Offering grounds with swimming pool, friendly service and free parking, La Colonna has a quiet location in Siena, a short bus ride or 20-minute walk from the historic center.

Hotel Italia is a charming 20-minute walk from Siena's Piazza del Campo. In summer, enjoy free access to a nearby swimming pool and tennis court.

Set in a 13th-century building, Hotel Alma Domus offers rooms in the historic centre of Siena, a 2-minute walk from Basilica Cateriniana San Domenico Church.
Score from 468 reviews Very good
We are a group of students so the hotel was fairly affordable for us and we enjoyed staying there. We stayed in room 30 and it was absolutely huge with a load of space and a nice ensuite. The beds were large and okay to sleep on - no complaints. The breakfast included was reasonable; it was mostly cakes and sandwiches. The location is FANTASTIC and right across from a set of escalators that take you to the main area of Siena. Staff were helpful and polite as well.
The room did get a little stuffy - unfortunately opening the window for air meant we got all the noise from the main street which went quite late into the night. The walls were a little thin from our room so we could hear a lot of loud talking at night and in the morning - was bearable from our room though since we were at the end of a long hallway on the second level. The website claims that the Wi-Fi "works in all areas" but it did not work in our room and have read a few other reviews claiming the same thing - not a big deal since we weren't there to sit on the internet anyway. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant on our first night and it wasn't very good - food was not cooked all the way through, suggest eating elsewhere.
Away from any noise
Staff didn't seem very interested to help. First morning at breakfast we were completely ignored. Then we realised they were intent on organising the breakfast room for a wedding so guests were a bit of a nuisance! Toaster was ridiculously slow. On our last morning the receptionist was very nice and helpful (the wedding was finished!).
The location: very easy to get to Sienna downtown by foot
The sleeping/resting: very noisy and very poor bed
Location, breakfast, nice courtyard, freindly staff, great valet parking
Tiny towels. Small rooms, Poor lighting.
The staff were very pleasant and very helpful
Needed redecorating and bringing up to date. Very little parking on opposite side of road.
Proximity to center. Windows not very sound tight, but room was away from the street. All in all clean and quiet. Nice stuff.
Location - very close to the escalators to the city. Parking and ataff arw good.
Old furniture, no wifi reception in room even after we complained.
Friendly, helpful staff Rooms well cleaned daily No noise Just a short escalator up to the centre of Siena - 5/10 minutes walk
They didn't have an iron!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic to be so close to the old town.
Could not pick up WiFi in my room.
Good position for escalator to City Handy parking. reasonable breakfast.
No Wi-Fi in my room but available outside it and in the lobby. Shower was full width of bathroom, about 1.5m but only about 0.45m front to back so too small. I couldn't find an English TV channel.
The staff, the location and the atmosphere are excellent. I have been before and will come again!! The escalator which takes you directly into Siena is very conveniently located across the road. The view of the Tuscan landscape from our window was breathtaking and the gardens is a great asset to enjoy in good weather.
Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful, hotel ideally situated. Great free parking available
Very friendly staff who spoke a bit of English The breakfast was very good Having a car park near the hotel
I can't think of anything to say here
- Excellent location if you have a car - free parking
- walls were paper thin - twin beds were two different sizes - rooms were dark - wi-fi was very slow
Hotel dirty, dark, directly on main road. Breakfast worst quality ever. Time to pull the hotel down!
Moira is very nice and helpfull woman with her smile
The Hotel is very old and is needed renovation
It was very close, and we could live the car for some time after leaving the hotel
Non English speaking staff and fairly friendly, did not feel welcomed by front desk staff.
A bell boy named Gabriel was the only friendly person in the hotel.
Wifi didn't work in our second suite, it did in our first room.
Wifi good. Location good.
Tiny room and not very clean. I haven't stayed in 3 star hotel before with plastic cups for orange juice. Very disappointing.
We spent one night at the Hotel Moderno - not very modern at all but character- full, easy to find, clean and comfortable with friendly helpful staff and awesome food!! The old centre of Sienna was reachable in just a few minutes on foot without having to negotiate thin and winding streets. The escalator to the top is just across the road and free! Wifi was good inside the hotel, but not so strong out in the garden.
No pool, but this was not a deal breaker for us. The walls are thin and doors, windows etc old and creaky so would recommend earplugs, or request an end of corridor room next time
Nice quality room at reasonable price Easy to get to old town
WiFi unreliable in room, OK in bar
Terrific location across the street from the escalators up to old Siena. A misnamed hotel as it is nothing fancy but we found it clean and comfortable and an ample breakfast was provided. Rotating staff on the desk was of variable helpfulness but all spoke some English.
Occasionally noisy at night with a major road nearby even though our room overlooked the garden. However, an air conditioner is provided, so can close the window and still stay cool. Parking lot was jammed and a challenge to navigate at times.
Nice location, near de electric stairs that take to city center. Acceptable breakfast. Staff was very nice and helpfull when needed.
City tax is exagerated. Otherwise nothing in particular was wrong. The hotel could benefit with a more modern look and attencion to details
Safe garage parking for our classic car at only 5 Euro per night. Staff very helpfull.
No air con in room. Bed and pillows hard. Shower curtain got in way during showering.
