Location in City was excellent. Staff was friendly. Good value for money.
Shower had no cabin, just a shower curtain which was dreadful because that resulted in a constantly wet floor. Breakfast was good although breakfast room was too small to accommodate all guests, there were sometimes queues which made me feel rushed and uncomfortable at breakfast.
location was decent, walking distance from the main attractions
Our A/C was making a loud, blaring noise which I noticed as soon as we checked in. I requested the hotel staff to change our rooms or fix the A/C, he assured me that this will be done when we return at night. Also, I had requested a queen bed (common sense, we are a couple) Instead, we got two single beds stacked together. I even stressed on the fact that we had just done a long road trip of 6 hours, and were very tired and needed to sleep properly for our full day tour of Florence the next day. When we came back, the A/C was still the same. At that point there was a new gentleman working, who I explained the situation to again and in a very rude, condescending tone he flat out told me 'I'm sorry but I can't do anything about it.' I found that so hard to believe, that he couldn't even change our room or atleast humor me and pretend to do something about it. I requested him to check again and he gave me the same response, and this time he raised his voice. Since he was being so boisterous, my husband intervened and tried to diffuse the situation and said we had already spoken to the manager earlier in the day and asked him to check for new room. His only solution to the problem was “Sleep without an A/C, people always do” and moreover “Go to another hotel.” He was beyond rude, disrespectful and spoke to us as if we were living for free!!! Forget talking to customers, you don’t talk to people like that! By the way, this was 1 AM at night and my husband and I were exhausted. By then we gave up and retired to our room in hopes to talk to a more reasonable person in the morning. We had a full day tour booked and needless to say, we were sleepy and groggy in the morning. We spoke to the manager in the morning and expressed our frustration, she sympathized since clearly no one deserves to be spoken like that. She assured us our room will be changed or our A/C will be fixed. We returned to the same room and the same A/C.
Staff provide very useful information for our traveler, thanks !
Friendly and extremely helpful staff.
Staff are vert helpful
The hotel is close to Ponte Vecchio but the price is too high for the old rooms and poor service they provide
This is a 2 stars hotel charging as if it was 4 stars! The rooms are old and have no frigobar, the beds are small, the WiFi signal is weak and beaks off from time to time, the breakfast is quite poor, and it is common to find nobody in the reception
The hotel was nicely located and they changed me to better room after 1st night. Staff was very friendly and helpful.Room was cleaned well every day.
It was guite expensive comparing to level. This hotel needs rennovations.Lack of internet connection in the room and Wifi in the lobby did not always work.
The location is almost perfect, it is directly on the bank of Arno, and you can reach walking the majority of the main points of interest of Firenze. We arrived by car. The public parking possibilities are terrible. The valet parking offered by the hotel is a great solution, though I found it a bit expensive. But it worked well. The breakfast is fair. We had a very nice romantic balcony with beautiful view at the city. The air-condition in the room was useful. The staff was great and helpful. The price seemed reasonable in Firenze.
The hotel seemed to be a bit worn-out. The lift and the corridors on the floors were very narrow and due to the lack of ventilation they were hot. The wi-fi was available in the lobby only. For the valet parking we had to pay in cash. I think this hotel, though it is very nice, is not really a 4* hotel in international terms.
Hotel has good location and staff was helpful.
This is not a 4 star hotel, guy at reception had dirty nails, room very basic with old furniture and dated fittings, staff has let a pigeon into the room so I had to ask the guy in reception to come and get it out, and just noticed that the bird has left some bird shit on the table etc, so could not put anything on the table on the last night, for what it is is over priced.
The staff (wasnt able to get their names) especially the day or morning staff were really exemplary in terms of customer service. Very helpful in providing tips and other information about Florence. The one in charge of the front desk during the mornings/day (we stayed May 19- 23) even helped me talked to the tour operator to have us picked up from hotel. Rooms are spacious and the view from our window whihc is actually a park, tennis court and I can also see a church steeple is quite charming. Room design and feel espcially the bathroom is quite old but very clean and lends a special charm. Location is next to Arno river so a bit of walk to the historical attraction around the area. But note that walking around Florence historical area is actually a very pleasant and part of the whole unique experience. Overall, really comfortable and pleasant
Pillows quite flat. Bathroom quite old design and style (the sink drips).
Dirty rooms with no internet, very bad breakfast
Great room for the family. Excellent location
The beds were not the most comfortable I have slept on.
The friendlyness of the staff, they could not do enough for us, even complaining on our behalf when we were overcharged a taxi fare from a rogue taxi driver. Brilliant 9 night stay, would definitely recommend.
Large bedroom. Near to centre. Balcony overlooking the river. Decent breakfast. Staff were very helpful.
Hotel is old and tired. Typical of a city centre hotel I suppose. Bedroom was clean but bathroom needs new shower doors and grouting. Just a little bit more effort would make a big difference. But I suppose with so many visitors it's not necessary to do that bit more because there will always be fresh visitors arriving. Pity.
Wifi in rooms was not working.
Location, set close to the most beautiful places in town. The staff were very helpful, really nice People.
No Wifi in the room
Rooms were clean.
I would not rate this hotel 4 stars. Facility needs some work.
There was no doorknob on the inside of the door, so it was rather hard to open the door once closed. The window was only very difficult to open. The room and the overall hotel was really old. Lowcost breakfast. I can not recommand this hotel
Location and the window for the river Arno. Excellent! The girl at the reception...excellente, more than excellent and also the camariere at the breakfast. The girl in the reception help us a lot, with everything.
No internet in the bedroom, only in the lobby. the bathroom floor was broken.
Friendly and helpful staff, breakfast included, location on the river and short walk to the historic centre.
The breakfast is really poor for 4*. The entire hotel should be refurbished at a certain point.
the Hotel is old, the doors rotten, the Windows draughty, but I stayed in a very friendly place 3 minutes walk from Santa Croce, had a view on Arno-river and Piazza Michelangelo and as it is italy enjoyed a good breakfast for 35€ a night which is the Price of hostelbed in dormitory in Florence...
always the same: you arrive as a woman travelling alone and they give you a lumber-room with a view on dustbin and courtyard and you have to argue to get what you have booked. anyway - when they changed my room, it was nice
We received a good and warm welcome from the staff at our arrival. The receptionist explained us at once how they could help us with our car and by booking tickets for the Uffizi museum. Great value for money! We got a nice room with a small balcony facing the Arno river. The breakfast was good with a wide range of choices of sweet and savory food. The reception offers a free baggage deposit in case you want to spend more time in Florence after your check-out.
No wifi in the rooms and the bathroom is quite outdated.
facilities very old the room was not cleaned well
