Convenient location There was a narrow long staircase you have to climb before reaching the hotel frontdesk. Its no joke especially if you have heavy luggage. No elevator. No porters.

The hotel location next to St Marco is excellent. It's an aging budget hotel in an old building, but clean, staff are friendly and helpful & it's good value in Venice. The stairs aren't as bad as others said & it's easy to find, directly north of San Marco to Pl San Gallo.

Nice quiet Hotel just behind St Marks Square. Great location! Good breakfast. The front door works on a buzzer system....which, when staying in room 3 you can hear when people come in late at night. Hotel was difficult to find, as they don't actually list the street name in their address, but that is typical in Venice! Paid a local one Euro to take us to it. Not ideal if you have a lot of luggage - hotel entrance is up a large flight of stairs.

The hotel is comfortable and affordable,with friendly, helpful and efficient staff. It is ideally situated in a lively area, perfect for exploring the city, while maintaing its own calm and restful atmosphere. The rooms are beautifully decorated and welcoming with clean, modern bathrooms. Breakfast is a plentiful and varied, good-quality buffet. We would be happy to stay here on future visits to Venice, and have already recommended it to friends.

Location, cleanliness Be warned (1) Many steps, no elevator; they claim it is stated in their description but it is not. (2) Reserved 3 rooms on booking.com, when we arrived we were forced to pay cash for 3rd room or be charged 7% if credit card. Paid cash. 3Rd room given receipt when pressed but cash- register tape only. Rudeness and hostility when questioned. Suspect they're scamming both tourists and taxes. Don't care about their taxes but resent being a patsy.

De ligging was perfect!!! Lekker simpel ontbijtje. Typishce ventiaanse kamers.. Alleen het personeel heeft ons verkeerd advies gegeven, bij ons vertrek in de ochtend I.V.M. de reistijd naar de luchthaven. Waardoor we een zeer dure watertaxi moesten nemen om ons vliegtuig te halen.

Der Komfort des Hotels entspricht nicht seinem Preis. Auf dem Platz vor dem Hotel ist es häufig recht laut. Das Zimmer, das mir zuerst angeboten wurde, hatte kein Tageslicht.

De ligging, vlak bij het San Marcoplein. Verder is het een niet te groot,vriendelijk hotel, met aardig en behulpzaam personeel.Het ontbijt is heel goed en het wordt geserveerd op een aardig dakterras. Het hotel heeft heeft maar een nadeel: het heeft geen echt mooi uitzicht.omdat het in het centrum van de stad ligt. Ook is het niet geschikt voor rolstoelgebruikers.

Hübsch angerichtetes Zimmer, freundliches Personal, sehr schöne Lage. Weder frisches Obst noch trockene Früchte zum Frühstück, gegen 9.30 gab es kein Müsli mehr (der Frühstück geht bis 10), ungenießbarer Saft, kein warmes Wasser aus dem Wasserhahn.

La situation geographique est excellente!!! Tout se trouve près de cet hotel! A 50metre de la place st-marc!! Personnel hyper acceuillant et disponible a tous moments! Les chambres sont nikel niveau propreté! Un petit déjeuner pas tres grand mais très copieux et il y a vraiment de tout à déguster!!! Un hotel a recommander sans hésitation! Les chambres un peu petites mais tres propres

Гостиница на втором этаже.Этаж высокий - 4 метра. Лифта нет. Сумки затаскивали как могли. Бронировали трёхместный номер, а дали двухместный тесный с раскладушкой у входной двери. Вонь в номере и санузле такая, что по возвращению домой обувь пришлось выветривать на улице. Не говоря уже о сумках и одежде. Завтрак никакой и ещё при входе. Жесть!

Castello has comfortable rooms, a pretty terrace and, most importantly, a fantastic location 650 ft from St. Mark's Basilica. It is a 5 minute walk from the Vaporetto (water bus) stop.
