wifi, location, breakfast
Stayed in a spacious triple room on the 3rd full with full sea view. Large bathroom with good shower. Wifi worked well. Breakfast selection was good. Excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend to others.
Great staff. Tony was very helpful and gave us great advises on where to go! Breakfast was delicious, best lemon pie! You can walk down to the beach in 5 minutes if you take the stairs. Coming back up might not be as easy, but that is the case for almost every place in Positano. Amazing hotel, would definitely go back
The staff was incredibly welcoming and helped out with recommendations on where to go and eat. The room was big (by European standards) and the view was incredible!
Location Staff Village
Too hard beds
Location - close to good restaurants. Downside: 300 steps down to beach, but intercity bus takes you every 15 minutes or so.
My girlfriend and I loved being on the central strip, high enough to see the sights from our balcony, low enough to be able to walk down the the beach in 15 minutes. We hit the jackpot on our night of stay, because the town of Positano was celebrating Mary, with parades and fireworks! The room was quite comfy, and had the best shower and bathroom during our two weeks stay in Italy. Just an amazing experience, and the front desk is the jam at making all of your questions, requests, and wishes come true. Hotel Reginella isn't a random Booking.com place. It's a big deal locally, and not only will your ride find this place with ease, if you get a balcony view, which is readily available, you will enjoy a once in a lifetime view! Nothing but props for this hotel, its location, its caring staff, and the great sleep we had! Don't think about the alternatives. If this hotel is in your budget, go for it!
Hotel Reginella is situated in a great location, the view is spectacular, overseeing the sea and the church. Not too far from the beach. The beach does have an entrance fee of approximately $12.00 euro for the beach chair and towel, which is quite common in Italy. Our room was clean, fresh towels and staff were very accommodating. I recommend Hotel Reginella!! Enjoy your stay in Positano.
Our stay at Hotel Reginella was great! The view from the balcony was amazing and we enjoyed having a glass of wine every night overlooking the town of Positano. Tony and his family was gracious hosts and gave us great recommendations for things to see and places to go for dinner. We can't wait to go back with our children!
The beds are way too hard.
wonderful views from the balcony
beds and pillows where terrible. possibly the worst sleep on the whole trip. Positano is an amazing place but the most expensive place I have stayed in Italy.
People Clean Wonderful view Close to shops Restaurants
Loved our top floor balcony room. Great staff. Would stay there again for sure.
Had to pay for parking.
We had a beautiful room well air conditioned and a balancy view which was spectacular. It was a bit of up hill walking to get to the hotel from the beach and waterfront however the view was worth every step. Highly recommend this family run business.
Wonderful views from the room and balcony and friendly atmosphere.
Lots of steps and no lifts but was told that this is typical in Positano
It would be good if you did not have to return the keys to reception and collect them again when you came back.. It was a little old fashioned and reminiscent of when I lived with my parents 15 years ago! Haha. That's my only criticism however. Tony and all the staff were great and I would go back again for sure!
Staff , breakfast, location, cleanliness all exceptional
We were provided with a small folding bed for the third person Friends occupying a single and double we're accommodated with larger rooms
Proximity to the Hub of Positano Just far enough away from the Hub and the constant bustle of people. Short walking distance to quality restaurants in ideal locations with postcard views over the Amalfi Coast
No fridge in the room - needed on extended stays during the warmer season.
great staff! warm, helpful amazing views from top floor! clean, spacious
luggage transport is challenging given location/terrain and the porter costs were a bit unreasonable for smaller bags.
liked location very much, nice interior, bright Mediterranean feeling, friendly breakfast staff, cozy hotel basically! The guy who does the night shift is super sweet!
We showed up late around 22:00 and the balcony was full of ants. There was not much to do at that time of day and no other rooms available but one would expect some kind of a gesture the next day, which never happened. They don't advertise the parking cost in advance which they should, since it's 25 Euros a day. When we went down to ask for wine glasses for the room they were a bit reluctant to give it to us. Overall, we got the feeling that they would charge the guests for anything they could. As nice as they were....
Good location close to city center but up on hill for excellent views of the sea and Positano village. Nice room, high ceiling, comfy bed, perfect high windows opening towards the beauty which is Positano. OK continental breakfast, good way to start your day. Hotel has downstairs a small bar area from where to purchase wine, water, other drinks at reasonable prices.
Only one comment - check out at 10:00 is a little brutal. Worked fine for us since we took the 10:55 ferry to Capri, but we would have slept in the great bed a little longer :). But truthfully, we did not ask for an extension, I suspect the lovely staff would have let us sleep longer.
Great service and staff. The hotel is perfectly located for the best view. The walk to the beach is fantastic and easily reached in a short time. We stayed in the apartment attached to the hotel. This was perfect as it was spacious and option to self cater if wanted. The hotel arranges transfers, taxis and trips if required. Surrounding restaurants also worth visiting not just for the views but for the food. This property is only 2 stars but this should not put anyone off. Probably because there is no pool and some other amenities that make the star rating. Positano is not the place to stay indoors. Luckily this hotel provided a lovely view to wake up to and to unwind before bedtime. Perfect.
I loved the staff. Family run so they actually make you feel welcome.
The bed sheets and the house obstructing our view.
The location and view are amazing. The hotel was perfect for our family of four. The room was large, clean and comfortable.
I wish the hotel staff had been a little more helpful with restaurant recommendations, reservations, directions, etc. but it's a minor complaint because they were friendly overall.
Location, VIEW, service, staff, breakfast, everything was wonderful
