Hotel Santa Maria Novella  

The staff was exceptional and attentive. They upgraded our room to a piaza view on arrival for no extra charge just because it was available. The location is superb; within a 2 to 10 minute stroll of all major downtown attractions in Florence. Room decor, size, and bathroom amenities were very high class. We will stay in this hotel again if stopping by in Florence.

It can be a little difficult to find. There is no large sign. When standing in the middle of Santa Maria Piazza, if you look facing the church, the hotel is at the 3 O'clock position on your right. You will have to pay for parking, but this is true for anywhere in downtown Firenza. Parking attendant was good and car was safe.

Staff extremely helpful. No problem when we wanted a bath instead of a shower. We were relocated most satisfactorily. I loved the rooms! Excellent breakfasts. Position ideal- only minutes from train station with buses nearby. Terrific stay.

The hotel santa Maria novella ticked all the boxes for me. I am a hotel owner myself with a critical eye. They have the packaged there product very well. I will return.

The Hotel is almost impossible to reach by car. However, it is really close from Santa Maria Novella train station, it is just a 5 minutes walk. Internet works fine just at the lobby, poor performance.

Interior, design, breakfast, view from junior suite to the square and Santa Maria Novella .staff is very friendly and helpthful.

Everything! very nice room, very clean, perfect to stay for a honeymoon trip or everything else. 4 star hotel that really deserve this!

Everything about this hotel was top rate - the rooms, facilities, staff, location.

We liked the breakfast buffet, the front desk staff, the location, our room's balcony, our room's big bathtub, the big walk-in closet, the whole style of the hotel.

This is minor, but there were many stairs to navigate after taking the elevator up to our floor. Ten steps up, then a hallway, then six steps down, hallway, another eight steps up...etc. My knees were giving out already from all the walking we did all day and then it was another challenge to get to our room.

Staying at Hotel Santa Maria Novella was a very nice experience. The hotel was very well furnished and decorated. The room was beautiful, with marble bathroom and luxurious textiles. The bed was very comfortable, all the facilities clean and well kept. Room service was excellent. Breakfast was good (though I missed porridge and boiled eggs!). The location is superb! I certainly recommend to pay the extra euro for a room with a view of Santa Maria Novella - magical! With a brisk walk your at the Duomo in 10 minutes and at the train station in 5 minutes. Staff friendly, helpful and smiling all the time!

The breakfast room was very beautiful but a bit too small to accomodate all the guests and on few mornings people had to wait in line for some time to get a seat.

Hello.we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The bell man was excellent and very friendly as we saw him coming and going. The breakfast area was wonderfully decorated and the food choices were perfect.
