Rex Lifestyle Hotel    

- excellent area by the seafront (good restaurants in nearby Via SantaLucia,especially 'Basilico'),and 8 mins walk up to Piazza Del Plebiscito- but not close to railway station if one wanted to do trips to Pompeii etc - good, clean (medium sized) room with good bathroom facilities

rooms were nice size the only cramped space was the shower but we could deal with it. AC, large bed plenty of room in the bedroom. Breakfast was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was great for getting to the city center and for walking along the sea. Just an all around good place to stay in Naples.

Room prices were reasonable but the parking was very expensive.

The price was fantastic. It was close to the sea front for lovely walks in the evening. It was also a ten minute walk to the ferries to capri etc. It was a great base to see Naples and surrounding areas. The room was very clean. We met an older man on reception who was very helpful and gave us an excellent recommendation in a trattoria on an adjacent street.

Everything was fine. For the price really you couldn't complain.

Location and Price. Within walking distance to shopping, historic castles, coast and historic Naples. Stayed on 2 sep. occasions. Room with a partial view of sea was smaller, and view without a view was larger and could accommodate 2 more people. Great value and service.

Location just off the waterfront, great neighbourhood with good restaurants. Room was well-sized for 3 of us, all facilities fine, reasonable breakfast.

Choice at Breakfast could be better, especially fruit juice and no fresh fruit at all! Noise at Reception as early as 7am...no one speaks quietly.

The breakfast is sooooooo delicious. It situates in the center of city and is very convenient to get to the sightseeings.

Small and clean and smoothly run by helpful staff.

Noise from street outside overnight, notably from the bogus car park man, made it difficult to sleep.

Staff were helpful, polite and not intrusive. Breakfast was good with more than adequate choice

Lighting in bathrooms was too low and therefore depressing. Noisier at night, from street noise, than I would have preferred

We liked the location as we were close enough to good restaurants and the port. The room was good and very clean. The hotel is a lovely building with a nice sunny breakfast bar. it is a good base from which to explore Naples.

Sadly we encountered abrupt unfriendly staff apart from the guy who carried our bags up to our room!!

Breakfast is included but it is not varied, usually attended by one person only and you have to always keep asking the staff to get you coffee, etc

Non of the rooms have a sea view, so little point paying extra for a sea view that you need to hang out of the window to sea!!

It was in a safe neighborhood, great access to walk the road along the sea, it was very clean and the staff were very helpful and nice.

Bathroom was small, but typical of Italy.

It was the hottest, most noisy room I have ever stayed in. The breakfast was not worth going downstairs for. When we asked for directions to catch a bus to the train station the staff gave us incorrect directions. I would not recommend staying at the Rex unless you get it at a very cheap price

The staff were friendly. The room was very clean, quiet, with good TV etc. I liked the breakfast room. The location was really good - right near the sea but also near the centre, it felt very safe and peaceful.

Rex hotel has a very good location. As you are not in the centre of the city, this quiet zone is a good place to rest. You would be 1min walking to the main avenue just next to the sea (with lots of restaurants and bars). In 15min you can reach the port, where several ferry go to Capri, Ischia and Sorrento. Decoration is nice and room size was good. The price was adequate.

In the morning, there is some unneeded noise of the room cleaning. The waiters start their job very soon (~8 A.M.). The breakfast needs improvement: for a 3 star hotel I would expect cheese, ham and fresh bread, which clearly was not the case.

Because of Naples reputation as not being one of the safest cities to visit, location was important for us. Rex Hotel is a 3 star hotel in a 4 star location, Santa Lucia. We felt very safe in this area and were still walking distance to the city sights. The 4 lane road that runs alongside the harbour edge has been closed to traffic and it has not become an area for walkers, runners, families, bikes, giving it a nice holiday feel. Excellent value for money. Front desk staff were very helpful and spoke good english.

Only downside is one night the cafe on the corner setup a dj outside with speakers - they were not very considerate neighbours to the many hotels in this area.

Privileged localization. NEarby hotels are extremely expensive comparing to this one. 500 m from castel.del'ovo and all the naples bay

The breakfast is weak when analyzing the quality of the hotel. Some fruit and less cakes/sweets should be introduced
