Hotel Porta Faenza

located on a quiet street, but within easy walking distance to train station and major attractions; hotel staff was friendly and helpful; room was large and clean.

Internet service was wireless, but the signal wasn't strong enough to access from individual rooms; guests with laptops congregated in the hotel lobby, next to the hotel's desktop. Tiny bathroom.

Nice breakfast area and breakfast included, very central location and close to train station, nice room and bathroom facilities were great

our room overlooked the street and it was a bit noisy at times, but i did like being able to hear the church bells ringing

Very, very small room although we asked for a "large" room.

The staff was not only friendly but went out of their way to help. Especially Ann the desk clerk, what a lovely woman. I highly recommend this hotel. Not only was it clean and homey feeling, the price was great. We shall go back again.

The hotel was well located and the rooms were very nice, except for the room which faced the street, which was large and beautiful but VERY noisy.

When booking, I specifically asked for a quiet room away from the street, and they put me on the first floor right by the street the first night. It was very noisy and we had a terrible night. The next morning they changed us, but we wasted our time having to repack and move etc. The staff were courteous and professional but I wouldn't call them friendly or warm, or particularly communicative.

Hard beds.Staff (?) talking loudly in the mornings,and furniture being moved in the mornings.Shower fitting alongside bath needed fixing

Lo mejor es la ubicación, muy cerca de la estación de tren y el centro de la ciudad, tanto que desde la habitación se ve un poco del campanario del Duomo y es genial el salir todos los días andando al centro histórico. Habitación confortable, limpia y de ambiente renacentista, muy acorde con una visita a la histórica y artística Florencia. Muy bien ambientada.

Se oyeron algunos ruidos de emisoras (¿del personal de servicio del hotel?) por la noche. La calle es casi peatonal y tranquila. Pero enfrente hay un albergue, por lo que que, en ocasiones, algunos grupos de mochileros hacen ruido mientras hablan, charlan o gritan por la calle.

Lo staff molto cordiale e disponibile, colazione ricca ed abbondante. Posizione ottima perchè l'albergo si trova vicino sia alla stazione dei treni di Santa Maria Novella che al centro storico.

La camera matrimoniale di tipo economy, sebbene confortevole, costa un pò troppo rispetto a quello che offre.
