Was clean and tidy, room was a good size, had a very good shower, owner helpful, very convenient to train station, good variety of breakfast provided in a nice dining room. We were there in the low season and though the trains were close by they weren't that loud and didn't bother us at all. There was easy access to the CinqueTerre by train and by walking/cycling thru tunnels to Levanto. The Wifi in lobby worked well. (Note you can't use it in rooms). Bonassola is quite a small town and very quiet in the low season but this may be a bigger advantage if you are there during the high tourist season. It also is not the prettiest of the villages to stay in and there are limited places to buy food etc. We thought Levanto was prettier and also has a lot more to offer though this may be the reverse in summer! There wasn't anything major to complain about, but there also wasn't really anything that stood out about it...

The hotel is in a quiet town, the hosts were helpful and welcoming. The hotel is close to a very nice beach and I would recommend staying here instead of the towns of the Cinque Terre if you prefer to avoid the tourist crowds. The Cinque Terre is easily accessed by the train. It was a little noisy with the train nearby, but it was still a great location.

We loved the rooms and the beautiful linen and furniture. The garden area was lovely and the food in the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. Breakfast included fruits, pastries, cereal, meats, cheeses and more. Staff were most helpful and extremely friendly. We loved our stay!

The location was very convenient for train travel and easy access to Cinque Terre. The beach is also nearby and catered to local families - a bit rough gravel instead of sand. The location while being convenient also meant noise from trains. Overall really enjoyed our stay.

It is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. The staff is wonderful and the breakfast, on the terrace, was exceptional. It is conveniently right next to the train, which we could hear but was not bothersome when the windows were partially closed. The doves are quite noisy in the morning so shutting the window is a good idea (use the fan). Great escape from the cities of Italy! The train noise was not a problem but the doves are very loud. The hotel provided earplugs but only one of us used them. Shutting the window eliminated all noise.

The hotel had a nice atmosphere and the ladies running it were friendly and very helpful. It is very close the beach and the village has more than enough bars, cafes and restaurants for a short visit. Bonassola is less touristy than other villages but is still a short distance from the main tourist areas. There are nice walks from the hotel. It could be a little bit noisy at night. The walls are thin!

We loved this hotel. It was a beautiful old home. The breakfast was very good and served outside in the pretty garden. The people were very nice. It is just 2 train stops after the Cinque Terre and in a small, quiet little village, much quieter than staying in the Cinque Terre. However, it has a lovely beach (small rocks, so wear water shoes). We will definitely stay here again if we get to the area again.

The hotel is slightly dated, but has a very traditional charm about it. It has a good location next to the railway station and although so close we did not find the noise a disturbance during the night. Our room was of good size, light and airy, but the shower / bathroom facility was a little disappointing - large space but small shower! Breakfast on the terrace was lovely. Needs a 'breath of fresh air'. We got the feel of some lost 'elegance' and lost 'soul'. It can not survive on charm alone - it needs some invstment and tlc!

Staff were very friendly. The hotel was lovely and very Italian countryside. Breakfast was out in the garden in the perfect weather we had. Fantastic location and close to the train to check out Cinque Terre. Also very close to the beach. Probably the train being so close but it really wasn't as bad as some people have mentioned here!!

It was a great, family run place. Bed and breakfast feel, with the privacy of a hotel. Very clean, and well kept. Bonassala was a great town, quiet and small, but still had places to eat on the water and a nice little beach. The hotel was very close to the beach and very convenient to the train station. It was an easy hop to Cinque Terre from the hotel! We had a great stay there and would recommend it to anyone. We hope to go back soon!

If you want to visit Cinque Terre but would like to stay in a beautiful quiet village then this typical Italian family hotel is a must. Beautiful room, lovely breakfast, relaxed atmosphere and wonderful pebble beach. Very close to station but very convenient to visit all towns in 5Terre by foot/train. Staff very helpful and professional. Would love to return one day.

We loved everything. The Hotel was about a 2min walk from Bonassola train station, set slightly on the hill. Our room was really light and our windows overlooked the sea and the stunning town. The breakfast was great, meats, cheeses, cereals and homemade cakes.

I liked it's proximity to Cinque Terre and only a short walk to the train station. The proprietor and staff were very friendly and helpful and they spoke English. They promptly offered helpful tips about the area The hotel is very charming and comfortable. You awake in the morning to church bells and rooster calls. The sound of the train is heard from a short distance. All this calls you to awake and to get outside to explore the quiet and authentic town of Bonassola, and the nearby historic and magnificent Cinque Terre. The lovely breakfast room was full of orchids and flowers and antique charm, not to mention a delicious breakfast with fresh fruit, bread, cheese & meat, granola, cereal, yogurt, cakes and fruit torte, also cappucino or any hot drink of your preference.
