Hotel Poiano  

The hotel is a big resort very well maintained . large rooms.very clean rexelent velue fo$

Location was excellent as you could see the mountains and the lake. The pool was huge - really amazing. The playgrounds were a huge hit and it was good they offered different sports - my husband tried archery. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and really good. The main hit though was the absolutely stunning location.

The only annoying thing was that the pool shut at 7pm (and only opened at 8.30am) - also the gym only opened 9.30am - 12.30pm and then again in the afternoon shutting at 7pm. As we were only there one night we were sightseeing in the day so I didn't use the gym and pool as much as I would have liked.

Nice hotel. Asked for a room with a view due to a landmark birthday but no explanation given as to why we didn't get it. Not clear from the booking what constituted a lake view or not. Fantastic view from the hotel from the restaurant/breakfast area over Lake Garda with a free local bus service or a short'ish 25 minute walk into Garda. Swimming pool is excellent and so large that there was never a problem getting a bed even with the customary abandoned towels strategically placed and the owner never to be seen. Only ate in the restaurant once but the prices appeared reasonable and overall all the prices including drinks were about average. So if you are restricted to the hotel it is good, although during the day only the pool bar was open. Breakfast was excellent though. I'd definately go there again but probably stay in the apartments as they appear to be cheaper and probably larger with a lake view. .

The tennis courts are very nice [red clay] but when you are paying a slightly increased price for the hotel you would expect them to be free and not 12 euro's per hour and then be expected to sweep them after, which I thought was a cheek. Tennis lessons not cheap either. The end result was that the courts are hardly used, what a waste.

I can tell you whAt I didn't like, a room in from af the elevator that keep our baby up most of the night, moved to a different room with 2 single beds so again when the baby came to bed with us which most kids do, felt in the gap, 2 single beds doesn't equal a double bed. A very small shower not room to even bend, and a travel cot big enough for a month old baby not a 1 year old. Very dissapointed hotel over all.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The shuttle service to Garda town is about 10minute walk from hotel. Also some of the rooms are quite a long walk away from the reception (7 mins uphill) they do have a buggy service that can take u to your room

Nice rooms and nice facilities.

The animation on the pool was very annoying. For two days very loud dance floor (!) music was played all the time on the pool even during the animation free time, so we stopped going topool. Bizarre for a hotel that is visited mostly by young families.

Big suite, very nice location.

The food at the bar was quite bad.

Hi This is a beautiful resort with a stunning view of the lake from the swimming area.It also has one of the biggest pools I have ever seen.. There is a shuttle buto take you to town but it stops early. If you were less than abled bodied then this place is not for you. We would certainly go back its beautiful.Eliz Bryce

The only negative thing is the distance from town, we did walk but it is quite a distance.

I liked the friendly & helpful staff- I liked the situation of the hotel - fabulous views of the lake & mountains. Beautifully kept grounds.
