They upgraded my single bed to a double with a balcony overlooking the grand canal for free! Great place for a great price!

The water taxi was only about three stops from the main train station. The hotel was difficult to find. It wasn't easy when traveling with luggage. Breakfast was not very good. Pastries were not fresh, coffee and juice were very bad. The air conditioning wasn't working in our room and it was very hot at night. If you have big suitcases, then be prepared to walk up many many steep stairs as there is no lift in this hotel. The price seemed high for what you got.

Close to all sights but far enough away to get away from all the hustle and bustle. Our room was quite small but the two others in our party had much bigger rooms.

I love this place. I've stayed there twice, and it has been fabulous both times. Friendly, attentive staff, great breakfast, prime location on Grand Canal (can arrive by water taxi right to front door), yet tucked away from touristy noise, etc. in a nice neighborhood. The decor is superb, elegant without being ostentatious, and it is a great value to boot. The beds in the single rooms are a touch small if you're over 6'.

I love the location: the fact that it is on the Grand Canal but secluded and accessed via a labyrinth of small passages. I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last 20 years. It has changed recently, and lost its charm. Some modernisation may have been necessary but the breakfast room now has stainless steel everywhere and machines for dispensing various things that are totally out of character.

The hotel was great! The location was perfect; right in the city within a 5-10 minute walk of the Rialto Bridge and 5 minute from a water-bus stop. The room was clean and well maintained with lots of room to spread out. The bed was a little hard, but pretty much what I expect from most European beds. The breakfast was very nice and had plenty to get any traveler set for a day of walking and sight seeing. I would definitely come back again and most certainly recommend it to other travelers!

Beautiful and tastefully decorated rooms. From the water bus, you have to push your luggage around a bit but otherwise an excellent hotel. You really do get the Venetian experience with this hotel.

Old style elegance, location on Grand Canal, staff friendliness. It is expensive; there are not tea/coffee making facilities, very little guest information. Erratic heating.

Satisfying breakfast and free ride to Murano island. The room we were given was tiny with a really low ceiling and a small window at the level of the water. Also there were two doors one after the other in order to open it. It made you feel like locked in a cell. Really this room shouldn't be given out to clients at all. The staff were kind enough to change us to a better one after we asked though.

Great location, great terrace on the Gran Canal, nice staff Very small room, smelling of cold tabacco. The room was just next to the breakfast kitchen and therefore very noisy from early on in the morning...

I didn't like at all.it was a such mistake that I choose this hotel. This hotel is with 4 stars but it didnt look like.everything was improvisation, the room smelt dirty old,the bathroom was real disaster. The price is not propriet with the category of the hotel. To get to the hotel you must go in the lavirint. All in all real mistake if you choose this hotel.

It location is excellent regarding the grand canal. The water bus is very near to it so you can have a nice trip throught the canal easily. The breakfast is very good. It is good value of money It hard to go up and down the bridges with your Luggage from the water bus station to the hotel. It is hard to find it. so more detailed map should be added from the water bus station rto each there. The water bus station name should be added also (Station name: Saint Stae, with water bus number 1). The single room is some how small.

The location with views from some rooms and the bar and breakfast room over the Grand Canal was excellent. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly. The design is typical for the area which is exactly what we wanted.

We loved our stay at the hotel! It was so nice to be right on the Grand Canal and have a glass of wine on the little deck after a full day of sightseeing. We really enjoyed staying in a hotel that was walking distance to all of the sights of Venice but away from the crowds. We would definitely stay here again!

Having breakfast on the balcony with a magnificent view to the Grand Canal was by far the best experience at the hotel. The staff was helpful and attentive, and the room was impeccable. Although the room technically had a view to the Grand Canal, it was from a sideways window and one had to reach out to see it. That was a little over-advertised.

The most wonderful part of our stay here was that our bedroom window overlooked the Grand Canal. It was fascinating watching Venice come to life and to see just how this amazing city works without roads. The only thing that I can think of is that there was no lift. We did know of this in advance, so were not surprised. The beautiful room and view made up for it though.

Our room overlooked the Grand Canal and it was very interesting to watch all the comings and goings of the water traffic. The room was pleasantly decorated and the furnishings fitted the period of the hotel. The breakfasts were good with plenty of choice. There was nothing that I disliked about the hotel.
