because of this. Also the room was not that clean. The baths were not very good.

Friendly, helpful staff for the most part. . Close to major places of interest. Not having a toilet in my room was a major headache, especially since I got a nasty case of foodpoisoning and had to spend the night trotting back and forth from my room down the hall to the one toilet on the floor. Also they advertised that they served breakfast, but all there was to eat was bread which I cannot eat because of gluten intolerence. When I asked if they could please boil me two eggs since I can't eat the bread. Their attitude was that if I couldnt eat their free breakfast, tough. They felt no obligation to do more.

Location. Ideally situated. Close to all the tourist attractions in the city. Within walking distance of all the main attractions and also to the station. Room spacious and bathroom very spacious with excellent shower. On arrival we learned that we were booked into the annex which was some distance from the hotel and we struggled with our luggage. Also breakfast was poor in comparrison with the other accomodation we stayed in Italy in this price range.

Excellent location. The view from the balcony was amazing looking over the main piazza del duomo with an amazing view of the duomo. Bit hard to find the entrance. Although there was a sign pointing towards the hotel, there was no actual sign over the main door itself to indicate that was the entrance to the hotel.

“The staff welcomed us and were always friendly, helpful and accommodating. The location was wonderful, with easy access to what we were wanting to see and do. The Internet lounge was comfortable, but the highlight was the tower. The view of the city from the tower was spectacular, and bar in the evening was a wonderful place to have a glass of wine and enjoy the gorgeous sunsets. Christina was warm and friendly. We want to come back!” Dedra, Beavercreek |

“I really liked this hotel. It is in an ideal location we could see the roof of the Duomo from the hotel. The hotel is in an old Palazzo and the whole place does have a sense of elegance. I loved the quirkiness of it.” Joanna, Hertford |
