I loved everything. Staff was wonderful and location superb. Even better than I had hoped. Restaurant across the street was outstanding.
If weather cooperates, you can eat your breakfast outside, nice way to start the day. We also enjoyed our evening drinks under the stars. Easy, quick bus ride into Siena. Nice to return to hotel to get away from hustle and bustle. Very good restaurant within walking distance.
Wifi was spotty.
Great Tuscany views. Great value and can highly recommend.
Great Tuscan views. Serenity. Obliging hosts. Great service. Good social vibe during terrace "happy hour".
Not being able to stay longer.
the wonderful panoramic view
The charm, the views, the cheerful and helpful staff, the excellent breakfast

Hotel character Location and views Friendly staff
Friendly and helpful staff Lovely room with amazing views Great breakfast Location Grounds
The hotel is located ten minutes walk from the walled city of Sienna or less if you take the bus from the stop near the front of the property. Our room was comfortable and relatively large overlooking a valley with views to the walled city. Breakfast outside with views across the valley was a highlight and the staff very helpful including carrying our bags from the car up the stairs to reception. They had bus tickets on hand to purchase, which made it easy when we wanted to catch the bus to go to dinner. Their recommendations for evening meals were spot on including the little ristorante across the road when we didn't feel like walking too far. Parking was easy and plentiful. The building is historic with original floors and ceiling which adds a bit of old world charm.
Nothing apart from having the grass cut along each side of the entrance to the property. It detracted a little from the initial impression of the property.
We enjoyed a three day stay in this wonderful hotel. We had a lovely ground floor room with amazing views. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace for breakfast or in the evening with a glass of wine. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.
Comfortable hotel on the edge of Siena. Staff friendly and helpful and greatly added to the experience. Easy walk into city centre or the bus is at doorstep. Breakfast outside on a warm morning with the delightful vista was a bonus. Would recommend.
Hotel was refreshingly different - an elegant palazzo 1km from Sienna Hosts were helpful and courteous Relaxed on the terrace with wonderful views over the Sienna countryside Breakfast was good
Staff, location, VIEWS! Stay here, don't even look elsewhere.
Small rooms/showers BUT it did not matter, we stayed outside most of the time and did tours! Great place to sleep.
Hotel Palazzo di Valli was a delightful location for our four days in Tuscany. Since we were driving, we appreciated their on-premises parking vs. attempting to navigate the narrow streets of central Siena. The trip to the center of town was made very easily by bus, and we had no trouble returning by taxi each evening. The staff members were extremely courteous and went out of their way to be sure we enjoyed our stay. The outdoor terrace is very relaxing-- you would think you are much farther outside the city. It was so helpful that the "breakfast room" is open all day and evening. Wine is available for purchase in the evening, but there was no problem with our providing our own and borrowing plates and.cutlery for our own picnic on the terrace one evening in lieu of dining out. Breakfast was delicious with homemade pastries and a selection of fresh fruit. Probably our favorite hotel from this trip!
Lovely host, views, breakfast.. Convenient bus ride into Siena but can walk as well. A nice getaway from crowds....
We are a family of five people and very much enjoyed our stay. In fact, I can not find anything negative to say about this small and friendly hotel. As it is not situated in down town, one needs to either walk (approx. 20 minutes), take a taxi or a bus (5-10 minutes) to the old town. This was not a problem and in return one can enjoy quiet nights in beautiful surroundings.
I couldn't believe the small price we paid for the breathtaking views. I almost didn't want to leave my hotel, it was so peaceful. The staff was incredibly kind and friendly. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast every morning overlooking tuscanys rolling hills, and wine at night. The hotel is small so it is never crowded. Also the walk into Sienna is very easy.
Really not one complaint-we felt like we were in a private villa.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating! The location was good being just outside the city, which made it walkable, but the bus stop was also very close for anyone unable to make the 10 minute walk to Porta Romana.
The location was superb - it really was just a 10 minute walk to the city and if you were feeling tired or hot, the bus which was just outside the gate, ran every 15 minutes and took you into the centre quickly and easily. The views over the countryside were outstanding - you felt you were in the country and yet part of Siena too! The staff were all charming, knowledgable and extremely friendly - breakfasts excellent!
Very pleasant, welcoming and helpful staff; a nice breakfast; a small hotel - so there is a sense of 'intimacy' and no real noise from other guests; a lovely view over the city and valley from rooms (ask for a room with a view); close enough to the city to get to easily - either by bus from right outside or on foot - but far enough away to get a sense of peace and quiet
There was nothing not to like
Beautiful hotel, amazing views. Lorenzo makes you feel so welcome. Breakfast is great, friendly staff, serves great coffee every morning, wine and nibbles on the terrace is Devine. So relaxing, yet very central.
This was an excellent hotel, a short walk from the city wall (or a short bus ride into the city). It is set off from the road, so it is very quiet. I found it to be extremely relaxing; having breakfast on the terrace, overlooking the beautiful countryside surrounding Siena. The staff are extremely polite and helpful, the palazzo is beautiful; we had a wonderful stay there and would stay again. I recommend it without hesitation.
Stunning location, overlooking the Tuscany countryside. Great hospitality
Good location with a lovely terrace overlooking the Tuscan countryside where breakfast and aperitives can be served. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Our bedroom and bathroom were a bit cramped.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and provided excellent information on the local area when we arrived. Good location for Siena.
Car parking was cramped and entrance off the road very narrow.
