View of river Arno. The breakfast. Most of the staff was quite friendly and helpful. Internet access. Clean rooms. The cost. Breakfast did not start until 7:15, so we missed it on early tour mornings. A mini breakfast could be offered starting at 6:00. The drapes do not block out street light.

This family owned hotel is luxurious and beautiful. The owner checked us in and was there everyday to greet us. What service. The breakfast was great and the service through out the hotel was wonderful. We even had a private parking spot included. Our room included the terrace with a view of the Arno river. It was a great experience and everything in Florence was a few minutes walk away. We will definitely be returning to Florence and staying at Hotel Principe!

The beautiful old palace building added some valuable style to our trip. You can feel like royalty :-) Every item in the house has it's place. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We were very lucky to find this jewel.

Hotel principe has a great location, it is right on the cannal and to all the main sites in Florence. The hotel has a parking lot, nice staff and great view. The hotel design is Italian old fashion. When i wanted to dry my hair, the blow dryer caused a blackout in the room that took a few minutes to repair and i couldnt use it my entire stay. The voltage of the outlets are lower than 200v

The concierge was great, The breakfast was good, the room pleasant and the staff were absolutly great! Our room was plesant. Also, when booking, I mentioed that we were celebrating our 47th wedding anniversy and flowers, fruit and flowers were in our room.. very much appreciated. the bathroom was very poorly lit and the bathtub was very slippery and the bottom slanted so one had to be extremely careful. The water never got truely warm.

Beautiful hotel! Staff could not have been more accommodating. Even arranged for a package to be shipped so I did not have to go to the post office. Excellent breakfast! I hope to visit again in the future.

I really liked hotel Principe, because I had a very pretty room with an antique style and was for 1 person. Travelling alone, I felt it is really nice to find a real single room. In the first morning I went to breakfast room but since hotel was full there was no empty tables. I decided to have breakfast outside, as ı was heading to the door the responsible stopped me and prepared me breakfast in a nice antiques furnished room. So this was an other reason I found Principe nice. Last but not least its near to everywhere, hictorical center, ponte vehhio and even train station. I believe was a good experience

The Hotel is a very romantic place. Nice and old fashioned style - every second you can imagine that Sir Peter Ustinov is coming around the corner! On top of the Roof you have an overwhelming view across the Arno River and the City! It is placed pretty near by the Rialto Bridge but very quiet. The Hotel personal is very kind an professional and the price is really cheap for all this.

We stayed here mainly due to location and free parking. Other hotels were quoting anywhere from 10 euros to 30 euros a day for parking. Parking was exactly what we were looking for, secure and private. Location was great. It was walking distance from all the main sights as well as train station and bus stops. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Almost all of them spoke English and were incredibly helpful. Breakfast was the usual Italian buffet of boiled eggs, croissants, meats and cheeses. Hotel was nice, clean, and the ac worked great in our room (which is rare in Italy!). Nothing that is really worth writing about.

The breakfast was above average and the breakfast staff were courteous. The hotel parking was also convenient. I feel that if one is to answer such a survey, it is important to be clear and honest. This hotel is not worth the money at all. The room, in fact the entire hotel has the feeling of being so far past its prime that it has become dirty, dusty and run down. Pain is chipping, things do not work and the smell of cigarettes pervades. We stayed in a few 'older' hotels on this trip...some that have seen better days and were once 'grand'...but this hotel has not been kept well. The room is large, but dusty and smelly, with a terrible bed. The armoire smells badly. The bathroom, while being marble, has peeling paint and dirt on the walls. The air conditioner is all but useless. Yes, it is very hot in Firenze this year, but on 'high', it responds as if on 'low'. the response of the staff was "open the window"...well, not when it is 100 degrees outside. I asked finally for a fan, and that was a fight. The water went brown on us in the bathroom. My complaint about this elicited a response of "well, it is the town's fault, we give you wheat they give us". Rubbish. It is old plumbing, without doubt. Perhaps the worst thing is the lack of 'do not disturb' sign. Our room was treated NOT as 'our' room by the cleaning staff. They came and went as they pleased. In fact, with a noon check out time (guaranteed) we returned to our room at 11:45 to find the room already cleaned (so that we could not use the toilet without dirtying new towels) and our baggage moved, some pieces packed for us ! terrible invasion of privacy. The final straw was this - while packing our car, a member of the staff shut the gate until we returned to pay our City tax. As if we were trying to leave without paying it? Our room was pre-paid. This hotel needs a significant infusion of money to bring it up to standards that are acceptable...the staff should not smoke in public areas and the a/c should be fixed. The hotel is NOT worth the money, perhaps half the money.

The hotel is very welcoming, the staff is great and very warm, free parking that belongs to the hotel, the location is fantastic. It's a bootik hotel that gives you a feeling of a home, thanks to the staff, and it feels like you are in the 19's century mixed with with the today times. Mostly recommend on room with the river view. The beds are separated-no one king size bed

Nice location, we had a balcony overlooking the river Arno. On site parking is good and the hotel is just outside the 'traffic limit' zone. We arrived on a Sunday. It is worth noting that many museums and Galleries are closed on Monday, so it is best to pre-book tickets for easy access at your chosen times.
