Very good atmosphere, nice location, cosy and comfortable room.
Clean good breakfast the people are very good and very good location!
Room is poor and old
the quiet, the staff and the situation
Spacious room, great location, good breakfast
Not all staff were not helpful, we asked for assistance to book a tour advertised in the hotel, they told us they were too busy and we were made to feel like a nuisance. Considerable amount of cash taken from our room, a timely reminder to lock our suitcases as well as the door.
The location was ideal, view of the Arno from our window, easy 10 minute walk to major sights ( Uffizzi, Pitti Palace, Ponte Vecchio, etc.) and only slightly longer to other sights. We found nearby trattoria that were superb. It is on the "Otrarno" the "other" side of the Arno from the intense tourist crowds so that was great at the end of the day.
The piazza Cestello in front is actually a car-filled public parking lot....not beautiful. The high-priced restaurant outside the front door has some loud talking and music but the windows of our room were well insulated and our sleep was fine.
Proximity to our destination (the restaurant downstairs) convenient parking. View of Arno. Quiet Would stay again
Steep stairs with luggage from street to front desk & no lift were mitigated by very helpful & accommodating staff
Personal family touch
Couldn't enter without ringing bell
Location was great. Room was large and plenty of windows for fresh air. Great bed. Had a bath and shower. Air conditioner was great. Breakfast was adequate.
Lots of noise from adjoining room on the last day due to very rude and inconsiderate people however not the hotels fault. An egg would have made it a good breakfast.
Had room #2 and had beautiful view of Duomo over the river. Very gracious owner. Great breakfast and beautiful view of river and Duomo although all rooms did not have this. Good location, short walk across river and close to everything
Large parking lot and restaurant in front of hotel. Made for noise, congestion and activity at night but nothing to keep you from sleeping or wanting to go there again
It's a pleasant litlle hotel, in a really nice part of Firenze with interesting restaurants, bars and very close the center. They have an arrangement with a garage so we didn't have to worry about it (there is also a parking in front of a hotel, free from 8 pm to 8 am). Breakfast was good.
Beautiful breakfast room, with adequate breakfast. Lovely service.....
All fine....just difficult to initially find......
Location is perfect, staff is very helpful and friendly, rooms are clean
A little noisy, in the room next to me people where talking until late and you could hear it very well trough the walls
Good breakfast, friendly people, good location
I had been in 2 hotels in Italy prior to this one; one in Rome and the other in Pienza. Both were lovely experiences. That was not the case here - my shower was so small, I literally had to keep one foot one the floor outside to avoid soaking my head, the shower had black mold on the bottom, the beds were very old and sloped down and when I asked for another pillow to prop up the side I was told only 3 pillows for 2 people. The continental breakfast was the cheapest of all 3 hotels and was served juice in plastic cups. The magazines in lobby were all from 2012..very strange. It wasn't a nice environment. The next day my friend's 16 year old daughter (who was in another room) showed me her insect bites and said the hotel said it was mosquitoes, but she was afraid they were bedbugs. Not a good choice for a stay.
Great location, friendly staff. Felt more like a b & b than a hotel. Would definitely stay here again.
Close to centre - nice view of the river - short cab ride to train station
Shower could use an update
(+) close to city
(-) bad value for money (-) tiny room (-) really poor breakfast
I liked that it was on the other side of the river and away from the crowds. Easy walking g distance to everything and in a cute area. Staff were great. Good value in Florence for an inexpensive room with clean, modern private bathroom and wifi. I would stay there again.
No elevator, but they will help with everything.
we were very happy with size of room, cleanliness and the overall hospitality of everyone we interacted with. Location is good - just over the river, near two bridges that facilitate easy access to the "heart" of the city.
Excellent service, spacious room & perfect location.
No smoking area or balcony. Have to smoke on the street - bit of a mission but non-smokers will obviously love it.
Very friendly and well located small hotel. This is our second visit and will definitely stay again
Size of the room. Location exceptionel. Marco, the Owner great host. Good restaurant all around.
Stairs but it's a good excercise and beside it's just one storey building.
Very nice location at walking distance from the center, very nice and cosy place
Friendliness and helpfulness. Centralness and view.
