Hotel Medici  

Centrally located , close to museums - this was the only reason we booked this hotel.

When we arrived they did not have room for us - room was trashed by the previous guests/students. They sent us to the cheaper hotel on the outskirts of the town while charging full price as if we stayed at Hotel Medici . Entrance to the hotel looked neglected and cheap. Talking with the staff was unpleasant. While we were waiting for taxi other people who checked out looked disappointed with the stay and had loud conversations with angry looking staff .

Room had balcony access.

Poor service at breakfast and food left a lot to be desired - basically bread and jam!!

Hotel staff in charge she provided me with map and direction to where I wanted to go.They let me stay for few more hours after the checkout timing as my train for a bit later.

Break fast for not at all nice, internet was only available on first floor. Room heater didn't work well , when I asked hotel staff I was told that , that's the best the heater works. I was freezing the whole night, they gave me a extra blanket next day.

I did not need a fresh towel every day. Do they have any single beds? Seems a waste washing all that bedding. I don't need a double bed

The location of the hotel. It is so close to the train station and Pointe Vecchio.

The shower room has no long shower head. The floor gets wet every time it gets used. Lack of towels and shower gel.

We stayed in the 'apartment' a few streets away from the hotel: very spacious, private, near the cathedral, shops and restaurants. Would recommend if you are on a budget like us.

Big room.

No wifi in room. In lobby the wifi sucks. The big living room has no facilities except sofa. The kitchen has nothing at all like it's a decoration.

The terrace has a really nice view of the Dome, and also of the city center itself.

The hotel is in an excellent location close to the major places of interest. It was a 10 minute walk from the railway station and easy to find. The staff were friendly and helpful and there are wonderful views of Florence from the roof terrace.

This is a budget hotel and basically you get what you pay for. The rooms were simple with no TV, no telephone and wifi in the breakfast room only. When showering one had to wrestle with the shower curtain. Breakfast was very simple - bread and jam, machine coffee and juice. It was a bit cold in the room as we were there in December so we had to raid the cupboard for extra blankets.

No sign to tell where is the hotel. I booked this hotel and saw the room photo in the website, however when i check in i did not stay at this hotel. They managed me to stay at the apartment. I think it is tricky of this hotel.

Didnt end up staying at the motel. Breakfast was terrible.

The room is clean enough but the bath room was very tiny and shower curtain didn't work at all, you can't take shower without flooding the floor. Wifi works only on the 1st floor. Breakfast was the poorest I have ever had... only two pieces of bread. But Bar is next door, and the famous and historic Bar Gilli is only 1 minutes away. You will like to have breakfast there rather than having in the hotel.

Location is fantastic.Staff was very friendly.The room was nicely made, in the winter it was very cheap and comparing with other places for the same price - this was the best.

The shower could be a little more comfortable.

I like the location very close to the Duomo. Breakfast was simple but fresh and good. Very nice view of the terrace.

The room was cold, there only was a small heating for such a room.

Nice place for an overnight stay. The hotel is situated in the heart of the city. There is a splendid view to Duomo from the terrace of the hotel. I am satisfied with the price and location.

They charge you the first night, to check if you have enough money but you can't use that money until the bank returned it to you, so you can't paying that night, or receive youre money back in at least 3 weeks. That not right!

The Inconvenience of having to go to another hotel the first night. We were sent to another hotel nearby for the first night, which was annoying since we were only there for two nights. Felt like our short holiday was hassled by it, when we just wanted to relax.
