The hotel location is close to the train station and that is not a very good part of the city to be in. The staff are not very helpful and the first room we got was leaking water from the ceiling, the whole carpet was wet and smelled. The lady at the reception was not very happy that we asked for a new room. All in all I would not recommend this hotel at all and there was nothing that I liked. |

Even though the outside of the building looks old and the entrance of the hotel is not easy to be recognized, hotel room is great, clean, modern. I am impressed to find toiletry (e.g. toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gel, shampoo) which normally is not available in hotel in Europe. Staffs are nice and helpful. Breakfast is included and reasonably good with such a hotel room price. Not much I can complain. The entrance is not v easy to find because it carries two hotel rooms. |

Bed was very comfortable. Staff was kind and tried to help us out. Bathtub was big enough. Internet connection was excellent. You had to change elevators to reach 1st floor of new quarter. Reception area was quite small and shabby. |

It has the basics for a night. It's central, near rent-a-cars and Milano Centrale We could heard the noise from the street. The hotel made the debt of credit card about one month before and not in the day we stayed. |

Staff was very helpful and friendly. I was leaving before morning breakfast started, so they prepared a take-away back that awaited me in my room. In addition, I was upgraded to a 'superior' room so that I could use the free Internet service in my room. |

Thank you for my two nights at your hotel. I stayed on 1 and 25 June 2009 and could not have been more pleased. I flew to Milan from Paris, to catch a train from Milano Centrale on 2 June 2009. I stayed on 25 June to transfer to the airport on 26 June to return to Australia. The location was ideal - a short walk from the station.Location coupled with the excellent metro day ticket meant that in my short time with you I saw quite a bit of Milan, including Cena Colovinciano and Aida at La Scala. Your staff were very kind, attentive and obliging. I slept very well. Your breakfast was very generous and the lady who made the morning coffee had a lovely smile and made great coffee, too! In short, if I ever come to Milan again, which I hope to do, I would choose to stay with you! Thank you. Mary Evans. ( I am not sure what the reviews say, so I have answered the last question "Yes" - I assume the reviews are glowing!) |

This hotel is a very short walk from Stazione Centrale, and I chose it both for that convenience and for the economical rate. The original really (and I mean really) economical section has now been joined by a recently opened new section ("superior" as a junior member of the staff desribed it to me), connected through the breakfast room. Although there is only one computer available, its use is free to guests of the hotel! My room, in the economical section, was very small and spare (and the television had no English-language channel available), but I must record here the wonderful help the check-in staff gave me on my arrival. I had been robbed of my wallet, that is, all my credit and bank cards, at my last railway station in France before my arrival in Milan, and the staff at the Hotel Monopole looked up credit card numbers for me, showed me how to use the telephone, and gave me advice about reporting the robbery to the railway police. I was so grateful: they turned what I thought was going to be a disaster into a manageable inconvenience. (Oh, there is also an economical supermarket in the basement of the railway station.) Well, I missed not being able to keep up with television news in English, but this is a tiny loss compared to the excellent location (not only almost next to the main railway station, but also to a station on the Metropolitana, a streetcar (tram) and bus centre even closer, and a streetcar line running right by) and to the economical rate. |

the staff were very helpful, it was clean and tidy, light and airy in the breakfast room. free internet was good. my luggage was kindly kept for the whole day of my check-out even though I only stayed 1 night. the room was very basic and if the hotel was not busy I could have been upgraded but it was still acceptable, it was a little noisy at the front of the hotel. |
