Hotel Mercure Milano Centro  

Room " grand" was like a personal flat- very good for family, a lot of space and comfort.

The lift was only by 3 flor- we lived on 4-D... Nobody helped with very heavy luggage, and we need to carry it one flor by foot! Hotel is rather old...

We happened to get a special price by booking a couple weeks in advance, for the design fair weekend when prices were out of control. That was lucky. We had a nice view out the front and 2 large beds (they were single beds but could be easily shared) and the bathroom was huge as well. The room was quiet too.

A pool, jacuzzi, and sauna would have been nice! ;)

Proximity to location

Staff recommended a very bad restaurant - Cala Luna. Room was not very clean and a little small.

The rooms were beautifully presented with a soft, pleasing decor. Although located on the corner of a major thoroughfare traffic noise was not a problem. Breakfast was simple, but with a reasonable range of hot and cold foods.

Staff attitude ranged from pleasant to curtly efficient.

From our arrival to the time we left several days later, Allessandro at the front desk was the ideal example of a gracious host. Multi-lingual and helpful with all our questions. The hotel was perfectly located with a subway stop across the street and just about a short mile walk down Corso Venezia past many wonderful shops and boutiques straight to the Duomo. The hotel itself was first class; immaculately clean with larger rooms then we are used to in Italy. The breakfast was very good with a variety of cereals, sandwiches, brioches, yogurts and fruits located on the first floor just off the lobby and not in the basement. We will definately stay here again on our next trip to Milano and would recommend it without question to all.

To tell the truth my wife and I or any of our travelling companions had nothing to complain about during our visit to this hotel.

Excellent staff, good level of comfort and good value for money. I would be happy to stay again.

Our stay at this hotel was pleasant enought due to a short walk to Piazza Duomo having a good choice of very attractive shops and lovely museums and relaxing gardens. The hotel is quite symphatic and comfortable.

everything was good at this hotel, big rooms, free internet and wifi, great shower and a good location we have nothing bad to say about this hotel

The air conditioning was great, as was the location next to the metro

The breakfast was terrible! Bad orange juice, cold and distastful cappuchino, poor variety and quality of other items. Only ate their once.

Location is good

Wifi is too slow & convienent for business traveller !! It can't be sloved during my stay in Milan, though I ald complained it to the hotel.

My friends and I were very impressed with the hotel from the moment of check in. Alessandro at the front desk was most welcoming, very efficient and very knowledgeable of places to eat in the neighbourhood. The decor is gorgeous, rooms are clean and quiet even though the hotel is located in a busy area and the metro stop for all the main sites of Milano is right outside the hotel. We found some great restaurants in the area. It was a perfect location for our visit.

Friendly and efficient welcome, willing to give advice, efficient booking of taxi on time at 6.00 am, good sound-proofing against street noise.
