Hotel Perusia is in Perugia. The town is built on a mountain. The old town or downtown is on the top of the mountain inside the old city walls, and this hotel is about a 15min easy walk uphill to the old city walls. We arrived on a Friday night, and there were a lot of kids downtown where things were very lively and noisy. There were many hotels in the old town itself, so I was glad I didn't stay at any of these hotels where I am sure you would not be able to get any peace and quiet. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated, and the staff are very friendly. In terms of quality, I would consider it like a Marriott or Hilton. The hotel has free wifi internet and an open PC in the lobby area. Free parking in front of the hotel. There is an underground garage, but I didn't use it and not sure if it cost anything. There is free welcome drinks between 6:30-7:30pm and free breakfast in the morning. 2 waters and 2 sodas in the fridge are free as well. We also ate at the hotel restaurant for dinner. The food was great and price was very reasonable. There is a supermarket a block away. If you are driving, you will be coming up the hill into town. It is very easy to miss the hotel even if you have a GPS because the entrance is a sharp right turn as you come up hill. The front of the hotel can NOT be seen at all from the street if you are coming up hill. The best thing is to look for a red sign for "CANTO SESTO Ristorant" and make an immediate sharp right turn. This restaurant is a part of the hotel.

Bedroom very luxurious, and lots of extras provided. Good parking and within easy walking distance of city centre. Welcome drink was nice touch. Didn't see pool due to bad weather so cannot comment. Breakfast very busy, but restocked after rush at 0930, so if busy come back later. Reception staff very helpful. Although room double glazed, it overlooked main road and was very noisy. Bin lorry at 5am especially loud! Request quiet room (facing away from road). Hotel restaurant aimed at corporate clients - very expensive, so go into town. Someone added their bar bill to our room number, so check your bill carefully - this happened several times in restaurants and hotels in Italy, so beware!

We booked a family delux room (sleeps 4) The photo showed a room with a double bed and 2 singles. When we arrived we were given a room with a king bed & a made-up sofa sleeper. My sons (young adults, not children) found the sofa sleeper so uncomfortable that they slept on the floor! The next morning I pointed out the accommodation discrepancy to the Front Desk. They were good enough to change our room accomodations for the rest of our stay. Good on them for "fixing" the problem/Bad on them for trying to pass off a sofa sleeper as 2 beds in a Family delux room...

We arrived at this hotel on a Saturday and were given a top floor room, which was quite nice as the hotel has good views. Unfortunately, when we returned from dinner that night, a noisy party (with loud singing) was underway in the rooftop bar which went on past midnight. Not being able to sleep wasn't great and hearing YMCA sung in Italian is only amusing for a short while. I'd suggest other travellers check if there are parties on during their stay before booking. The rooms, especially the tiny bathrooms, need updating as well. This hotel is OK, rather than good.

The rooftop view over the Umbrian country side was stunning. The room was very spacious, exceptionally clean and had lovely views of the Umbrian valley. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was far too small. I was expecting a longer pool to swim laps in. I believe the photo on the website was misleading. The airconditioning in our room did not work properly. Given that it was 40 degrees in the day time and still very warm in the evenings, our room was not as comfortable as it should have been. There was no iron available to use in the entire hotel which was very inconvenient. A hotel of this standard should have an iron available upon request. When our room was serviced/cleaned, we were only left with one bath towel and no toilet paper. Water leaked through a small gap between the shower glass door and the bath tub rim and so the water covered the floor in the bathroom. While the breakfast was plentiful, the hot food (eggs, bacon and mushrooms) were of a very low standard.

Location, restaurant was far better in the hotel then the food places in town. Actually, the hotel was ok, but the town was really focussing on daily tourists. It was very hard to find decent food outside of the hotel.

Nice hotel a bit out of the way. Good breakfast and evening meals. Gps said we were there, but could not see a sign or building that looked like any hotel. It is up a drive that is more than a right turn if going up hill.

Exceptionally clean contempory hotel with interesting art displayed.Amazing views fom roof terrace a 360 degree view of the region.Rooms large & comfortable. Breakfast and meals very good taken in restaurant adjasent to hotel, a high standard and choice.Staff very friendly and helpful. Takes a brisk 15min walk to city center in areas sharp incline, but worth it many interesting shops and streets on the way. Allows you to enjoy the local food with out worrying about your waist line to much!!! We hope to return in July for Jazz festival and get to use the roof pool should be warm enough as to cold for an october break!! Would recomend and will definately book when we return to Purugia next time.

Excellent location readily accesible to city center by bus, hotel shuttle or taxi, or on foot for those up for a good stroll. Rooftop terrace and pool offer splendid views of the surrounding countryside. Breakfast buffet and inhouse restaurant offer good food in an elegant setting. Highly recommend this place.

The views especially from the roof top terrace were spectacular. The staff were friendly and always eager to help. The food in the restaurant was out of this world and the welcome drink most welcome! Nothing!

The recently renovated rooms are nice and of good size. Breakfast is of a good standard (except for the perculated coffee, have expresso instead) and has a wide variety. Plenty of on site parking. Bus stop to town is just outside the hotel but you can't buy tickets from the hotel, you need to walk the 300m to the Tabachini to buy them. Nice friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is appox 1.5km's from the town centre. Access to and parking in the town centre is a nightmare, so don't drive. A taxi will cost about Euro 8 one way and is a better way to go. The on site restaurant whilst good with local food and treats is a bit too expensive.

Very upscale. Spotlessly clean. One of most usable foyers I have ever seen. Staff very professional. Assocaited restaurant had excellent food, though somewhat pricey. Location a bit far from old town. Hotel does run a shuttle to old town during a one hour period in the morning but we were not told of service at check-in.

The roof terrace with views, swimming pool, bar and quiet too.. We did not find it near or convenient to reach the centre. We did havea car but that was not so useful either. The dining room for breakfast would have been perfect eating outside but the staff were brusque and it was off-putting for new guests. The rooms were not comfortable-needed some comfortable chairs -. Charges for roof terrace drinks rather and I didnt spot this until we left. Last night for 1 beer and a shandy they had charged E.11 Would not stay there again.

This is a lovely, very modern hotel. Rooms are spacious, bathroom is well- equipped. The terraza on the 5th floor offers panoramic views of Perugia and has a small pool. I appreciated that it located outside the activity of the central piazzas; taxi rides are inexpensive and quick. Hotel staff is very helpful----the ladies helped me find a self-service laundry. Wifi is free as well as the underground spacious parking area. Onsite restaurant is very unusual for Italy, and really took advantage of its convenience. Food and wine are excellent and moderately priced.
