Hotel Minerva  

From the minute we arrived, staff were amazingly gracious and helpful: porter, main desk managers, maitre de, and housekeeping. All were ready and eager to assist us with anything we needed: from parking the car to making reservations, giving directions, and travel advice. The room was immaculate and beautifully appointed. We loved the tile floors and our balcony. One recommendation when booking- splurge and get a room with balcony. The area is large enough for a cafe table and 2 lounge chairs and the view is spectacular. It is a 10 minute walk from Sorrento, which we came to appreciate because we were not subjected to all the traffic and noisey crowds that hotels in the town deal with. If I we ever find ourselves back on the Amalfi, the Minerva will be our first choice.

We had cool and rainy weather- it would have been nice if the beautiful spa pool was heated.

The hotel was well appointed with painted ceramic floors, comfortable reading/meeting areas and a beautiful outdoor breakfast patio overlooking the sea with Naples and Mount Vesuvius in the background. Our had a room with a private balcony with same amazing views. The staff was helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend this hotel and the beautiful city of Sorrento to family and friends.

Interesting decor, books scattered about with lots of nooks to hide in to read. Very friendly staff from reception through to the maids. Fantastic views from everywhere. Comfortable beds. Plenty of hot water.

On a busy road quite alot of noise. Quite far enough to walk into sorrento. Could have done with a mirror other than in bathroom. Shame we couldnt swim in the evenings.

I loved the hotel and the walk to the city center. Great food loved my room.

Had a hard time to keep the water inside the bath tub area... Always seemed to get on the floor no matter what I did.

zeer vriendelijk personeel, uitstekende service, goede ontbijt voorzieningen. zeer ruime keuze.

Barkeeper Antonio ist sehr empfehlenswert: freundlich, sehr gute Engl.kenntn., versteht dt., unterhaltsam-unaufdringlich, sehr gute Tipps für Gastronomie und Ausflugs-/ Wandertouren. Service beim Fruehstueck&Abendessen sehr frdl. und aufmerksam. Auswahl b.Frühstuck ok, d.h.gut für ital. Verhältnisse, leider kein frisches Obst und Gemüse außer am Sonntag, dafür reichhaltige Brotauswahl und viele Dolci. Grandios die Sicht Richtung Vesuv/Neapel, gute Anbindung an Stadt, dennoch in den oberen Etagen sehr ruhig. Kleiner, feiner, moderner Fitnessraum. Das ganze Team versteht und spricht gut engl., teilweise auch dt., unkomplizierte und schnelle Abwicklung. Rundum also empfehlenswert. Publikum bunt gemischt:viele Engländer, wenig Italiener, alle Altersklassen, sehr angenehme, ruhige und dennoch auch gesellige Gäste. Familien mit älteren Kindern, Paare.

Presterei più attenzione alla manutenzione delle camere e dei ...bagni

La gentilezza, la cura della clientela. Ci si sente a casa con gente mai vista prima!e soprattutto la vista spettacolare che si gode sia dalle camere che dalla zona pranzo!

Peut être un peu trop éloigné du centre ville, du port et de la Marina Grande.

The hotel had a beautiful view of the water and it was a short walk to entertainment and shopping. For the money this hotel was an exceptional choice. Sorrento is a lovely little town with a great atmosphere. We will definitely return to Sorrento and the Hotel Minerva.
