Nice location. 30 min to duomo. Near metro.
Room is very small. Bathroom even smaller.
The staff were interesting, relaxed but helpful enough. The location is very good, on the outskirts of the city centre. There were actually much more places to eat in the area than in the city centre.
Excellent location, price
Very convenient for all aspects of the city. A tram passes by the hotel.
1. It is close to a shopping street and a supermarket. 2. Close to the Metro Station
1. If I just use half of the shampoo/shower gel, they don't change it with a new one. 2. The breakfast is poor. The eggs are always cold. 3. The server is rude. He told me that I chose the cheapest (can't be cancelled) single room, so I must pay by credit card, not by cash, and I need show him the card. I told him this is my colleague's card not mine, it is better to pay cash and it is also what I have done in other hotel the week before (also two weeks later, in a third hotel). And he called a girl in Booking.com, but now I doubt whether she is another server in Roxy Hotel or not. Finally, I told him if it is possible to show him the scan of the card. He asked me to give him the scan within 30min. God! It was mid-night in China. Only after I explained it to him, he let me check in. And he demanded me to send the scan of card to the hotel's e-mail. I don't know if I can call it a criminal, because I think it is not necessary or illogical!!
Very old furniture and the walls are so thin that I could hear everything from the room next door
Everything except no kettle & tea/coffee in the room.
No kettle, coffee and tea inside the room.
Great location. 2 stops with metro to Duomo. For the money we paid it was worth it, nothing more.
We could hear the train from our room. Staff not so friendly when we arrived. took a while for check-in due that he was on the phone for quite a while.
Nice staff Clean rooms Good breakfast Good location Good price Fast WiFi
Cold inside room and bathroom
alles,,it`s in the city, all walking distance
single bed..next time,i will get double bed, eventhough i am alone
The location is perfect, it is really close to metro and center. The breakfast was good. The stuff was helpful and nice
The tram to railway station is a few steeps from the hotel. The underground stop is in a 5 minutes walking and there is only a two stops distance to the Duomo
The room was very noisy, there is a tram line in the same street and windows may be the cheapest they found. The room was really small.
Great price, very clean, and up to date. Located near metro and Central Station
Small area but thats the way Europe Hotels seem to be.
We booked the room in May. They preauthorized the whole amount half year before, because my credit card will be expired in August... It was not easy to cancel this preauthorization. The manager promised me, that they won't preauthorize again before our arrival. That day they did it again. We could not sleep because the tram is under the window, and nobody could sleep all night. There is no ventilation system, and if you close the door to try to sleep you cannot breath.... no oxygen. This was a terrible night! The price of the hotel was too high for this very bad quality.
The location was good and the room was clean.
The only problem we had was that the air conditioner could not be turned below about 23 degrees. This meant our sleep was a little uncomfortable.
bathroom very small
Awful stink coming out of bathroom we didn't even have a shower as it was that bad. I believe it was because there is no fan in so it was caused by mould on the ceiling. Toilet was that small that you had to sit sideways to just fit in. 100 different TV channels and not 1 in English. This is not a 3 star hotel. I would give it 1 star but definitely not 3.
Great location. Only a 10 min walk from the train station. Fresh fruit stand at the base of the hotel. Easy access to the water taxis. Some great restaurants by. Breakfast was quite good.
Wifi in the rooms could be better. Good luck if u have an iphone 5. Router is in the next building so if need to research something do it next door. People complained about the tight space but the deluxe room had ample space.
The hotel was comfortable, easy to find, well located with tram service direct to city centre and Duomo. Short taxi drive from main station and generally provided good value for money. Many dining options nearby but ask hotel staff what you are after. Also a seedy Chinese massage nearby for those who are interested.
Milan in general doesnt have a lot to offer tourists other than il Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emmanuele. Only good for shopping but relatively expensive.
Reception staff very helpful, okay location, clean and friendly hotel good base for sightseeing
Room very small for two people, wifi connection poor
We needed a bed for 1 night in Milan, close enough to the city centre to enable us to see it briefly. And we didn't want to pay the prices on offer from city centre hotels. The immediate vicinity felt safe. Our bed was comfortable and everything in the room worked. the man on reception was helpful in giving us advice. Breakfast was plentiful.
It is not on a quiet street. The noisy trams rattled & squeeked under our window from approx. 6am.. Most rooms are on the front, so this would also apply to them.
Reception staff very helpful. Breakfast adequate and staff efficient. Beds comfortable. Reasonably convenient for nearest metro and tram stops.
Not enough storage for clothes if staying for 3 consecutive nights. Not enough suitable hangers. Shower compartment very small and doors did not fit properly and so water leaked over the floor making it slippery.
We got to leave, which I suppose is positive.
The toilet was blocked in our first room and overflowing with previous residents excrement. In our second room it was loud and on top of the subway/next to old trams.
no problems finding the hotel clean helpful staff
a bit noisy neighbours (this is not hotels fault, but wall could probably be thicker) tubes sticking out of bathroom ceiling (no big deal, but looked weird)
Very comfortable bed, very welcoming staff, continental breakfast had a very good variety. The room was large, had wifi and was very pleasant all round. Another bonus was their secure luggage room for before or after checking in so you can roam around Milan freely. Close to very nice restaurants too.
Tram noise in the front rooms of the hotel was the only downside I found here. The windows cancelled a lot of it out but was still audible.
