Free parking, friendly staff, excellent building. Building is an old Italian building with retro furniture and design. Our room had a very nice view of the Arno river with a very nice balcony. Location is close but not in the center.

The Hotel Principe was delightful. The staff and management made every accommodation to make our stay absolutely perfect. The balconies facing the Arno are breathtaking; the staff serve fresh espresso each morning; and the concierge secured dinner reservations for us each day. For the price, you will not find a better hotel or location in Florence--I am confident. The Principe sits right near pricey digs like the St. Regis and Westin Excelsior, offering an excellent location but a much more authentic and boutique feel. I was surprised and impressed and would highly recommend this hotel. Did I mention they bring fresh flowers each day?

It is a very nice, well designed, comfortable room with good view of the river. In addtion, very friendly and helpful staffs. It is a bit far and difficult from the train station, Santa MariaNovella if we have to walk with big suitcase. We did take a taxi to the hotel and back. If we carry only small bag, it would be fine.

The staff was so friendly and accomodating. They went above and beyond to serve us. Being in a foreign country is streessul, but they were so helpful and made us feel comfortable. The toom was comfortable and beautiful with such a gorgeous view from our balcony. This hotel was recommended to us by our relative and we were not disappointed

Fabulous location close to railway station and within walking distance of all the main attractions this lovely city has to offer. We stayed in room 42 on the fourth floor, which had it's own private terrace with table and chairs overlooking the River Arno. The terrace has full sun all day (we stayed at the beginning of April, so the temperature was just nice, not too hot) and it was great to have some outside space in which to relax and enjoy the views and weather when your feet are tired from walking. The staff were very friendly and helpful and even supplied us with a charger for our phone as we had brought the wrong adaptor. If you like things sleek and modern, then this is not the hotel for you but if you like authentic, old style Italian charm, you will love this place. We will definitely be going back.

Location was good, very easy walk to centre of the city. Staff was polite and helpful. We didn't like cigarette smoke all through the hotel. Breakfast was very poor. We were given old bread one morning. There was mould in the bathroom. No English TV channels.

The setting on the river Arno and the back garden were lovely. But you are staying in a piece of history, an old palazo the staff was wonderful and the setting in the breakfast room was a surprise: table cloths, silver and all the serving pieces you see at a fine restaurant. just do arrive at the end of breakfast, the other guests will have eaten all the tasty rolls! i like to think of this hotel as a grand dame with a little age on her, JUST like me. they even had turn down service at night. The water pressure in the bath was a challenge and the tub was so clean it was very slippery.

The room was beautiful, it overlooked the river and the oppisite bank, watching the sunset either from the room or the roof terrace was breathtaking, with a glass of Chianti, of course. Fantastico.

The staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful that it was a real pleasure to stay there. The continental breakfast was all right, but the to-order omelettes were delicious! The rooms were absolutely adorable! It was pretty expensive and if it wasn't a birthday present to stay there, I (as a 24 year old) wouldn't be able to afford it -- but, I was lucky enough that I had the opportunity to stay at the hotel principe. And if I could again, I would.

Hotel Principe is a former private residence that has maintained a welcoming "homey" feeling. The furnishings are lovely and in keeping with the period of the hotel. Breakfast was wonderful and guests could even request an omelet! I loved parking our car in the garden (at no extra fee) and I especially loved our room directly overlooking the Arno River, but away from all the hectic crowds in the main piazzas. The two gentlemen at the reception desk were truly "gentle men," complete with 3 piece suits and tie. They were attentive without being unctuous. I loved being addressed as "Madame."

The Hotel Principe is a wonderful family run hotel. It's decor is beautiful. The rooms are excellent and there is free wi-fi in your room. Parking is free in the back garden of the hotel, just warn the hotel in advance. Florence is not a big city to get around on foot, so it is stuated in a great location. Ask for Room 44 for a fantastic view over the river, that's where we stayed. Breakfast is a really personable affair in the small dining room. Ask for the omelettes; they are tasty! Everything superb!
