The location and the convenience to the center of town especially since the escalator was just across the street. The breakfast assortment could do with a little more imagination. Boiled or scrambled eggs would have been a nice option. However the coffee was good. The front desk staff was very kind and helpful with tour information. |

It is convenient for sightseeing The outside terrace was poorly attended. Tables were not cleared and the garden was unkempt |

The hotel is very well located, close to the city walls (you can take escalators that are few meters from the hotel). Parking was difficult but the hotel staff solved once we left the keys with them. The bed makes lots of noises when you move. At least in our room. If you are a "light sleeper", this maybe an issue. |

Good value for the money. Rooms were nice and clean and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Location! Not as close to train station as we were lead to believe. |

The front desk staff were nice, English was a problem. Hotel clean, and the elevators to get into the city were close by. Good enough for a day or two. The breakfast was very poor, and the breakfast staff were quite rude. Table were not reset and you had to make do with what was there. The other tables were already being set for lunch, at 9am. Breakfast served between 8 and 10am. |

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel is in a great location, only 3 minutes walk from the escalator that takes you to the city centre which is about 10 minutes walk from the hotel.Good clean bathroom facilities. Only had breakfast there which was good but the restaurant seemed popular as it was always busy. Could do with a bit of redecorating as it appears a bit tired and old fashioned. The Wi-Fi is a bit hit and miss, only works in the bar area, not in the rooms. |

A family run business atmosphere where the people who work there have a genuine interest in you enjoying your stay with them Wifi access is not available in suites, only in the downstairs lounge area |

the proximity to the sites The hotel needed serious renovation, the wall paper in the room was just about clinging on to the wall, bed needed replacing, it needed modernising about about 20 years ago, there was a strong smell or rotting veg in our room (55) we did get 20euros off our room rate for the night (thank god it was just one night) even the staff had to admit that it needed a face lift, and said that they dont normally get problems with that room, suggesting that other rooms have problems also. -Not one to stay in - the worst hotel I have ever stayed at and I have been in a few. |

I wouldn't describe the hotel as modern, it was however very central, clean and the hotel staff were very helpfull, we enjoyed our stay, we returned each day a well made up room, clean towels and an air conditioned room, we asked for helop with train tmies and they obliged without hesitation. |

It was a great value for the money - its older than one might expect of a hotel called " moderno" - but the room for 4 perfectly accomodated our family. The restaurant at the hotel is excellent. One of our best meals in Italy - bottles of wine were more affordable here than anywhere else on our trip. |

We did not enjoy our stay at all. Breakfast was really bad. There was nothing at that buffet table to choose from. The bread was bad, the cereals were bad. I´ve been in hotels all over Europe and I had never seen such thing. Besides the waiters around were unkind. |

Descent hotel close to the center of Siena (near the escalator) and very easy to reach by car. Nice staff in the reception. No internet. No safetybox in the room. The breakfast was ok, but not exceptional, lots of sweets, but no fruits or vegetables nor musli. |

As one who suffers from bad legs, the situation at the bottom of the incredible escalators rising up through the hillside to Siena town was a super bonus. |

The hotel was in easy walking distance to Siena's center. Our room was OVERRUN with ants, and when we tried to tell the hotel clerk, he seemed amused but not concerned. We will not stay here again. |

close proximity to visit Siena or tour the country the hotel seems to market itself to schools ... unfortunately the noise should be controlled, a hotel is there for people to rest and sleep |
