Surprisingly good hotel, great location, great rate, very happy with our experience there. Just don't expect to do much with the wi fi as it barely works due to the thick a walls. Also, nothing on tv, but you don't go to rome to watch tv anyway.

We loved the breakfast and our clean rooms. We have 300 homes that we rent out in the United States so we know how important guest services are. The one recommendation that I would make is about the breakfast servers. They never once made eye contact, never smiled. I touched more then one shoulder to smile at them and to tell the servers how much I appreciated the lovely breakfast. They did not smile at me or even acknowledge me. I even overheard "another" table make the same comment. Would I stay at the Bettoja Hotel again? Yes, but it would have been an excellant stay rather than a good stay if the employees were friendlier. Thank you again. Warm regards, Kate Halvorsen

The location couldn't be better. It is about 200 meters of walk from the main train station, yet it is on a quiet city block. The staff is helpful. The room and facilities have an old world feel. Nothing luxurious, but everything is functional and clean. We had a bedroom and a good size sitting room with a sofa bed where our son slept. The two rooms are divided by the bathroom and a small hallway. Wi-Fi is free but hardly useful at the 5th floor. It was OK at the lobby. The breakfast is very good, with Bologna and ham, several fruits, a coffee machine with five choices, several kinds of pastry, cereals and breads, boiled egg, three juices and several kinds of tea. Several lines of tour buses are two blocks away. A nice coffee shop is next door. A definitely a value for your Rome holiday. Wi-Fi is too weak to be useful in the rooms.

This hotel's great strength is it's staff who were all unfailingly cheerful, polite and helpful. Rooms and bathrooms were clean and well- maintained. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful with cereals, yogurt, meats, cheese, breads, fruit, hard-boiled eggs. The staff kept everything replenished and tidy. The hotel's location near the train station is convenient and a taxi stand is also close by. The lobby is inviting and four computers are available to guests. There is also wi-fi. The neighborhood has several good restaurants and cafes. Shops are within easy walking distance.

We were landing at the airport in the evening and departing the next morning for Venice. I chose the hotel for its proximity to the train station. We took the Leonardo express to Termini Station from the airport and left from Termini for Venice so the location was perfect. Our room was adequate; breakfast was terrible. For our 1 night purposes, the place was ok. Would not recommend for long stays.

Location is good for getting to the metro and train station/airport. It was very clean and had a good breakfast. The area is nothing but hotels and tourist restaurants. It is a good value, just make sure to spend your time eating and drinking in the pantheon area or travestere.

Great location for touring Rome. Comfortable room for three and hotel staff was very accommodating when we asked for a different room due to cigarette odor. Convenient to train/metro/bus central.

Location of hotel The front desk staff was unfriendly and impersonal. We felt as though we were "bothering them" anytime that we needed help. They were curt and rude...very unwelcoming. We did not find this to be the case with any other hotels that we stayed in during our two week trip to Italy.

The room (540) was not overly large but was comfortable and met our needs. The hotel was in a good location and public transport was easily accessible. There were plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance.

I liked the breakfast, terrace view, and a little bit of the gym equipment (better than most of hotels I stayed) I had a hard time sleeping in the room 555 since it was below the gym. When people were working out, it seemed that the earthquake was inside the room. I even made a video of the room and the noise it caused. Also, the shower of that same room was not working properly and I could not take a good shower. The other rooms I stayed was better than room 555.

It was easy to find, comfortable, breakfast was perfect, location perfect, staff was very helpful, and it was very clean and well appointed. It would be more comfortable if the beds could be a little softer. (Pillow top?)

Location. Cleaning staff freindly and did a fine job. Guiliano in the Terrace was a wonderful professional and welcoming presence and offered more assistance and advice than anyone in the hotel. He was a fine example of a Roman ambassador!! Hotel front desk staff condescending, unfriendly and unhelpful - same for staff supervising the breakfast area.

I had 36 hours to see Rome for my first time, which was too short. But, the hotel is well located and made site seeing enjoyable and convenient. The central train station made it easy to walk from the airport transport bus to the hotel. The price seemed competitive for Rome. As a convenient and clean place to sleep, it was perfect. Wifi in public places did not work.

The free breakfast each morning was very elaborate and excellent. Overalll the hotel was clean and even fancy looking in the lobby. The room was very plain. The hotel was easy to find....and a very easy/quick walk from the train station. Despite reports online, we always felt safe....even at night when returning from the bus stop at Termini at 10- 11pm at night. The walk back was always very well lit with many tourists still out and about at that time. The air conditioner never worked in our room for the 3 days/2 nights of our stay. It was a constant 27c/81f degrees from late evening through early morning. I reported the problem 3 times to the front desk. The last time, the desk clerk told me the manager checked into the reports of parts of the hotel being too warm...and said it was just fine to him. How ridiculous!! I negotiated a 20% discount on checkout. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again because of their lack of concern for the comfort of my wife and me.
