Great location, good bus service from the piazza, nice decorated room, comfortable bed and a good buffet breakfast. I booked a single room "with view". At the website the room had a photo with a window, which was looking the little piazza. And the description of the room didn't deny it. But when I arrived they give me a room one floor below the reception, next to a service room. The room was a joke. It was so tiny and dark. You can not open the window because the only "view" was the dirty rear wall, which has maybe just a few meter distance. It was like a basement. And you also can not use the elevator. The lady at the reception said that the other single room with window was full till next day. But it was impossible to stay there, so I decide to pay plus 34 euro per night and take a double room. I think the the website should add more realistic pictures and descriptions, and the hotel should not give this room to their guests, not with that price at least. And I recommend the single travelers to avoid themselves from that clostrofobic room.

Staff was excellent. I was with 2 other women who had booked hotel for our post Costa Concordia cruise stay. We never took the cruise because the ship sank. BW Metropoli was kind enough to flip our reservation to the week before, as we arrived from the states in Genoa on 1/14/2012 to find out that we had no cruise. Thank you BW Metropli for doing this. Your female receptionist that night 1/14/2012 was extremely helpful and accommodating.

Breakfast was fantastic, the hotel staff was friendly and helpful for city and dining suggestions. I was traveling as a young woman by myself and I felt safe and that they recognized me every time was entering and exiting the hotel. The location was the best choice I could have made, it was in the city center and 2 minutes to the metro, perfect, especially traveling by myself. I am extremely happy with the room, even for a single it was very comfortable and clean with a big bathroom and tv. I will be recommending it to anyone staying in Genoa.

The breakfast setting was upmarket. The hotel staff were very professional and friendly. The kids enjoyed the bunkbed (the couch expands into a double bunkbed). The Piazza de Ferrari, the main square, is about 100m away. There is no parking - you even have to park illegally to offload your luggage. The nearest parking garage is very difficult to get to, even with a gps, although by foot it is probably no more than 300m. They need a valet service for guests arriving by car : I would happily have paid for it.

Friendly staff. Excellent buffet breakfast. Clean room.Fantastic location for the historical centre, shops and restaurants. Room was very small and bathroom very cramped. You had to be a contortionist to get into the shower. Fine for a couple of nights but hotel lacks facilities and ambience for a longer stay.

Comfortable stay in a central location. Good breakfast options and very helpful staff. When I requested more tea bags and milk they were very accommodating. Comfortable beds and good sized bathroom. Overall no real complaints other than the cost of our stay was debited immediately at the time of booking and although I booked twin beds, these were very close to each other in the room. It is not a cheap hotel.

The rooms facing the road are very noisy and the availability of parking is very limited. It would have been nice for someone to have helped us with our luggage as there were quite a few stairs to climb to get to reception.

Very friendly welcome when we arrived. Excellent location, close to many attractions and easy to walk to port area. Although our room faced the road we found it quiet. Very good breakfast buffet.
