Man on reception was smiley and very helpful. Breakfast was ok.
Bathroom smelt like sewers had to keep the door closed. Ants in the room.
- Location - close to all the major attractions - staff was helfpful
- The room had a pungent smell - Breakfast - The street across was a bit noisy
Single room had a double bed Very quiet room Although the lift stops between floors I was helped with my luggage (I was in another building)
The hot water ran out after one minute
2 double bedrooms fine- but only Jack the Beanstalk could hang the clothes -about 8 metres up? Why?..
On booking it was not explained there were 40 stairs up? -obviously it impacted as neither of us had good backs or feet-should have been made clear on booking-we would not have taken it had we known. The second problem was the terrible traffic problem -all roads being repaired and double parking -all night constant chaos -and it was too hot to shut windows! Most people like 'air'! TV had no booklet so very limited -not good reception on 3rd floor? We were both ill- but were not offered any refund -which showed no good will-as had heard others were complaining and being compensated? Wont go again for those reasons!
The accommodation is not god. When we arrived, the bathroom was smelling very bad. And it continued for all the travel after showers. It has some issue with ventilation. Breakfast is fair.
Very good location , everything is close , good and affordable places to eat , room was no big , but very clean and nice staff
my room had the view in an inside yard,it was a big window , but all the time , night and day , I had to use the curtain and the artificial light. I am sure that a room with better view would be most agreable
Weak to no wifi-signal on higher floors in the hotel
The mattress was broken and they didnt replace it when we warned them. They said there were fully booked and didn't offer any solution or compensation, so we had to sleep on a broken bed.
Staff were very helpful. Very central to tourist sights and restaurants and shops.
The room was across the street in another building from the hotel. Lift stops were between floors so had to carry luggage up or down 12 marble steps. Had to go through 3 locked doors to access room.
* Excellent central location * Very friendly staff (with one exception)
* Very basic breakfast and no hot food * Outdated room with minimal comfort
reception was average, staff not friendly or customer service inclined location is great but on busy street so if you leave windows open, very loud cleaning was mediocre - you could not tell if it was done or if housekeeping only came in to "make up the bed". I had to ask/make sure they were sweeping floor/vacuuming room. wi-fi signal strong on ground level and floor where the router was (in this case, 1st floor). Since I was on 2nd floor, signal was weak. Not sure about other floors.
Location was excellent, lots a great little bars and restaurants in the vacinity, roof terrace was lovely. Triple rooms was lovely size, saw other double room as was put in wrong one to begin with which was tiny, so glad we booked triple
Wifi was patchy. Please get proper hairdryers... those 1980s silly blower things attached to the bathroom wall are hopeles.
The location and facilities are good. It is less than 15 min walk from coliseum. The staff were helpful.
The elevator is small (only 2 people) and it is not good to arrive by car.
I do not stay in this hotel I slept first nighet then shift to plaza hotel I asked to retiarn rest of money they refuse every things is bad
Location and staff
The hotel's location was amazing. In the street of the hotel theres two GREAT places to eat in. One for ice cream and one for Pasta / Pizza. The hotel is located next to the colosseum and 15 minuts from Del Corso street by foot. The staff were nice to us. They understood our english and helped us at need. The room was small but lovely. There were always hot water in the shower.
The new taxes are way too high
Fast WiFi, nice location, near centre and near restaurants for local people(not so touristic)
The room which was given was tottaly different from the photos on booking.com site. It was a very small room from the past century...We asked for another double room like the photos and they said there was not available( I think there where saying lies because there was availability on booking).Instead they gave us a triple room with extra charge!!!! the room was not in the Hotel but on the opposite site of the road on regular house. Very poor breakfast..Not recommended for staying there even for one night.
This small and comfortable hotel is centrally located and was easy to find as it was a 10-15 minute walk from the train station. We were able to check in before midday and the lady at the reception desk was very friendly and polite and spoke a fantastic English. We were given a room called Augusto which was more than big enough for the two of us and our suitcases and had all the facilities we needed. It was a good value for money. We couldn't ask for more! The room was always clean. All of the staff were always willing to help, smiley, friendly and not intrusive. Wi-fi worked well during our entire stay which was very nice. Breakfasts were very delicious and basically included pastry, fruit and were enough to keep us going till afternoon. The hotel is queit even though it overlooks a very busy street. The neighborhood generally felt safe and was very vibrant and authentic with lots of locals hanging out here at night. There were plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants and shops in the area. There is an amazing ice cream shop from across the road. You could see the Colosseum down the road and it was a very spectacular view! The area had a certain Roman feel to it and that was the beauty of staying in the Monti district. All of the major attractions were within an easy walk, especially the Roman Forum, Piazza Venezia, Capitoline Hill. We only had to use Metro once for an early morning trip to the Vatican. At the end of our stay we were able to leave our things at the luggage room for free. Staying in such a wonderful hotel made our Rome experience beautiful and unforgettable. If we are lucky enough to come to Rome again, we are sure be staying at this hotel again! Grazie mille!
Quiet room in the centre.
Very small bathroom for four people.
It was exactly what we were looking for: low price, comfortable, pretty and at a great location (we walked around to most of the tourist attractions and there is also an MTR station 'Cavour' near by). what I loved most about the place is that it has a 'young people' sort of vibe with lots of good, relatively cheap restaurants cafes and bars around!
No good shampoos.
We had one of the rooms across the street and it was very good, simple and clean. The staff was friendly. Location perfect and a lot of local restaurants and people getting together around the nearest fountain in the evening. I would book again. Martin from Denmark.
We were so close to the Colosseum.
Staff could have been friendlier.
Great location and helpful staff, particularly the man who checked us in at night and had lots of helpful suggestions of what to do and see.
Only a continental breakfast. We would have liked the option of something hot. But fine if you just want cereal, pastries, fruit, etc.
Great location, friendly staff
In a great central location, easy to walk everywhere and surrounded by restaurants. Staff were extremely helpful and polite
Cleaners turned air con off in the day so our room would be hot when we got back in the evening
