We loved this hotel and would certainly come back to it if in Bergamo again and would recommend it to others. The decor was good. It was pleasant, comfortable, clean and the staff were very nice. And the breakfast was delicious.

The best point about the hotel Piemontese is its location. Right across the road from the train station. 'We stayed overnight before flying back to Liverpool, so did not have to carry luggage very far. The airport bus stops right outside the station. The bedroom was comfortable enough and the ensuite shower room looked new and clean. Continental breakfast included in price was ample and tea and coffee plentiful. Reception staff and room maids were helpful. Fine for a 1 night stay but as the old town is not very far away and the bus (?1A) from the train station goes there, we'd probably try somewhere in the old town if we were in Bergamo again. Apart from the vivid colour scheme (orange walls, orange tiles in shower room), nothing to remark on. Not much view outside our room window but as we were only there for 1 night view not important.

Perfect location.Next to train station and just outside the main street.Very clean room.Suggest you ask a room with a view...There are no balconies in the hotel though...Just outside the train station, they also run buses to the cita alta(bus no 1),buses to bergamo airport(ticket costs 2 euros).Bergamo itself is an amazing town!It is worth spending one day or two and visiting it! The breakfast is very poor.Basics,no eggs, bacon etc...even missing capuccino. I suggest you choose a room with no breakfast and have it outside instead. There is a very good coffee shop-bakery-patisserie for example on the main road, viale papa giovanni 66.Concerning the price,we also payed an additional 5 euros tax for two persons per night, compared to milan where we payed 2 euros both for two nights...

The hotel has undergone a great re-furbishment and is spotlessly clean and in excellent condition. The central location is also excellent and the hotel was surprisingly quiet. The breakfast was good and there was plenty of choice. The bedrooms and bathrooms were immaculate considering this was a three star hotel. All in all I believe the hotel represented good value for money. There could have been a vending machine for light refreshments in the reception area.

Great location, friendly service, comfortable room, free wifi. Breakfast clean-up could have been more efficient, booking confirmation could have been better scrutinized regarding parking, bathroom door (room 105) did not close properly.

We had an evening incoming flight so looked for a hotel close by the train station. The Piemontese was ideally situated as it was straight opposite. The room was clean as were all of the public areas. The room size was fine and everything that one would expect was there. Some may not like the background noise of the traffic at busy times but hey this is a city centre hotel. I didn't find it too bad anyway and it would not put me off staying here again. We bought our tickets for the following day at night when the station was quiet. We took a leisurely breakfast which was more than adequate. We then caught our train at 8.0am with no dramas to continue our holiday. We checked in rather late at night due to a flight delay and were then on our way reasonable early the next day so we were not really there long enough to experience any problems.

Standard room was small, but really clean and nice. Bathroom was shining clean and quite spacious. Staff was helpfull and polite. Location is good, just at the beginning of main road. Breakfast was quite poor, only some bread with cheese and ham, cerials and yoghurt.. And not even propper italian coffee! Beds where hard.

Good-size clean bedrooms. Efficient and helpful reception staff. Excellent location near the railway station for train or coach trips to Milan, Lake Garda, Lake Como etc. The hotel is also on the main bus route for the Citta alta or the higher and more picturesque part of Bergamo. The breakfast is continental and perfectly adequate. Overall the hotel lives up to its 3 star billing. We would however recommend that you try to book a room at the back of the hotel because the front, which looks out onto the station and the main road, could be quite noisy at night. No dinner restaurant in the hotel but plenty of restaurants if you walk up the boulevard towards the Citta Alta. The only downside of the location near the railway station is that there are sometimes a few odd characters including beggars positioned on the boulevard just behind the hotel.

The staff all went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We had asked for a balcony and we were moved after our first night. The web site advertises that rooms have balconies. In fact, only two of the rooms do but this was not clear. And the website advertises that smoking rooms are available, but none are smoking now. There was no information on guest facilities in the rooms. Breakfast was basic but sufficient. A pizzeria attached to the hotel is under construction and it will make a difference to have somewhere on site to get a drink or coffee through the day.

Very impressed with this hotel, right beside the train station, a beautiful view of the mountains from the windows. Everything was finished beautifully, I would certainly stay there again. Certainly my number one choice for Bergamo! Lovely bakery down the road, great restauraunts, no complaints! I was pleasantly suprised.

I have stayed on several occasions at the Piedmontese and found always a pleasurable experience. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The hotel is a very central location across the road from the train and bus stations. The hotel has recently had a makeover with the rooms and breakfast bar being modernised. At this present time a new restaurant and bar are being constructed. Excellent!!!!! Not a fault of the hotel but a Bergamo city tax which is paid on individual daily basis for tourists for the pleasure of staying there. 2.5 euros a day which totalled 37.5 euros for a 5 day stay for our party. Which is a damned cheek, shame on you Bergamo!

My stay was ok. No fuss and good value for money. I didn't find the staff particularly friendly though. Due to its extremely conveninet location next to the train station, it's a hotel for short stays with lots of coming and going. Reception by staff is functional and anonymous.
