Hotel Kinzica is set in an imposing villa of the mid 18th century, within walking distance of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. All rooms have air conditioning and satellite TV.
Score from 570 reviews Good
Large room, wide bad, excellent bathroom equipment, plenty of light and mirrows. Level much higher as 2 stars. Lack of elevator, but receptionists are ready to help with luggage. Impossible to sleep with open windows, very noisy the whole night (but there is airconditioning).
No glasses (to drink or to put toothbrushes).
Location to stations
We were bothered by flies (mossies) inside and outside hotel until we applied insect repellant. Had to pay. 2e per hour for wifi even though we stayed 9 nights
Very close to Pisa Central Station and an easy walk to old town. Good value for money - budget hotel.
No WiFi - hotel a little dated
The location could not be beat! Right beside the train ( although you couldn't hear it from the room.) It was great to walk across one street - drop our suitcases at the hotel, then head out to see Pisa. Catching the shuttle to the airport in the morning was also a breeze. I loved the colour of the room!! The bed was comfortable and clean. There was hot water in the shower and the paid wifi had a good strong connection. We would definitely come back!!
There are some interesting "characters" that hang around near the train station - making you not feel as saffe if you're out late at night. - but it's not the hotel's fault.
treble glazed windows kept out any noise from (side) street . Helpful staff.
no lift. Breakfast choice a bit sparse.
wi fi is free for only 1 hour, rooms on 1st floor but with no elevator .
Nice and helpful staff, the hotel is close to the Pisa airport and railway station. The city centre is a 10-minute walk.
The room size and bathroom size
The location was close to the station
The hotel is situated very close to Pisa Centrale.
The staff were unhelpful and the breakfast provided was bland and very basic. Would recommend against staying at this hotel.
fairly cheap room, free wifi, free breakfast
continental breakfast, neighbourhood, bathroom door (I got locked in), lots of mirrors around the room
The hotel's main appeal for us was its proximity to the train station, it is only 100m or so. We arrived for a 1 evening stay and were leaving lunchtime the next day. Though the room was a little small for 5 it was clean and we eventually worked out the aircon. It is a 20-30 minute walk from the main attraction in Pisa, the tower, basilica, etc. but this does give you the chance to walk up through a nice pedestrian shopping area, see the river, etc. The following morning we took a 5 seat taxi from the train station to the tower/basilica area which was cheap and effective in terms of time. If you want to climb the tower make sure you book in advance if possible. Tickets for the basilica and baptistery are more freely available on the day and they are both spectacular inside. Buffet breakfast, good choice, certainly felt satisfied and set up for the day. Overall very happy. Staff helpful and happy to let us leave luggage the next day though it was in an open area. The reception always seemed to have someone around though and it was fine. A number of shops and cafes nearby for essentials.
The area around it does seem a bit rough and ready but it's no more than just the local characters chillin'. We had no problems.
Convenient location, friendly, helpful and unobtrusive staff, decent breakfast options, air conditioning, fridge.
Close to the station so noisy, but unthreatening, late into the evening.
The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was good
We had a carparking lot right outside our window and it opened at 7am in the morning. On the corner across from the hotel was an off licence where the alcoholics would meet and fight each other daily we had to walk out on the road to avoid them.
Excellent family room. Hotel gave us a quiet room as requested on the first floor. Considering the location of the hotel I was amazed it was quiet. We tra elled with a 9 month olx baby and the room suited our needs perfectly. The quality and cleanliness of the room was excellent. Much better than you'd expect from a 2 star.
The bed was very hard. Not my preference. But fine for 1 night.
Reception staff/not very helpful
The breakfast was not always up to date.
Very close to train station. Facilities good..esp air conditioning as it's needed. Pleased to pick this spot
The first appearance of the carpet was scary...but they were very nice. Finding the parking station was a little tricky.
Close to train station and a nice walk from hotel to the museums and the Leaning Tower (just walk straight and eventually turn left, very easy to find). Very friendly and helpful staff staff. Easy walk to the station and across/ underneath it to the airport bus (no need to take the taxi shuttle which apparently goes once every hour).
Lack of AC and the window wouldn't open. No lift but it wasn't such a big problem for me but would be for larger groups. Didn't really appreciate being called after I had fallen asleep just because the person at reception and I had had a short conversation prior to me going to my room (not professional). Was expecting a bit more at the breakfast bar like fruit and juice.
Good location and close to railway and bus stations
Room looked tired and decor was depressing. There were no tea and coffee facilities and not even a glass for water
Situated at Rail Station which was great.
Breakfast included but very basic!!
Walk from the train station, spacious, private bathroom.
smelled a little mildewy, no elevator
Standard of the hotel acceptable only for one night stay.
The saff was nice enough but they dont have a lot to work with.
Worn out threadbare rooms. Matress was all springs. Ground floor window looks directly on to side walk. A horrible noisy screaming child that lives in the hotel. % euro charge for internet. Dodgy neighborhood; prostitutes, heroin addicts etc. Definatly not safe for anyone after dark
Close to train station, walking distance to tourist attractions/shops
