Good shower and plenty of hot water Staff very friendly and helpful Ability to have window open for fresh air
Close proximity to Central Station, and shuttle bus to and from the airport
Proximity to centrale station & other transportation ease of access to all main attractions including by foot . So very expedient & value for money
There is one matter in abeyance , which I' m waiting to see follow up -so may be able to elaborate shortly
No different to any of the 3*** hotels I've stayed in nearby
Staff were friendly and helpfulI. Seemed safe but would not stay again. Homeless sleeping on the street around the corner
Old establishment Stained shower stalls which were way too small. Had to open the shower door to bend down to pick up the soap when dropped. Room safe on the floor of the closet and therefore difficult to access. Not sure if the bedspreads were changed after each guests' stay.
Great location, walking distance to Centrale train station. Good Breakfast
Thin walls. Some noise at night. Could use some renovating
Rooms are bigger than they looked in the photos
This was an overnight stop for us and the hotel was right next to the train station. Staff very helpful & friendly even though were arrived late at night. One member of staff walked with us to show us where there was a local restaurant. Room was quite spacious and comfortable. Good value for money.
Proximity to the central station was good. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Breakfast room was pleasant, if a little old-fashioned. Pleasant hotel all round.
Location of the hotel is excellent if you travel by bus or train. Hotel is just beside of central train station and airbus shuttle stop. All staff was really frendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Corridors not so much. Good breakfast, nothing very special but there is a choice.
It is very close to the train station. Staff is polite. The breakfast buffet was also generous with a lot of variety.
Close to centrale station...just a 5 minute walk....once you manage to find your way out of the busy railway station...signage extremely confusing and with an overcrowded busy station it is a bit of a challenge to say the least Clean room and helpful staff with a 24 hour service which is good.
Rooms fairly small and the key to open the door...well that one really was a bit of a mystery. Had to go down stairs to have the desk man assist me with that one! Very limited breakfast. Only anaemic corn flakes for cereal, no fresh raw fruit whatsoever and the hot water for tea was not hot. We were there at the opening time of 7am and at 7.30 when just about to leave some bacon and scrambled egg arrived much to our surprise. Lots of sugary cakes supplied but a bit early in the day to eat sugary things. The breakfast is something which really could be improved without significantly adding to the cost.
Excellent choice and location if you have one day trip via milano centrale station
No air condition which make room too warm to sleep in early autumn. When i open window i have to hear noise from street and no free wifi
Location, excellent staff
Transit strike during visit.
The location is good, very convenient. Staff is friendly.
The bathroom is really small, even can't turn around when u are taking shower.
The location and breakfask are good
It is all about the location. Beautifully located, basic but clean, courteous and helpful staff, lift facilities and a good breakfast spread. The Hotel checked us in at 11 AM inspite of the check in time being 2 PM. Although located just across the road to Milan Centrale, it is noise free and safe for late night return.
We felt like we got a great deal at Hotel New York, right across from train station and metro. Good recommendation for dinner. Very pleased with this hotel. Like most of Europe so far wifi needs to be stronger.
Softer pillows would be nice, but I'm reaching for that.
Perfect location if arriving/departing Central Station. Easy access to central city by metro. Good nearby restaurants. Spacious clean comfortable room
Hotel New York is ideal for a short stay in Milan. It’s situated in two steps to Milano central station and a bus stop to the airports. Our room was old and in grim colors but very clean, quite at night time, with a comfortable bed, mini bar and even cotton swabs and cotton pads. Breakfast is good for Italy. Different sorts of coffee (I loved latte macchiato very much) and eggs, different sorts of ham and many cakes and jams.
There is no free wi-fi in the hotel, but if you don’t need it all the time you can go to the nearby café, it’s chipper then to pay for wi-fi connection in the hotel.
On arrival I was told I was on 5th floor - lift too small for my comfort (claustrophobic) - I said I would use stairs but - without asking - I was given twin room - no extra cost - on 3rd floor - perfect! I had asked in advance for soya milk as I am vegan and it was available as promised. My Italian leaves a bit to be desired at the moment but staff all spoke English - excellent
I ordered breakfast in my room on the 2 mornings I was there. Being vegan I just wanted cereal and toast with jam - no butter. I got cereal and soya milk but no toast (butter and jam but nothing to put it on!!) - plus various breakfast pastries and yoghurt - which obviously were of no use to me
