We had three rooms, 2 doubles and a single. The beds were comfy and we had a small balcony with a table and chairs. The staff were extremely helpful in making our stay more pleasant. The hotel is located on the outskirts of historic Florence but the bus stop was located around the corner and came every 20 minutes. There were bicycles for the guests use as well as a computer in the downstairs hallway. The breakfast was very good with lots of selection. The showers were quite small. Only negative were the small showers.

1) free bike, 2) the room was big the shower was horrible: 1) a small confined area isolated from a 'big' bathroom by windows, 2) water was leaking out into the bathroom floor after the shower, 3) there is automatic lamp (!) in the bathroom that turns off when you are in the shower; from time to time you should open the door (this is 'not' when water leaks into the floor!) and wave your hand in order to be caught by the sensor, otherwise you are in complete darkness....the staff help you for booking for the museum if you show insistence.

We found the staff at the reception were only to willing to help, and advise you on the local attractions in Florence, and they could speak good English. The buffet breakfast had a good variety. The hotel was 15 minute walk to city centre, and a 5 minute bus trip to the station. The bus stop was around the corner from the hotel. Our room was right at the front on the street level, and we did have quite a lot of traffic noise, the bathroom was very small.

The staff were so friendly and very helpful. Wi-fi was so easy to access. The breakfast was worth it. The cleanliness and set up of rooms was great considering how cheap it was. We went there for the marathon and they were happy to put out breakfast from 0630 for us.

The hotel was excellent. The staff very friendly and spoke good english which helped due to my poor italian. Very helpful and also put on an early breakfast for us and other guests as we were doing the marathon later. Free wifi was a bonus as was the free bike hire which was unexpected. Would definetly use this hotel again.

The staff (I had the privilege of meeting the owner and his son) are deeply committed to making your stay comfortable. Even though it is definitely a well established hotel, the sense of pride the owner takes in welcoming you and meeting your needs, makes it feel like staying with friends. I highly recommend this hotel. I was sad to leave. I would also recommend asking for a room facing the courtyard too if you are sensitive to noise.

The staff were excellent. The breakfast was fine. The location is fine - an easy walk to major attractions. The wireless internet was fast and the signal was strong in my room. The TV in the room was modern so I was able to connect my phone to it to watch movies, and listen to music. My room smelled of cigarettes, but was comfortable. I did book it last minute, so maybe they do have smoke-free rooms.

Hotel Panama was literally within walking distance of everything in Florence. The room was large and clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff was incredible...always helpful and professional, and had lots of tips about getting around town and where to eat...an amazing value for the service and amenities!

The hotel itself is cozy, romantic, quiet and walking distance to main attractions. Friendly, warm and helpful staff. Rooms were very comfortable - large, spacious and nicely decorated. We had a lovely balcony to the back courtyard. Parking available and very useful considering Florence. Wifi was working pretty reliably (not the fastest in the world, but pretty good overall). We could not have asked for a better accommodation. Breakfast, although nice, could be better with bit more of variety.

Reasonably priced, pleasant staff. The room was tiny and the bed only suitable for a child. The air conditioning was loud and not very effective. There was no other available. Also, I had to return a day early and gave 60 hours notice of this but was charged for the last night. I would recommend but not for a single room.

We loved the promotion of the free parking (really bonus in Florence) Also the use of their FREE bikes, great way to cruise around and see the city on a warm evening. The woman on reception was lovely and really was happy to help any time day or night. Breakfast and the air conditioning was great too!

We enjoyed our stay in the hotel very much. It is a very peaceful place in the city of Florence, a mile or so from the historic centre, and has the feel of being in the country. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was large enough and well-equipped, and had a balcony which overlooked a small patio area with jasmine and other flowers. It was a pleasure to sit out in the evening and relax with a glass of wine. The parking is invaluable, as it is very difficult to find a space on the street, and all cars have to be cleared twice a week for street cleaning. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in the city.

“The location was great - away from the main sites and crowds, but close enough to walk there in about 15 minutes on a pleasant, pedestrians-only street. Enrico, the owner, was very attentive. He gave us a map and showed us everything we needed to know about the sites and the transit system. He recommended restaurants that were tasty, inexpensive and away from the tourist area. The weather was so good that we walked everywhere from B&B Cimabue 9. The rooms are small and clean with adequate storage and lots of hot water.” Elizabeth, Dartmouth |
