The Royal Continental is right on Naples' seafront promenade, in a quiet neighborhood. It features a stunning rooftop pool, with panoramic views out over the Bay of Naples and Castel dell'Ovo.

The Hotel Naples is in Naples historic center, along one of the most important roads, Corso Umberto I. It has rooms with air conditioning and a minibar. Guests have free Wi-Fi access in the hotel.
Score from 560 reviews Very good
Location by the ocean, restaurants and in quiet street.
The airco kept turning itself off and on with such noise that it kept waking us up. We had to turn it off to sleep, but the street was (even though quiet for Naples) still too noisy to sleep with window open. The water in the shower kept going cold and then scolding hot again, so not very comfortable.
The hotel is generously staffed so that there is always somebody available to respond to guests' needs and desires. It is removed from the city centre, an advantage if one is looking for tranquility and proximity to the Bay of Naples. There is a bus stop a short distance from the hotel and with the help of the free Gira Napoli for Android smartphones it is possible easily to reach all destinations in Naples by public transit.
The automatic coffee machine seemed to be a mystery to all guests, including me.
Just yards from the Bay of Naples. Extremely helpful & friendly staff. Very thorough cleaning of the rooms. Left cases on last day & was able to use a room to change before getting flight home.
everything: staff, room, breakfast, location
friendly and helpful staff, rooms, location. Perfect place to stay in Naples close to most things worth seeing. Also a lovely building, very much enjoyed everything about Naples, it is a must see while in Italy
nothing to fault
Location and price Towels replaced daily without requesting Good local restaurants recommended by reception staff. Nice rooms for the money and comfortable beds. An interestingly individual small hotel.
Air con noisy and not efficient. Poor coffee and no fruit at breakfast. Toiletries( although promised in publicity) very minimal and not automatically replenished.
Very good value good location, some staff excellent alway trying to help, some staff less helpful but ok do not let that put you off
Not much really, breakfast poor, and some things ran out but no problem
Good location. In the cleaner part of town. Buffet breakfast was adequate & much better than other 3 star hotels we stayed I during our visit to Italy.
Local restaurants rather poor - two restaurants served awful pizzas - in the home of the pizza? very disappointing. Naples is litter strewn and with chaotic traffic.
The hotel is generously staffed and is able to respond promptly to all requests and needs. The location is removed from the historical centre of Naples. That is an advantage for those seeking tranquility. The decor is attractive in an intentionally subdued way. Those desiring a more central location and more vibrant decor should stay at the chain's Hotel Correra 241, where I spent one night and to which I would also give a very high rating.
Given the poor quality of public transit in Naples, the location of the hotel was initially a problem. But then I discovered the free Gira Napoli for my Android mobile phone and thereafter I could easily reach any destination in Naples from the hotel by public transit.
I picked this hotel for the location as I wanted to be near the water and out of the hustle bustle of Naples. BUT that meant that we had a long trek to whatever sightseeing that we wanted to do. The room itself was typically small, but the public space was large and welcoming. Reception handled all our requests without a problem. Breakfast was very good. We had a problem with the air conditioner, but staff tried diligently to get it working… My cousin’s wallet was stolen on a bus and the hotel staff was very sympathetic and helpful.
There was an air traffice controllers strike the day of my travel to Naples. I emailed the hotel to let them know I would be arriving later than expected and to let my cousin (who was arriving earlier) know, so she would not be worried. Well, she was worried. No one gave her the message.
The staff were helpful, the location was good. Breakfast was good each day
The hotel does not have a lift and although we only had to go up one floor a lift helps older travellers such as us. The staff did take our luggage up
The location very near the port and bay. Comfortable bed.
Breakfast was poor coffee lukewarm and poor range of breakfast items.
Room smelled bad Wifi didn't work Poor breakfast
The staff were very good and location for the value was excellent
Location is great for getting to boats to Capri and water's edge.
It was very difficult to catch the bus there, contrary to other reviews. We had some wonderful staff, but also some very rude, which was not really expected.
Stuff cleanliness Breakfast
Noise from the street ground floor shabby
Location, clean, aircon, restaurants nearby, helpful staff
The door locks were a bit kn the dodgey side - could have been better - need updating
Good location Good reception staff Clean
Poor breakfast especially coffee Small showers Noise at night No safe in our room
Location is perfect; staff is very helpful and ready to provide you with a valuable advice regarding visiting around the city and a city map; new very comfortable mattresses; clean bed linens and towels being changed daily; nice room and hotel design; rooms are renovated and equipped with enough of sockets, a lot of little furniture and a comfortable cupboard to order your stuff, there are also individual lamps for night readers aside of each bed. Breakfast is copious (fruits, yogurts, cheese&ham, various baking, muesli etc,) though as far as I understood it depends on the shift that serves (one day we were served not by the usual shift and breakfast was quite poor). Tea lovers may be disappointed as choice is weak and hot water is actually lukewarm.
Isolation from outside is weak, so almost each night you become a witness of Napoli garbage collection. But as far as I understood this is a problem of all the city districts. Noisy and old condition system actually helps to dilute the outside noise.
great location, room, and staff, breakfast great; best value for money in Naples
nice friendly and helpfull stuff specially : Marco and Diego
We liked the hotel and staff, also being Lungomare with many good restaurants to choose from. Our only problem was our bathroom which had a strong sewer smell because it wasn't properly ventilated. So we would hold our noses and stay out of it. This lessened the comfort level. The room itself was fine with comfortable beds.Wait staff seemed a bit stingy with cappuccinos at breakfast you felt like you wouldn't dare order a second coffee. In comparison, at our hotel in Rome you were invited to a second (and if you wanted even a third) coffee and felt at ease. Solution: hotel Rex should make the rules regarding breakfast clear at the start this would lessen the confusion for travellers.
Location and one girl in reception
All remaining men's in reception very bad with me
Location is fantastic!!!!
Breakfast could have a little more variety but was reasonable.
