Hotel Ristorante Tre Leoni  

The location is excellent: near the Malpensa airport and 400 metres from the train station of Somma Lombardo.

The shuttle bus is not free (13 euros).

All of a sudden when we were leaving very early in the morning there was a charge for the shuttle to the airport. This was especially interesting considering there was no charge for the shuttle from the airport to the hotel and the charge was not mentioned when we booked the shuttle. It was actually more much more expensive to get from the hotel to the airport than it was to get from Milan to the airport the previous day. There are plenty of other hotels in the area that offer free shuttle transport and are not looking to add surprise charges on to tourists. Also they were very very pushy about us eating in the hotel restaurant rather than going out to eat.

We came to the hotel, and was placed far from the city. There was no water,no kitchen and nothing to do. We should walk very long way to get some water. We are a family with children and could not stay at the hotel, therefore we were placed far away. Nothing is mentioned on the homepage about this. We have to pay separately for the airport transfer, which was included - be aware of this. Also at the frontdisk they couldt speak english, and looked at us, like we were from another planet. The room was dirty - we will never come back to this place;-((

The Staff was effective and gentle. The breakfast was rich comparing other hotels of the same level. We found the resturant very useful for supper.

The apartment that we got was in a different building, about 2.5Km from the hotel building. It make you feel "lonely". We had a car and one of the staff accompanied us to show us the location of the building, but in the morning wel needed a navigator device (GPS) to fined our way back to the hotel for breafast and cheack out.

Shower is too small. Location was almost a mile away from main location where breakfast is served.

Hotel's location suited us well, has on site parking, I advised I required parking in my booking, they went out of there way to assist us with our parking spot.

We stayed at Tre Leoni because it was close to the Milan (Malpensa) airport and we were leaving in a couple of days and they would drive us to the airport and also because it was close to the train station so we could go to Milan for a day. It was so much more than we expected, the train station was just up the street and we also went to Stresa on Lago Maggiore which turned out to be the highlight of our trip. The food at Tre Leoni was so great that we ate there every night for three nights. The room was basic but the staff was great. We definetly would return and plan to next year.

The people at the desk were exceptionally friendly and helpful and they spoke excellent English. It was located near Malpensa airport and so was very convenient for my early morning flight, and they provide reliable shuttle service (for a reasonable fee). It also was located within walking distance of the train station, which made getting to the hotel from Milan easy and inexpensive.

The lightbulb was burned out in the hallway outside my room and so it was very difficult (and a bit scary) finding my way to my rom dorr and opening the door with a key. When I mentioned this, the man at the desk said there was nobody on the premises with the ability to change the bulb. I did not believe this and suspected that perhaps the problem was more complicated and they have simply chosen not to repair it. Also, the shuttle bus wreaked of cigarette smoke!

The staff were friendly and helpful.I left a bag at the airport and the hotel shuttle driver drove us back to the airport and assist us to retrieve the bag from the airport police officer without any complaints.He was very patient and helpful.The family room was spacious and very clean.
