Best Western Hotel Rivoli    

Excellent hotel situated in a great location. All the major sights, shopping, and excellent restaurants were within walking distance. Hotel had spacious beds, wonderful bedding, and your choice of pillows! We had a lovely terrace off our room looking over the pool and lovely gardens. It was so peaceful and quiet while being in the heart of Florence and close to a busy street. We would go back there in a hearbeat and will definitely recommend it to friends and family.

the staff is really excellent; location-wise the hotel is very close to all major sights on foot; breakfast is substantial; the rooms are spacious and light; beds are comfortable; the inner garden is great to relax in

the street in which the hotel is looks very shabby; there was no mosquito net on our window making our nights a bit exciting; there is no kettle in the room

The male receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Hotel decoration was nice and the room furniture was well maintained

Bed was very uncomfortable. Breakfast seating area was a little small and omlette is not included (extra 5 euros). The room cleaning was not very good as the TV table was not cleaned properly and the tissue & tissue rolls were not replenished

It was very near the station and had large rooms. The staff was very professional and the breakfast buffet had a good selection.

Some things in the rooms were a bit old and worn. The towels, especially, were faded and frayed.

Everything was just about average with the hotel.

Its an old hotel with very old and tired looking interior and decor. We found it a pretty average hotel which was slightly overpriced for its quality. The location was good in the sense its very close to the central train station but it wasnt an interesting location. The real issue is that the tripadvisor ratimgs and the price they charge set your expectations for something great but when you finally arrive it isnt close.

The hotel & staff were both charming....the location could not gave been better. The breakfast was excellent....the coffee was heavenly. My daughter & I had dinner at the hotel restaurant one night & that too was excellent along w.a superb wait staff. My room was impeccably clean & the bed made up very nicely every day.

My single room was quite small & stuffy...I have no problem keeping a window open....prefer it to air conditioning...but was unable to do so because of the street noise- which was quite unbearable. The shower stall was also quite small & I'm not sure a larger person would be able to shower comfortably. I don't think all the rooms would have had the noise poblems.... & wished I had aked to be moved...but the first night I got there I had been traveling for 30 hours & passed out from exhaustion,,,so it wasn't until the second night that I realized the room had these issues.

For the whirpool hot tub, opening time should be longer, e.g. 11 am - 10 pm in the summer.

Enjoyed everything about the hotel. Includes fantastic breakfast. Excellent location for trains, buses and tours that we went on.

The location is excellent being close to the train and bus stations, also practically on the Piazza Santa Maria Novello which is very central. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and spotless and was kept that way every day with fresh linen. Going down to breakfast each morning was a pleasure due to a wide choice of food at the buffet.and the cheerfulness of the staff.

Because we are English speaking we found the satellite TV really only catered for Ihe Italian nation, even though there were many Americans and British staying at the hotel. CNN News and BBC World News are not the best of channels and it would have been good to have at least one entertainment programme in English or even English sub titles. We came back to the hotel having spent most of the day sightseeing all the wonderful attractions of Florence and after a meal, we just wanted to retire to our room and rest. So some light viewing would have been lovely.

I stayed for 1 week with my daughter who was entering the European University..We are from us so this hotel felt comparable to us except smaller bedroom. All staff were very helpful and very friendly. A nice breakfast was included with our room rate, and their wait staff was exceptional.

Good Location (Near by Station within 5min) Room is clean and enough space. Good garden. good breakfast.

The room was extremely comfortable, with a large bathroom and a separate sitting area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Close to the train station. Easy walk to all the tourist attractions.

The room was wonderful: the ceiling were about 4 metres high, large windows, the entire floor was covered with soft carpet. Good breakfast, it's also possible to have breakfast on the nice outdoor terrace during summer. There is also a small swimming pool and jakuzzi, but unfortunately we didn't have time for it.

There were no slippers in the room

Customer service exceptional, staff went out of their way to meet all needs. Breakfast was enormous
