Coming in by train we walked thru a bit of a grotty area so were delighted when arriving at hotel to find if quite glamorous and comfortable. Bit old world charm but in a distinguished manner. Plenty of red chesterfields to lounge in, in the foyer. The breakfast buffer (included in the price) was generous. Our room and bathroom comfortable and well appointed. We loved it. Also a rather lovely roof top terrace where we hade drinks and nibbles. Yes, it does have a lift too.
This is being picky, but instead of a tray of boiled eggs would love scrambled eggs on the breakfast menu.
Nice hotel in a good location to train station. We only stayed for the night and suited us for this location.
The location was great for getting to all of the sites we wanted to see. Our room was clean and spacious. The staff was helpful. The breakfast was good but could be expanded to include scrambled eggs.
The wi-fi is weak or nonexistent. We couldn't get a wi-fi signal at all in our room. We got a signal in the hallway and downstairs in the lobby but it was not very strong and was very slow. The TV in our room didn't work. They did change it out and that TV worked better. They have very few TV stations/shows that have an English option.
Breakfast a lot of choice but tasteless . The beverages tasteless .
Nice breakfast, cleanliness and location.
I thought the staff were very helpful. The hotel was clean, towels were changed every day. Toiletries were replaced everyday and there was an excellent roof terrace bar on an evening. Also a beautiful reception area. It was supposed to be 3 star, but I have stayed in worse 4 stars.
The only downside was you sometimes had to wait for a table for breakfast. The eating area was not that big for the size of the hotel, but they did have the breakfast hours from 6.30am to 10.30am, so if you went earlier it was OK but most people tended to come down later.
Facilities Nearness to Termini
All of it
Roof terrace Size of rooms and comfort
Wifi was terrible
Breakfast, room spacious, fridge, rooftop.
WiFi, seating, towels smelled funny.
This hotel is excellent value for money. Great standard, good comfortable rooms, friendly staff, ideal location for travelling, good breakfast. Also, a terrace bar on the 7th floor overlooking Rome was a great place to finish the day.
Comfy bed, great shower pressure, close to train and short walking distance to great food. Walking distance to Colesseum, roman forum, Trevi fountain and pantheon.
Wifi wasn't great in our room- needed to come down to reception to get decent service.
Old word charm. excellent staff
limited breakfast selection
Great Location. Helpful staff. Very nice hotel.
Close to termini
Too low value for money
The hotel was like a beacon of decency in a run down City filled with the most thoroughly unpleasant people I've ever met. Staff were very helpful and hotel was immaculate and well run in every way.
No parking could be an issue and wifi was a bit slow at times.
Just the location
The staff did not do the booking for us, they even cannot find our name and was so terrible. Because we fly across the world to found that no room for us. More over our triple room was paid by booking.com. after that the staff offer 3 single rooms for us, it were very tiny, fit just one person. We had no choice, so we took it for 2 nights because we were too tired to pack and unpack the luggage for the triple room in the next day. More over staff at the reservation forgot their smiles at home. For the breakfast, it was just acceptable.
Felt that the front desk were very unprofessional dont promise on the site that you speak English and then treated as an alien when addressing front desk in English
Almost everything felt that they were doing me a favour
Breakfast, location, good presentation, small but very useful rooms
Good sized room Nice bathroom Clean Beds were a good size Modern fittings Rooftop bar
Wifi was intermittent (although this was normally because of a high number of students staying at the hotel) Food options (outside of breakfast) are limited
I like everything. It is clean, all you need is provided, the staff are friendly and helpful. It is a wonderful hotel in a wonderful location making it easy to get around the city
The hotel accepts large groups and often these groups are of young Americans whose goal seems to be to drink to excess. That can be unpleasant.
Only location and it's proximity to the main train station for people who plan to move around Italy
When I checked in, they checked me in a room that is obviously for two persons when I already booked and paid for three persons!! the room was very small to an extent that the third bed was squeezed so I couldn't use the closet!! When I went down to change the room for a bigger one, the receptionist didn't like my request and immediately transferred me to his colleague who followed through my request. I felt I wasn't respected and I asked for something out of my right!!
The TV in our room did not work.
