Score from 1244 reviews Very good
At first I was concerned with its location. But it was extremely close to train and facilities inside were very nice.
Directions for television and more channel options. No coffee in room. Directions for shower. I had a real problem turning on the water. It could have been my exhaustive state.
Good value for money
Had a really nice time at Hotel Monopole, the staff was great, very polite and very helpful. The bed was amazing to sleep in, the hotel was always quiet and I really enjoyed my time there. The people working in the reception were also very helpful when it came to printing flight tickets, furthers bookings etc. I liked that it's not too fancy, not one of those hotels with too much service, people and noise. It was clean, simple, high quality and enjoyable. It's also right across the street from Centrale, which was practical. If I come back to Milan I will definitely book this hotel again.
There is nothing I didn't enjoy about this hotel.
This hotel is good to stay for a weekend, for leasure or business travelers. It very quiet. With a free WiFi. Also because it located in the best area in Milan, from there you can get easily to everywere you need. In the last month I was staying here few times. I tryed both type of rooms, economy and modern. Both variants are actually good.
It is nice hotel especially the superior rooms not the normal with very cooperative staff at recepation
Breakfast is on ordinary side Needs improvement
Location is a close walking distance to Milan Central station. Hotel rooms looks better in the advertisement online photos. Price is competitive. Dining area was good & Breakfast options served was nice.
Rooms are a bit run run down but to be expected considering the price paid. Wifi was very slow while in my room & dropping out occasionally. TV provided in room was poor in quality & channel options with no movies available in the English language. Ok if you're a local.
Location was close to Milan train station.
We were upgraded to a superior room - the room was tiny so would hate to see what size a standard room would be. Was supposed to have a double bed but instead there were two singles pushed together. Wifi didn't work either in the room.
Good location next to train station Some of the staff helpful
Reception area, Breakfast area, Strange chemical smell in room, Additional charges
Though location is near the train station but the area is very complicated with funny people hanging around. Looks unsafe if go back hotel late at night.
Unable to sleep well as the noise outside the hotel is very disturbing. Too noisy.
Very close to the central station, clean and friendly place.
nice and helpfull personnel, close to subway, nice breakfast
it is really a very old building that needs to rebuild a lot of things . Doors bathrooms, the photos are probably from special rooms.
Friendly staff. Very close to the train station. Good wireless internet (with few disconnects though). Ideal for those who want to stay one night and the day after travel by train/bus/airplane!
In the room there was a light which couldn't be turned off and it was placed almost in-front of the bed! It turned off by itself the morning. There was a strange smell in the entire hotel, like a rubber or something. The (small) refrigerator in the room was not connected to the power (we connected it). Maybe because of the noise it produced (?)
Breakfast sucks Room is old and not clean Staff can't speak English well Wifi will be disconnected all the time
Really close to the station, especially if you have big bags and a small kid. Staff was very helpful and nice, gave us a free room upgrade which was much appreciated. Room was comfortable, the bathroom was nice and clean, the shower was outstanding.
Location. Breakfast excellent
Very street noisy, all night. Beds mini
Staff welcomed us on our arrival and throughout our stay we found the staff helpful. Our room and bed were very comfortable.
Our breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. It would have been helpful if the staff had offered us expresso or coffee and shown us how breakfast was available. We had to watch other guests to see what to do. We were disappointed in the quality of the food.
Need to pay Euro 7 to use their electronic kettle. Only one electronic socket is available for recharing our notebook; thus, no tv to watch while using the notebook. Take a very long to connect the wi-fi and would be disconnected sometime. The attitude of a front desk staff is not friendly and we don't feel comfortable to talk to the staff.
Terrific location, five minutes from the Milano Central and very near to the Metro. There is only one staff at the reception but he is usually very helping and patient. Breakfast and wifi is not great but quite OK.
There was very loud noise every morning around 7 o'clock at where I live. Sometimes even in mid-night. There is really no sound proof at the door. So you'd better bring a pair of earplugs when you came.
The Cleaningservice room is good
not friendly receptionist
Hotel very near to the Milano Centrale Station railway station and is very convenient for traveller with larger luggage. Good breakfast.
Do not feel safe to walk in the nearby streets after dark.
Nothing to like about this hotel,
The staff is so rude especially the elder man with eyeglasses he's not helpful at all nor flexible over and above arrogant, we wanted to leave our heavy luggages until the flight time so we had to hold them by ourselves to the lockers no help no assistance , the location is too far cheap and poor
Had good sleep on the comfortable bed, very close to the train station.
The hotel looks shabby from the outside but like the tardis,in Dr Who,looks can be deceptive. And for central Milan, good value for money.Bedroom was quirky,in design but comfy bed,and ok bathroom.Small hand towels were useless but air con and daily clean, impressive. And good breakfast but extra tax each day was to be paid, for what.Overall good value for Milano but room choice always a lottery.
The area is very good for accessing the main train station but attracts the usual dodgy looking people who may be quite harmless. But you never know.
location price location internet helpful staff once served
waiting to check in
Location was very near the Milano Centrale Station for those planning to go on day trips out of milan. Wifi was reliable and room was clean too.
The room was serviced despite the "Do-Not-Disturb" signage hanged outside the door. Though nothing went missing, it just felt unsafe to leave certain valuables behind.
