The rooms were very dirty and old.The bathroom and shower had mould all over it. We weren't given clean towels and the cleaning of the room was not up to standard. For what they claim as a 3 star hotel we did not have a good experience! We did not have one good thing to say about this hotel, apart from the location.

In the information about the hotel they said it has nice and recently renovated rooms. But we got a room on the basement level which really not was nice at all. The air condition did not function and it was terribly hot, they had placed two extra tableconditioners but they did not give the necessary temperatur, they were also very noisy. No sleep at all. The room was not renovated, but it had a good bathroom. You could not close the shelters for the window which ment we could not have the window open because we lived below the ground, the window was directed towards a shabby area. We have travelled a lot in Italy and we use to be very satisfied with the accomodation, but not at all with this.

I simply love its location - so near to most places of interests. Yet it's safe. We very much appreciate Martel's (hope I got name spelt correctly) help in giving us some directions and very useful pointers when we first arrived at the hotel. He's much better than the Tourist Information. Mattel, thank you for you patience despite your not feeling well then. Our stay is very comfortable and it's definitely value for money.

The entire staff was very pleasant and helpful throughout our 14-day stay. I appreciated the multicultural nature of the staff. The prima colazione was excellent. The location of the hotel in Monti was ideal for sightseeing in Monti, Trevi, Piazza di Spagna, and Navona areas and close to atac bus services for more distant areas like Vaticano and Prati. Get newer mattresses.

Brilliant location for exploring Rome, good-sized room with air-con, and great restaurants nearby. Excellent value for the money. Tiny elevator!

While the location was great, it was extremely poor value for money. Breakfasts in particular had a very limited range, with only a few fresh(ish) pastries and bread rolls, and no fresh fruit, juices meats or cheeses. Table cloths were dirty and not changed in the three days were there - a smile from the staff at breakfast might have helped a bit. The room was small and cramped and as others have found, our bathroom was extremely small cramped and awkwardly arranged. Ok as a crash pad but otherwise very over rated and over priced.

A location is brilliant for city trips - you can get everywhere by feet and meet not only with landmarks, but with real Rome. The hotel is pretty poor, but now it have a new owner and may be more contemporary with service.

We stayed in Novmeber 2010 for couple of nights (standard room). Well located next to Colosseum and there was also metro stop nearby. Calm neighbourhood, very clean room and helpful staff. Okay breakfast with juice, tea/coffee, bread, ham, cheese, pastries and yoghurt. There was more offering on the breakfast during the weekend - on weekdays it was more simple. Hairdryer in room. On weekdays the breakfast could be better... There was only tea/coffee, juice, bread, butter and pastry.

The Hotel proximity to the centre of Rome, the friendliness of the Hotel staff and the cleanilness of the room. The bathroom was small and shower door was not working which was annoying. I was also charged for breakfast at the time of check out and would appreciate a refund to my credit card of 40 euro.

It has a great location, about 5 minutes walk from the Colosseum. The rooms were small, but nice and clean, and considering we went in December, very well heated. Breakfast was good, in an italian style, and the staff very helpful. The shower was not adjustable, so it was really tricky not to get your hair wet. Also, the towels were not changed every other day, as stipulated.

The staff who cleaned the rooms and served breakfast were very pleasant. The room we were taken to was perfectly acceptable for the price I was paying. The problem was that there was extensive construction work taking place which I should have been made aware of. As I lay down to sleep at midday after being awake all night travelling a pneumatic drill started and loud sound of rubble. I went down to reception and was informed that this would be going on from about 10 - 4. This was really unacceptable and guests should be informed of this before accepting the reservation. I was moved to a room over the road so that I would not be disturbed by the noise. This room was inferior to the first. The walls were unpleasantly marked and scuffed. You could not look out of the window. It felt confined, very basic and due to lack of decent window, unpleasant to be in. I should have been offered a reduction in cost due to the work that was taking place on the building and the unpleasant room that we ended up staying in.

Value for money, great location, room was a good size, perfect for a young couple not expecting a luxurious stay, but still very comfortable. The shower was a bit hot/cold. Cleaning staff could be a bit noisy if you fancied a lie in!

Paid £60 a night so got what you would expect for that price in a city like Rome. Brilliant location for colluseum, main shopping streets and trevi fountain etc are in walking distance but it takes a good 20 mins. Double bed was 2 singles pushed together which was a little annoying and the beds were very firm! Shower sprayed out in all directions but water pressure and temp control was good. Staff not particularly friendly to English tourists but this could have been mainly to do with the language barrier. Breakfast was ok but choice limited. Free access to Internet, close to metro which was very cheap! If your going to Rome for a city break you can see all main sights and not be rushed if you go for 5 days.

Close to the Colosseum. Below average price. Front door was locked at all times and we had to be let in by buzzer. Our room was a fourth floor walk-up (no elevator) and was in an apartment building next door to the hotel.

Location , location, location. Walking distance to everywhere. (a) our room had no phone, so no wake up calls were possible (b) our room was across the street and up two flights of stairs through three locked doors, so was difficult to access (our daughter couldnt go back to the room after breakfast, had to wait for everyone)

We had a rental car break down during the day we were to check into the hotel. We did not get there until almost 1:30 in the morning. I called the hotel at about 10:30 to let them know what happened and the desk clerk was so nice and told me not to worry about it. He stayed up to wait for us and was a pleasant as could be. The room and bathroom, despite the smell and size was as clean as could be. There is a computer for public use right there in the hotel if you want to quickly check your email or surf the web for a little while. The free breakfast was good if you like European yogurt. It's different from us. There were rolls and cheese and butter and the coffee is more like espresso with a little milk. As small as it was for the 4 of us, it was wonderful to come back to the room at the end of a long day in Rome. The hotel room for 4 people was very small. The bathroom smelled of sewage when we first got there but the smell was gone after a few flushes. They advertise wi-fi in the room but when we got there they told us that it only works in the lobby and parts of the first floor. We were on the 4th so we had to come and sit in the small lobby to go online.

Great location by the colloseum, 5 minute walk there! Train station was close too. Good restaurants nearby. Pantheon was a 15 minute walk away. Complimentary breakfast was the best we had from our trip. Staff was friendly and very helpful. We would stay here again!

I liked that the hotel was very easy to get to from the Termini. Easy access to all sights. To be able to view the colosium from the street of the hotel was wonderful. Great places to eat close by. Great gelato across the street and the pizzaria excellent value. Wonderful family run place. Even an internet access point close by. Can't beat it! Cute, nothing elaborate. Friendly staff and decent breakfast. Could even request a capacino! Did have access to free internet at the hotel reception area.
