Score from 419 reviews Good
Staff is extremely nice and helpful; 5min walk from train station (easy to catch not only trains but shuttle to the airport); 10min walk from many of the tourist attractions;
Shower cabin extremely small, however they provide a bigger bathroom in the corridor; Rooms facing the street are a bit noisy, but nothing relevant;
A short walk from the main railway station and very close to most of the other major attractions.
The only negative was the hotel was on the second level and there was no lift; rather 53 steps to lug our luggage.
Great location, good wifi and extremely nice host.
The shower was small and no breakfast options.
Very good location. Friendly staff.
Noisy neighbours. Shower cubicle not for claustrophobics. No TV set. Poor quality towels.
Its location next to the train station is good.
The bed was really noisy as well as the toilet "door". Also the walls quite thin. Instead of towels they have something like kitchen cloth. The shower is the smallest I have ever seen. My wife had difficulties to wash its hair because it could not move her arms inside. They do not have elevator and are in a 2nd floor.
5 min walk from station, great coffee shops and restaurants nearby.
Central location, host helpful
No lift two floors up with suitcases not good
Very close to Santa Maria Novella train station, also within walking distance of the Duomo and the all the shops in the area. The staff was very lovely and accommodating. Paola allowed us to leave our luggage for the day after we checked out and was very helpful in giving us advice about the bus to the airport. Its a great place to stay if you're in transit through Florence because of its location.
A little noisy in the hallway if you're planning to go to bed early.
The staf is really friendly. Nearby station.
Only minus is that the towels aren't changed. Also very noisy at night if you open the windows
Location (very close to the main station as well as the Duomo and the city center); the staff was very nice, give us a excellent map and tips of places to visit as well as eat. Clean and very well kept.
The loud noises from the street, make hard to sleep. Without breakfast (only croissants at the arrival, tea and coffee).
What we loved most about this family owned place is the hotel manager. We had problems on the train and we had to pay an unjust fine so Paoula the manager helped us by calling the agent who sold us our train tickets and even sent a letter by fax. She helped us with this problem even that this wasn't her job and we owe her much for that. The room was very clean and there was no noise coming from the street even though it's a central place. We wish we could have stadyed longer...
Big spacious room. Excellent location- just two roads across from train station, and an easy straight route to main attractions. Excellent hosts, great english, explained all the major attractions and how to get to them on a map, even where to get the best ice-cream. Small fridge and coffee/tea making facilities available in hallway. No breakfast included but only a two minute walk to a great food square that unfortunately only opens at 10 in the morning, (opening times 10am-12pm) but you can get a great cappuccino and croissant cheap there. (Go there in the evening for a huge selection of food with a hopping atmosphere!!) Great price and value for money!!!
Tiny shower in room but still manageable Air conditioning not the coolest but a big fan available in room But this didn't bother us for the price of the room and all the positives we would stay there again tomorrow.
Staff were amazing and very informative when it came to tours etc
Shower a bit small though we did have the option to use a larger one down the hallway
Beds were comfortable and place was clean.
The air conditioner was not cold enough and could not be adjusted due to the noise it made in another room that could disrupt other guests. Considering the lodging was a "bed and breakfast", breakfast consisted of a prepackaged croissant. We had to go out and get breakfast every morning.
The staff were very helpful, willingness to assist our requirements and provide positive feedback on current transport trends in Firenze. Awesome location, walk to almost anywhere in Firenze
Continental breakfast was barely enough, but ok
the host is very nice and helpful.the provided free bread and coffee very day in the room.the location is well, just 15mins' walk to the train station.
the bathroom is too small
Excellent Location.Helpfull Staff (the owner of the hostal is very kind) .Very clean room and bathroom.
The shower was very smal. No lift. If you want to leave the bags in the hotel you have to coordenate with the owner the time that you go there, because the reception is not 24/7. Despite you should't go late, the owner is very flexible to coordenate the time to pick up the bags.
The location is great.
The room was stink at night The smell was come from ouside. We tried to close the window but when we tried to turn on the air-conditioner, it didn't work. That was a horrible experience stuffing in a place full of dead body smell without fresh air. Next morning, when we told the keeper, she denied it and told us it was not the weather to turn on the air-conditioning. This is not fair as the description stated that the room is air-conditioned. If you really want to get there, must check on the air-conditioning. We were staying at the room with bath room in May.
The hotel is situated in the middle of town. So nearly everything of interest is within walking distance. Kind personel, very helpful. I would certainly return to this little hotel.
Almost nothing. The only thing I could say is that the room we had was a bit boring. Only one painting on the wall. And no TV either. But who cares, you don't go to Florence to watch TV in your hotelroom. No regrets!
Great location near to tourist attractions and Firenze SMN! Super friendly owner Paula who is willing to guide you through the town. Clean & tidy room.
Located on the 2nd floor of the building with no lift so if you are carrying heavy luggage, all the best to you. Can be quite noisy til late night as there are restaurants & bars nearby. Place is a little dark.
Nice and clean room, friendly staff, walking distance to the city center, calm neighborhood - highly recommend!
The staff atention, friendly and very helpfull. The recomendations were very usefull. The location is perfect.
Highly not recommended, expensive, Very rude management. The rooms are on 2nd floor and there is no elevator. You would have to carry your luggage on your head. Highly non cooperative staff.
Location is good. Near is very nice cafe with good breakfast.
Paula and Robre are very nice. They gave us every information we needed. Great location, very close to S.M.N. train station and duomo.
Shower room is very small that I could hardly move.
