The people on the front counter were helpful. The air conditioner in the room got increasingly louder throughout the night. The window was not able to be opened due to the loud noises coming from outside. |

Hotel Mercurio was clean and comfortable. It had great air conditioning, and the front desk staff was helpful. After we found the hotel (everything in Venice seems to be difficult to find, except the gondolas of course) we realized that it is very close to St. Mark's square. There was no elevator, but we only had to go up one flight. The included breakfast was very basic but sufficient. |

Loved the location and the canal view room with gondolas passing under the window. Monica was wonderfully helpful and a pleasure to talk to. Breakfasts were good and a great start to busy days of sightseeing. The location quite close to Piazza San Marco was great, and we found the hotel quite easy to get to. |

The staff was helpful and the location near the San Marcos piazza was very handy. The breakfast even had fresh fruit - a rarity in our experience in Italy. It is a very good 2 star hotel. The only negative was getting our suitcases up 2 floors. Staff helped on arrival. |

The staff was very helpful. The room clean and pleasant. there was no elevator, and the stairs were VERY difficult for me. It should be very clear in the internet info that there are stairs that must be climbed, and there is no elevator. |

Very friendly staff, clean rooms with ample bathroom, comfortable bed, goof breakfast with great cappuccinos for breakfast. Also had a great location, less than 5 block from St. Mark's Square. Maybe only the expensive wireless internet, 5 euro per hour is pretty steep, could've been cheaper or even free, as other similar hotels. |

The staff and the location of the hotel We had an infiltration on the ceiling because of the toilet on the room upstairs. It was not enough to damage anything of ours, but we woke up at 7:30 AM with the noise of the water dropping. |

Lovely atmosphere, very friendly staff and extremely helpful. Centrally located and clean. A hotel with a 'heart'. Some of the bathrooms needed updating. Stairs could be a problem for some. |

The hotel was an excellent value for the money. It had the best bathroom of all that we stayed in in Italy and the room was lovely even though there were many steps to climb to get to it!! The hotel is close to all the major attractions in Venice and I will stay here again on my next visit. The staff was very helpful hauling four suitcases for my daughter and me up many steps. |

The hotel receptionists could not have been more friendly or helpful and the location of the hotel near St Mark's Square other sites and facilities was really good. Like many other hotels in Italy the bedroom lacked tea and coffee making facilities which we would have liked. |

Having never been to Venice I would say the hotel was well located and the room with a balcony was very good. My expectations were not high based on info others told me about Venice hotels and all the water. Tough to maintain. Construction going on at the hotel during our stay but this did not really affect us other then the wheel barrel going up on a hoist outside our window. Sort of funny at the time |

The receptionist was extremely helpful, the room was excellent with a very nice bathroom, a comfortable bed, and the breakfast was very good. This hotel is right in the heart of Venice, close to San Marco and La Fenice, with many shops and cafes close by. |

The room was very clean and surprisingly comfortable, considering it's size. The position is excelent, near the center but on small and quite street. A bit hard to find for the first couple of times. |
